Ch 10 ("Prim, Pretty Thing") is now up. :)

So I need some guidance...

I've got some big bra buddies and from time to time I will get complimented on them or I'll get the stare down.  I'm only 5 foot so its quite obvious when the neck strands just that much more to look down.  I've even had a wink or two thrown my way.  Attention is nice but sometimes I wish I could deflat the beasts when I don't want the attention.

My question here is what consitutes someone being a creep or slimey?  Is it our notion of the fishing guy (or hell maybe a girl) not being cute so we just put them in the creep catagory?  Maybe its just the actions that alert the attention.  

I was out to lunch today with my roommates when a guy walked past and before the guy could past it was a dead lock on my boobs with nothing being said other than "those are nice."  So it just got me thinking...is it creepy to be complimented like that?  But its also not like he said it too my face but under his poor failed tempt at saying it under his breath.

Okay - so I just got done reading Ladders by Marve and I CANNOT believe how it ended!!!!!  Is there a sequel to this - was there a sequel planned?  Someone help me out here - I'm dying!  I really enjoyed this thoroughly crazy, crude love story up until the end!

So...

I was watching "Twilight" when it was first released, enjoying the movie as best I could in the romantic bubble of Twimania and buttered popcorn which I'd constructed around myself. Everything was going swimmingly until the scene where Edward confesses to Bella that their interactions do not stop when she makes her nightly voyage to la-la land. 

"I like to watch you sleep," Edward tells her sheepishly.

Estrogen frenzies abounded. Every female in the audience collectively gasped with appreciation for the depth of this undead Lothario's devotion to his girl. 

Until the man sitting behind me decided to offer Bella some advice.

"RUN, BITCH! RUN!" he yelled, much to the delight of his friend and the disgust of everyone else.

Obviously, Bella didn't run, but it didn't matter: my bubble had been burst. Combine that with the amount of time spent combing through fic after fic in which Edward (Obsessed-ward) eats, sleeps, breathes and yanks it to thoughts of our erstwhile heroine while neglecting the mundane necessities of his life.

Yes, it's romantic when it's played out on the page, but would we be so appreciative of a man doing the same IRL? Probably not. Either way, I'm wondering:

So, some of you have known me for a while in this fandom and you may remember my particular loathing of a certain last book in a series. 

Soooooooo........now that the movie is coming out, I find myself in a conundrum.  Do I go see it or don't I?  I'm not gonna lie, I hate the whole idea of Renesmee and that disturbing birth scene and I hate the cheesiness of the honeymoon and so many other things.  But I have seen all the other movies and nothing could take away my love for the RPattz

Are there any other BD haters out there?  Are you going to see the movie?  Let's discuss!

Hello dear campers,

Since I've returned to the fandom after a long hiatus, I wanna read some really good fics. I even found some good ones recently, but like a fic h00r I'm already through with them. Can someone rec me some good stuff?

Of course, there are some hard limits that I never breach-

-Smoking characters, esp E or B, put me off. And that includes pot. Jeesh I can't stand that in fic, sue me.

-Characters doing drugs. Same as smoking.

-Cheating main characters.

-Extreme manwhore/whore (or very sexually active with many partners if you like me to put it delicately) behavior of main characters.

-Unreasonable misunderstandings that cause breakups or contrived plot points. (But I suppose that'd be missing in good fics, right?)

-Abusive main characters. And when I mean abusive, it covers fics like Unexpected Circumstances, MOTU, and such fics which are somehow taken as softcore. Not for me, so sue me again.

-Non-canon parings.

I think thats about it. Please rec me something that has none of the above mentioned things. I usually prefer reading AU/canon, but AH is also welcome.

I've been wanting to try out some new products, but don't really know what's worth buying.

So, I'm asking you to reccomend me the makeup, hair, face and body products you're loving right now.

I'm a beta for PTB, and I absolutely absolutely absolutely love it. In actual fact, I think I like beta'ing more than I like writing.

Well anyway, we all know that having a beta can make or break a story, and I was wondering why the fandom has such a massive array of willing betas, but the murky world of original fiction doesn't.

I'm working on an original WIP and can't bloody find a beta anywhere! And I really really think that I would be a darn sight better off with one, but I can't find one anywhere! Why is this?

The website scribophile.com (awesome by the way - loads of writing tips and suggestions and hilarious people on there) have the closest thing I think to what we have here, but the way that it is formatted etc doesn't fare well for having one or two people constantly looking out for one story. It's more flighty, if you know what I mean, with different people dropping in when they feel like it, not necessarily for more than one chapter and people don't like critiquing chaps longer than 2,000 words...

So does anyone have any suggestions? Fancy being a beta? Any ideas why the fandom has a much larger support network for writers than the real world seems to?
