So another sleepless night for me. I decided to read some fanfic I've been reading and need to catch up on. Well I click my favorites and scroll down to "The Boy by the Window". But when I click it the page says it can not be found. Does anyone know what happened to it. I was really into that story and now its gone.

ADF'S FIRST OFFICIAL CONTEST

wtvoc presents:

Create A Different Forest's New Moon Soundtrack!

You create a playlist of songs that you think should have been on the soundtrack- if you were in charge of that sort of thing.  Let's keep it to ten songs, yes?

The playlists will be submitted to ADF and considered by some of the Rangers.  Finalists will be sent on for consideration, and one winner will get a New Moon Calendar! 

Rules:

1. Choose no more than 10 songs that should have been on the soundtrack.  Be creative, use the books (or your favorite AU-New Moon fic) for inspiration.  Do not use any tracks from the New Moon or Twilight soundtracks or scores.

2. Generate a playlist using an online playlist generator (imeem.com, playlist.com, etc.) and then copy the url (That's the part that looks like http://www.zomgiloverob.com/jizzinmahpants_playlist, not the embed code).

3. Send us a copy of the url to info@adifferentforest.com with the subject "New Moon Playlist Contest" no later than midnight on Wednesday, November 18.  Please include the name of your playlist as well as your ADF Camper name.

4. Final playlists will be chosen by an unidentified ranger (and it probably won't be me, so don't bother trying to sweeten me up by putting a lot of Arcade Fire on your list).  Winner will be announced on New Moon Release day- Friday, November 20th.

5. The winner will be contacted via PM and celebrated in their own thread that weekend.  An address will need to be provided so you can get your very own New Moon Calendar!

6. Honorable mention playlists will be featured on the thread, but you don't get any tangible prizes, yo.  Sorry.  You get a big ole thumbs up from me, howzabout that?  And a shout-out from your rangers.

This is the best thing that's happened to me all day.  And I've had a great day.  Sooo....I know it's over an hour late..but can we discuss?  We have so much catching up to do for our New Moon reading group.

My man is away with work a lot, so I have become fiercely independent. We recently bough a condo, and decided to replace the nasty carpet with laminate. Of course, because this is my life we are talking about, Mr. got called into work early, leaving me to fight with the carpet, underlay, glue, and holes in the concrete.

ANYWAY. Today I ventured into Home Depot to buy a mitre saw so I could start cutting and laying the laminate. This is how my checking-out conversation went:

Checkout Lady: Is this a gift for someone?

Me: No, it's for me.

CL: Oh... *side eye*

Me: Yeah, I'm laying a laminate floor.

CL: Who is?

Me: Me. By myself.

CL: What? Can you do do that with no help?

Me : *side eye* Yep. K Thx. Bye.

Really? A young lady can't buy herself a sweet power tool and lay her own flooring in this day and age? Anyone else have any tales of people lacking confidence in your abilities? Serious, my blood was boiling.

  I about fell off my chair! I so needed this today...

After watching that awesome vid of Scotch, Gin & the New Girl.. it got me to thinking.. 

Of a time when a Scotch update had me dropping absolutely EVERYTHING (including working) to read, of prayers to the gods of Gin that we'd get a new update, of Gin & Tonic Wednesday afternoons spent discussing what my sister and I thought would happen next.. of emails and IM chats trying to figure out if a particular sentence hinted of things to come one way or another .. of my gdoc filled with lines/paragraphs/moments in SG&TNG that just struck me so much that i needed to keep them forever.. even now, I can't look at a slurpee machine without seeing Bella & Emmett in Jaspers car after the incident at Mimi's.. a wallet chain takes me to the ogling of Ginspers ass (in my mind of course) , those new pics of RPatzz with the sex book are Edward.. RunDmc and Aerosmith are Emmett

So apart from just regushing over how much I enjoyed.. nay LOVED WTVOC and JandCo's brilliance.. a question came to mind. 

With just one line, or image.. makes you remember a fic? 

For me.. "I'm in", "Me and La Bella" "Cherry Gin Slurpees" "Big Poppa"  and that's just from this fic..

My question to you oh woodland creatures... what lines do it for you? Can you think of some from the top of your head that the rest of us get to guess where they're from?

I hope you're enjoying the new site. I'm here to show you some of the new features and hopefully give you a little tutorial.

I've seen some comments about avatars, and that you can't get them to work. They will not work unless the image that you're using is 100pixelsx100pixels. The size limit is 300KB, I believe.

Reviews - You won't see them unless you review. No one has reviewed anything, so get to reading and reviewing and you shall see them!

Now for some of the other features that we're excited to show you.

As you can see, there is a PM'ing option.

When you're sending a PM to someone, all you have to do is start typing in the box who it is meant to go to, and a list of names will pop up. Just click the one you want and write your message, and send. That's it. Pretty easy.

Latest Campfires and Latest Chapters.

We have this nifty little program installed, and it automatically updates the sidebars with the latest campfires and chapters. If you're busy ready a fic, it will update those features automatically without you having to refresh the site, to see what's going on!

HTML (SOURCE) and Richtext editor.

When making a campfire or posting a comment, and you want to post a video, sparkle text, pictures, or a link, it'll help if you have an understanding of HTML and the richtext editor. I know a lot of you probably don't know HTML very well, and that's okay, my suggestion to you is to play around while you're making a comment/campfire. Hit all the buttons, and see what functions they have. The easiest way to make the distinction between HTML and richtext is the "Source" button. When you hit the source button, all the other features will go away. See below.

If you're still having difficulty with these functions, you can click on my icon at the top of the page (The really hot guy smiling unf unf) and I'll be happy to help you out, as I'm sure the other rangers will be also, but some of them don't know this stuff either. I'M LOOKING AT YOU, JANDCO.

 Is it just me or is anyone wondering why there is no Ben in the Twilight Saga movies? In one of the New moon clips that I saw Angela was holding hands with Eric. I know there was no casting role for Ben but, I really wish they would have casted someone to play him. He may not have been a big character in the saga books but, Ben was mentioned more than Eric.
