We all know that in the twi-verse there are some really obsessed people, and as I'm looking at my Twitter feed right now, I see a ton of them going nuts with all the pics that have been released this past week.

I think I even saw one of them say that they were taking one of the pics of Rob at the piano and writing a fic about it - HELLO, PIANO LESSONS - IT'S BEEN DONE BEFORE.

ANYWAY, ON TO MY GAME.

WHAT I'D LIKE PEOPLE TO DO IT IS:

Take ONE pic that has been released, it can be from Rob's Vanity Fair outtakes, or from this really bad Harper's Bazaar shoot, and you're to write a summary for a fic based on that picture.

FUNNY PICTURES NEEDED!

A BAD DAY: Taken from my peed off thoughts. (1) Where one person has had bad luck all through a certain day.

My days are usually a drag and suck real bad anyway, and the only thing that helps me through those bad days is the great land of Fan Fiction, and all you campers here on A Different Forest. But, today was even worse...

To start off, I got up late. And was still tired. And then my whole family started moaning at me for petty things, I couldn't find my shoes or my pass and I hadn't done my RE homework or English coursework. Not to mention I lost my Science textbook, which is so big I don't understand how I did. Then, I missed my train so had to wait for another, and there was no seats left. Then I missed my bus, and in turn was late to school. I then got in trouble for being late, and then continued to get in trouble for all the things I forgot or lost. I then got in trouble for wearing a purple bobble, because my school insist on black. Then I was sick. My Maths teacher moved me places, so now I sit on my own. My shoes gave my blisters. I fell down the stairs, and then nearly fell up them. Then I went really hyper at lunch and spilt drink all over my blazer. And, then I had to attend two detentions. Yeah, I ditched one. And then it started to rain, and I fell over again (luckily no one we there to see me since I had just left detention, meaning everyone had gone). Then I missed the train again, and had to stand up when I did get on it. I got home and got moaned at to do several things and my brothers are starting to annoy me. And its not even seven pm yet...

As you can see, I've had a crappy day, and all I want to do is laugh all the stress and anger out. So, if you campers could be a bunch of dears and send me some funny pictures of the Twilight cast? It can be any of them, I don't care, I just need something to make me laugh. And, while your at it, why don't you guys share some of your crappy day experiences?

Well, hello my little woodland creatures! 

Before I get down to business this morning, I just want to tell you guys how FREAKIN' excited I am to here on the BRAND NEW ADF!!!  I so excited about joining the already FABULOUS team of Rangers!  I want to say thanks again to JENNYFLY and WOLVESNVAMPS for letting me in on this AMAZING adventure!  

Now, down to business! 

ICONS!  For me, on any website a fabulous ICON/AVATAR is worth a thousands words!  On an internet community, the only way we can express ourselves is through our words and through our pictures!  And many of you might know that I love doing fan art and making icons!  I am all about the visuals, bbs!  (See some of my work under the CARVINGS tab at the top of the page!!!)

So, I am coming to you this morning with promises of wonderful icon/avatar gifts!  I currently have a wordpress blog graphicsatthehollow.wordpress.com but it hasn't been updated in quite a while.  With school, work, and helping with the new site, it has been neglected!  NOT ANYMORE! 

What I plan to do is to start updating the blog weekly with some new icons and letting you guys know when I do!  I know many of us get icons from LJ, but it would be nice to have a source for icons here!  

So, until I can update, here are a few I made a while back.  Enjoy!

Here is a little something this morning.  I feel like pimpin' these guys out after seeing them Sunday night...

 So another sleepless night for me. I decided to read some fanfic I've been reading and need to catch up on. Well I click my favorites and scroll down to "The Boy by the Window". But when I click it the page says it can not be found. Does anyone know what happened to it. I was really into that story and now its gone.

ADF'S FIRST OFFICIAL CONTEST

wtvoc presents:

Create A Different Forest's New Moon Soundtrack!

You create a playlist of songs that you think should have been on the soundtrack- if you were in charge of that sort of thing.  Let's keep it to ten songs, yes?

The playlists will be submitted to ADF and considered by some of the Rangers.  Finalists will be sent on for consideration, and one winner will get a New Moon Calendar! 

Rules:

1. Choose no more than 10 songs that should have been on the soundtrack.  Be creative, use the books (or your favorite AU-New Moon fic) for inspiration.  Do not use any tracks from the New Moon or Twilight soundtracks or scores.

2. Generate a playlist using an online playlist generator (imeem.com, playlist.com, etc.) and then copy the url (That's the part that looks like http://www.zomgiloverob.com/jizzinmahpants_playlist, not the embed code).

3. Send us a copy of the url to info@adifferentforest.com with the subject "New Moon Playlist Contest" no later than midnight on Wednesday, November 18.  Please include the name of your playlist as well as your ADF Camper name.

4. Final playlists will be chosen by an unidentified ranger (and it probably won't be me, so don't bother trying to sweeten me up by putting a lot of Arcade Fire on your list).  Winner will be announced on New Moon Release day- Friday, November 20th.

5. The winner will be contacted via PM and celebrated in their own thread that weekend.  An address will need to be provided so you can get your very own New Moon Calendar!

6. Honorable mention playlists will be featured on the thread, but you don't get any tangible prizes, yo.  Sorry.  You get a big ole thumbs up from me, howzabout that?  And a shout-out from your rangers.

Have fun with this!  I'm very excited about it, and it's just the first of many contests we have coming up!

This is the best thing that's happened to me all day.  And I've had a great day.  Sooo....I know it's over an hour late..but can we discuss?  We have so much catching up to do for our New Moon reading group.

My man is away with work a lot, so I have become fiercely independent. We recently bough a condo, and decided to replace the nasty carpet with laminate. Of course, because this is my life we are talking about, Mr. got called into work early, leaving me to fight with the carpet, underlay, glue, and holes in the concrete.

ANYWAY. Today I ventured into Home Depot to buy a mitre saw so I could start cutting and laying the laminate. This is how my checking-out conversation went:

Checkout Lady: Is this a gift for someone?

Me: No, it's for me.

CL: Oh... *side eye*

Me: Yeah, I'm laying a laminate floor.

CL: Who is?

Me: Me. By myself.

CL: What? Can you do do that with no help?

Me : *side eye* Yep. K Thx. Bye.

Really? A young lady can't buy herself a sweet power tool and lay her own flooring in this day and age? Anyone else have any tales of people lacking confidence in your abilities? Serious, my blood was boiling.
