I have been reading fics such as Frontline/Fridays at Noon/MOTU and I am craving this smart, successful, rich, and SEXY Edward that is in these fics.

I'm sitting here curled up in bed with a mug of tea trying to keep myself amused while attempting to ward off a cold.

I just started the netflix free trial and found that there are a lot of movies that are DVD only. I was hoping to just have instant streaming. I am cheap so netflix alone is a big step for me.

So to the ppl who have netflix---- how has it worked for you?

I need photos of kids for a school project. You, your kids, your parents: as long as they're under 18 in the pics. And decently clothed, please OMG.

I'm a grad student working on my masters in secondary education & for my basic pedagogical psychology course I have a Picture Portfolio project which requires me to collect at least fifty photos representing the different developmental stages children go through as they mature.

You, Campers, can help me by posting pictures that you'll allow me to put in my powerpoint for my professor.

Here are some examples of the kinds of pictures I am looking for, but I am not married to just these parameters, so feel free to offer up photos outside of these suggestions.

PLEASE GIVE ME THE AGE OF THE CHILD/CHILDREN IN THE PHOTO OR THE GRADE IN WHICH THEY'RE PLACED AT THE TIME THE PHOTO WAS TAKEN.

So I'm in a music video mood.  I want you to show off your favorite music videos.

I don't mean just show me one of your favorite songs music video.

Tell me what/why you like a video, is there one you just can't get enough of?

I've been debating this campfire for months now...but I figure I need to just bite the bullet and ask...

This campfire is about CONFIDENCE. 

Of which I have very little... and no this isn't a pity party :)  I hate the way I look (but really, what woman is ever completely satisfied with their looks?).  When I am in a professional situation, with people that make me nervous, I stutter like a fool and giggle when I'm nervous.  I can't take myself seriously, so how should they?  When I am in a friendly setting, I can crack jokes and be incredibly personable.   So clearly I have some ability to be a human being... :P

I am a thirty year old wife and mother, I have a job I hate and have been looking for a new one for months.  A couple of months ago I had an interview for a job that I thought I had in the bag.  I had a great resume, I knew several of the staff members of the new facility, and two had been my managers previously.  I even had a glowing letter of recommendation from one of them.  I was already familiar with their company and computer system, so training would be a snap.  Come interview time and I completely blew it.  Absolutely without a doubt I was my own worst enemy in this situation.  Obviously, I didn't get the job.

So, my question is, are you a confident person?  If not, do you fake it?  How do you gain confidence?  Is confidence a learned trait from your youth and I have missed the boat entirely?  Give me some tips...techniques...ideas?  I don't necessarily need interviewing tips, there are tons of webites with that info, and my MIL is always offering her services for mock interviews...Thank you campers!

Have you read Hit by Destiny? I seriously stayed up all night reading it. And proceeded to spend the rest of my weekend continuing. I'm still not done. Then again, I kind of paused because of RL...

Anyone reading House of Cards?

Because holy mother of bleeps it is the saddest thing I have ever read.

It is absolutely fantastic so far, but I don't think I've ever cried so much in entire my life, let alone a story.

In fact I am pretty sure the only other fic I have cried over was The Best Man.... and I think we can all agree that it was pretty effing sad!

I just  read all the completed chapters non stop, and I think I cried during 17 out of 18.

This story is just ridiculously heart wrenching, my eyes are puffy and feel like they weigh a million pounds right now.

It is definitely heavy on the angst, but if you are looking for a good cry I don't think you'll be disappointed.

So, is anyone else totally captivated by this fic?

So now on Friday nights the Sundance channel plays My So Called Life, and even though I have the dvd set I must watch.  I must say I am thoroughly freaked out that I am now closer to Angela's mom's age then Angela who I think was supposed to be a year older than me when the show actually aired. 

But anyway this is an appreciation post.   Tell me how much you love this show or why you don't get it (I remembered being appalled when a girl on my cheerleading squad in HS told me she didn't get the show, she said she rather watch the new show on at the same time, it was Friends.  I always blamed Friends for MSCL being canceled.)

Who do you most relate to??   Who would other people say you are most like?

I thought I was an Angela back in the day.  Now when I watch I realize I was totally Sharon.

Edward's departure is the perfect segue for thousands of stories, but...

I've always wondered...

What if Bella left first?

Not because she doesn't love him or anything like that, but for the same reason Edward leaves her.

I'm looking for stories that take place in New Moon, after Bella's birthday, but before Edward leaves.

Maybe Bella has a past that no one knows about? Maybe she's in danger and she doesn't want Edward to get caught in the crossfire?

There are so many ways this could go.

Bella's a witch and there are demons after her... Bella's a hunter and again there are demons after her... Bella's a Jumper and paladins are after her.  Bella's a whitelighter and the Elders have put there foot down--Bella can't be with Edward. Bella is a vampire and she's in danger. Maybe she knows that Klaus has found her?

It could be a crossover. Whatever. (Charmed, Supernatural, Jumper, Vampire Diaries)

Just as long as Bella leaves before Edward has a chance to and that she does it out of love.

Here are just a few of mine:

I think public toilets should play music, all of them. I find peeing is so awkward in a quiet room when you know there are others there, so like you try and pee quieter, I'm not even sure if that's possible. But yeah if music was played quite loudly then there wouldn't be that worry. Then those times where you accidentally let out a bottom burp and die of shame because you know everyone in the room heard it echo around the bowl would be gone because the music would over power it. If you take friends to the loo you can always have someone make sure the hand dryer is on nice and loud, but what if you go alone? Thus toilet music i think would be a great idea.

What is with the horrific tan lines in porn? It just looks silly.

How come in the UK only London has the whole stand on the right on an escalator? I think everywhere should adopt this. 

What annoys me about all you can eat buffets is you're sat there slowly exploding, unable to eat anymore, then a few hours you're sat thinking.... I wish i ate more... like right now, i want some food but i have nothing to snack on and all im doing is thinking about all that food i ate earlier wishing i had more...
