For everyone who knows my on Twitter, knows I work at Toys R Us part time. Today we are having an event to raise money for ALSF. None of my co workers had ever heard of the foundation before we started taking donations. But I was proud to actually know all about it, and it makes me happy to ask my customers to donate to such a deserving cause. (Make sure you go to you local TRU and donate when you can.)

Now tell me something in your life you would have never known about if it wasn't for the fandom.

Every reader has pet peeves. Mine are words that I just...never want to see again.  Words used incorrectly so frequently that I almost fear using them properly -- will anyone understand me if I don't mess them up?  Words that are just...gross.  Come whinge about your dislikes.  (And toss in a few favorites to shake it off when you're done!)

It's a new initiative in the Twilight fandom: you set a goal and EBS betas will help you reach it. While you write, your assigned beta will be there to talk to you about what troubles you, answer questions, or simply encourage you.

So, I have a question for you and I hope that this won't turn into a horrible debate about right and wrong and yada yada yada...

What is your opinion on Guy-on-Guy action? (Or any slash for that matter) How about a menage a trois? A menage a cinq? (Hehe)

I ask this because...

Wednesday night, I attended a Panic At The Disco concert. While the band only consists of Brendon (<3) and Spencer now, there are two other guys touring with them.

Anyway, during the performance, these two guys were singing their hearts out to each other, mere inches separating their faces. And I must say, I was kind of hoping they'd kiss. It was damn hot. I have a ridiculous amount of regret that I didn't snap a picture.

It seems that in fic, we're exposed to quite a lot of controversial things... In fact, I remember a time when I shied away from lemons.

Now I'm reading an assortment of Guy/Girl/Guy stories (usually actively seeking them out).

Has reading fanfiction altered your view on different sexual pairings?

Also, one of the guys may have carried Brendon off stage. Bridal style. =)

IF JAMES, EDWARD, AND JACOB CAN PLAY A FUN GAME OF "SAY MERCY" WHY CAN'T BLOGGERS?

I don't follow very many blogs, nor do i tweet, or FB. However, recently one of my fellow blogger commentors mentioned how hateful ppl are on various blogs. So curiosity got my tounge and 30 minutes later let me say......I LOST MY FAITH IN HUMANITY!

I can't believe how hateful ppl who call themselves "fans" can be or ppl in general. This led to a discussion with my sister who said cyberbulling is awful for tweens ( my nephew) on FB. I am just amazed and so fearful, what is happening to society and what is to become of our future generations!

So after some thought I decided to seek you ladies ( guys ? ). Everyone is so kind here and the other places I visit. What makes some sites feed hate while others allow differences in opinions, yet do it kindly. I was raised that if you can't say something nice about someone DON'T say it. SO WHATS YOUR THOUGHTS? RESTORE MY FAITH IN PPL! TELL ME WAYS FB OR TWITTER HAS BEEB HELPFUL RATHER THAN HURTFULL! PLEASE HELP ME LADIES...IM CONSIDERING THROWING MY MODEM OUT THE WINDOW IN THOUGHTS THAT THE DEVIL MAY HAVE CREATED THE INTERNET...LOL ( JK....maybe not)

So I didn't see another post on this but is Pottermore basically a dedicated Harry Potter fanfiction site with the bonus of have new JK Rowling  official new content?   Do you think it will have choose your own adventure type fanfic prompts?   I am a Potter fan but I never have read it's fanfiction because I felt like JK does it right, and well I never had the desire to read about the Potter kids doing dirty things to each other, I always feel like it would be like reading about my little brother getting it on with his little friends, ick.  I imagine there will be no rated R content on that site because she makes an effort of calling it a safe environment so I figure rated G it is.   What do you think you excited?

So I was thinking today about authors who flouce the fandom. Alot of them just got sick of the bull that sometimes come with this fandom and other got there work published. I was thinking about oohhhllaaa or however she spelled it. I miss her fics so bad, I keep thinking how bloodlines would have ended. Anyways, my question for everyone is which author do you miss you flouced and if anyone has updates they want to share about some authors they still keep in contact. *hope this is fine since it's free for all*

<3 <3 <3I LOOOOOOOVES me some Kpop...almost as much as I love the slight crookedness of RPatz teefs when he smiles <3(not even trynna be funny I seriously loves that shiz) Anyways does anybody else get down to SHINee or 2pm or 2am or 2NE1 or is this a lost cause?? haha! Anyways come in and lets chat about Korean stuffs or just Asian stuffs in general. I studuied abroad in China last semester and had LOADS of fun! If anyone has any similar experiences or just wants to talk about armpit hair...LET'S DO IT TO IT LARS! :)

it's probably a given that campers in the forest are avid readers. So share some pictures of your most treasured hardcovers.  Maybe they're valuable, maybe they're sentimental, maybe they're inspiring but do share yours with us.

Here are mine: A copy of Pride & Prejudice from 1917  and a signed copy of The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society.  

Some of you know me, some of you don't , but I need everyone's help. I am 31 weeks preggo and baby boy is still nameless. We had daughter's name picked out WAY before this point in the pregnancy. So give me some good ideas of names that go with middle name of Kurt (set in stone as it's grandfather's name).

I am about to strangle hubs because we cannot agree on names. He hates my pick of Ethan and keeps changing his: 1. Alexander, shortened to Alex which is what daughter calls our dog... werid, 2. Henry I was warming up to then he changed his mind, 3. Mason which really ticks me off because Mason was on my original list and he said it reminds him of Mason jar so now that's all I think of!!

Some preferences of course because I have OCD!!!

1. two syllabuls, I think it goes better with a one syllabul middle name

2. professional sounding, so it's hard for me to like a name like Bobby, Riley, Billy

3. above 2. leads me to no names that can be shorted to nick names that don't sound professional.

4. easily spelled and pronouced because this kid will spend the rest of his life trying to correct the spelling and saying of our last name

My mom was going to call me Robert, so I was thinking of that but hubs nixed it... care to guess why???? Has a lot to do with this website ;)

Ok, so call me some names!!!

So this is my first campfire and I don't want this to be my first campfire because all I'm going to do is moan, but I feel so... eurgh. 

I have chickenpox, it really sucks. I can't be around people, I can't go to work and I LOVE my job and no one will come near me. Sigh. As you might gather, I'm rather bored. Bored outta my head, in fact. 

So please, pretty please with cherries and whipped cream and chocolate and toffee sauce, can someone rec me something or show me funny stuff or something. Anything.

Since it's FFA I start this CF to ask for help once again!! I'm leaving for Miami in 2 days hurrrayyyyy!

My question concerns the tips you have to give in restaurant and so on, I'm french and in my country we do not tip since the service is included in the prices of the meal. My question is when do I have to tip ? Only in "seated" restaurant ? Do I need to tip if I'm ordering food to take away? Do I need to tip in fast food chains (kfc Burger Kings?) if I believe the fabulous Q tarantino you don't tip in fast food ( opening scene from reservoir dogs !!) I was told to tip the taxi drivers too. How much must I give ? I think it's around 20% BUT I'm not sure... Do I need to tip in other situations as well ? 

Please let me know, don't want to be seen as the rude and stingy french girl !!

Another question completly unrelated do you guys manage to post on adf with your iphone ? I got an iphone 4 and it doesn't want to type in the "typing window" (I don't know how to call the window that pops up where you can write in it!!)

Tomorrow is my best friend's baby shower which my other best friend and I are planning, we have everything ready (Thank goodness!) and most of the games are ready, we have the most basic games (baby bingo, measure the belly, etc.) but I think that will only make for a couple of games not enough for the baby shower (we bought around 20 prizes), so I was wondering what you lovely campers thought are must have games in a baby shower, are there any games that stand out to you that you love? Maybe pin the sperm to the egg (yes this game does exist)?
