Hubby is looking for a new job and TX is one of the places on the list.

We hadn't been really getting positive results when looking for a job, however, I recieved a phone call from Houston that said he may be able to help with hubby's job!!!! It's no Utah (Which was our second choice!!) But we'll see how it goes! *Cross-fingers!!*

Edward was with Jessica and they lived together and been together for a while one day Edward gets into a finder bender with Bella and he falls for her and starts to date her while still living with Jessica then either Bella finds out about Jessica or Edward tells her and she slaps him i think and tells him she's done with him and Edward is serious depressed after that and starts to pull away from Jessica too then i remember Bella taking him back but he was still with Jessica and him wanting to be with Bella but always not wanting to break Jessica heart but he eventually breaks up with Jessica

umm it was told in third person and was about three maybe four chapters does anyone remember this

Well, she's finally showed her ugly face here in the northern suburbs of NYC.  

We are hunkered down here.  I'll be spending the night in the den downstairs myself.  We've got the flash lights and candles ready, as well as the cell phones charged.  I've compiled a list of phone numbers for hotels in the area just in case, as well as a list of what to pack, just in case.  Got a few new books today, as well as a couple of coloring books and a box of 96 Crayola crayons...just to pass the time (seriously...98 colors??)

Hoping everyone who is or was in the destructive path of this beast is ok!

I know we discussed this on here a while back, about all the creepy twists this could have had, but didn't. I don't know if anyone is still reading from here, but Ch30 has just posted and features Charlie finding out about Edward.

Any thoughts??

I hope all campers along the US Eastern Seaboard are safe and ready for the coming hurricane.  Since I live in hurricane alley, I know how stressful and frightening these times can be.

I am very tickled this morning though because it seems that my fanfic reading and writing habit has paid off a little.

Last year, I started writing an AH, E&B fiction called Parma High.  It was set in southwest Florida and part of the story was about a hurricane that hits the area.

Bella finds herself alone with the storm coming upon her, so she uses a guide that was written by an old Florida boy to prepare for a hurricane and it is described in Chapter 19 of the story.

Through twitter and some websites, I have discovered that some of Parma High's readers who are in the path of Irene used it to prepare for her.  This thrills me to no end. (And also justifies some of the overly-detailed crap I write in my stories.)

I am so glad I may have helped some people. :)

So, in your opinion, how has fanfiction been helpful/useful/important?

Am I the only one seriously annoyed by summaries shouting that the story has LEMONS? My TBR list used to be huge, but I'm so damn annoyed by that I'm deleting those one by one. idk, in my sick mind it's like an indication that the author doesn't feel too confident in her plot or in her writing. Or is it an ff.net rule, yk, that the authors have to state it even if the story's rated M?

My ADF profile said that my bio is not completed! And it has a sad face:( How do I make the sad face go away? Its making me a sad puppy!

Ok, I need to have a pity party and I've decided to invite ADF to join me.

I sit here, in a suburb north of NYC and wait for Hurricane Irene to come blowing on in. 

My primary concern?  That one of my neighbors gargantuan Oak trees come tumbling down onto my poor little Kia Sportage...which, if badly damaged, I won't be able to afford to replace.

Why, you might ask, will I not be able to replace a cheap car?

Because I'm unemployed.

Yes, I'm unemployed...and single.  Have I mentioned I'm single?  Yep...I am.  In fact, I'm so single I'm willing to bet that I've single handedly been responsible for countless men changing teams.  

And two days ago, my beloved MacBook Pro decided to kick the bucket.  Because I'm unemployed and broke, instead of replacing my best friend of 4 years, I need to have the poor thing repaired (for $310) .  But first?  I have to bring it somewhere for data recovery, since I never backed anything up and ALL of the fic's I'm working on are on it (along with all of my ROB!!)

And have I mentioned we are awaiting the arrival of what could possibly be a devistating hurricane?  (I think I did...)

It's gotten so bad that if I had a dog, he'd probably run away.  

So, as I sit and dwell on this with the Weather Channel droning on in the background, I realized something, and it depresses me...because my life has become a country song...

So...What kind of song is your life right now?  Humor me, please...I need all the laughs I can get until the power goes out and I'm unable to get online for the next week....*sigh*

I have three sisters that I have invited to be bridesmaids.  We will call them Missy, Olive, & Gertty. Olive and Gertty have not spoken to each other in over four years, but I could not invite one without inviting the other....My first mistake.

Olive often refuses to even be at the same function as Gertty, so when I asked her to be a bridesmaid, I warned her that I had asked all three sisters. Her first response was that she would do it if, and only if, she was not put behind Gertty in order of importance. She said if I could not do this, she would gracefully sit out.

Gertty has no care in the world about where she stands, and has no problems with Olive so, even though I was annoyed, I let Olive have her demand.  

The next demand from Olive came a few days later when she informed me that she would not be taking any pictures standing next to Gertty. Again she also told me that if this was a problem, she would gracefully sit out. I told Olive that I could not predict what the photographer would consider aesthetically pleasing, and therefore could not guarantee where she would be asked to stand. She said that if the photographer asked her to get all cuddly with Gertty, she would decline to take that pose and that if I had a problem with that, she would sit out gracefully. 

Next we have the sash of wrath, as my father has now named it.. I had let the bridesmaids choose all of their attire, asking only that they wear a black dress that I could put a sash on. Olive, of course, had already refused to wear a sash saying that it would cinch her waist. I had agreed to let her wear a shawl, but on the day of the shower, tried to simply show her what a sash would look like.  Having had several glasses of champagne, she proceeded to yell at me, calling me bridezilla, and telling me that I could not demand she wear a sash.

I had enough at this point but wanted to not cause any drama, so instead of kicking Olive out of the wedding, I told her that I was going let her wear a shawl, and put Missy between her and Gertty so they did not have to be close in pictures. I was however, mad enough to tell her that I was not putting her first. Upon telling her this is what I was doing, she told me she had to think about whether or not she could be a bridesmaid. 

Several hours later, she calls me and tells me that I should make that decision for her, knowing what I was putting her through. So....I booted her. (She was far from graceful about it.) I had enough of the drama and was tired of having my intended watch me cry over the situation.

My mother is trying to convince me to let Olive still be a bridesmaid, should I do this? And how ridiculous was I to kick her out in the first place?

This week I had an appointment. 

You know what appointment I'm talking about. 

The yearly one that no woman looks forward to. 

This visit left me with some questions the doc couldn't answer for me (or wouldn't, I couldn't tell if she was really that excited over it or if she was trying to sell it to me) about birth control. 

So, I'm asking you lovely ladies for some feedback and stories, and in return I'll do my best to help you out with your TMI questions, etc.
