So today is International Literacy Day, and since all of us found ADF because of the written word, I thought it was appropriate to do a post.

I know many people attribute Twilight to rekindling their love of reading, was that the case for you, or have you always been an avid reader?   Maybe it was a different book/series that got you back into reading.

If you want to learn about the animalistic inner nature of vampires (not evil nature, in the case of the Cullens, just animalistic) do read it. I am speechless. Father and son and yet Alpha and Beta… amazing. And the description of the harsh fight between Carlisle and Edward, OMG. To write at length about bodies in movement is the ultimate challenge for an author!

Both of her stories "Don't Stand so Close to Me' http://www.fanfiction.net/s/6653645/1/ and 'Hot Pitch' http://www.fanfiction.net/s/6654205/1/ were updating regularly until the beginning of April, and then just stopped.  I really hope all is well with her and would love to finish reading both of her fun stories, especially DSsCtM.

Woohoo an update! I've been hoping that everything was ok with the author since it's been a while.  She gives us a summary at the beginning of the chapter.  I love this story so much!  Lets discuss!

I got an email today from someone asking for permission to translate my story Beautiful Sorrow to German. My first reaction is "OMG! Yesssss! Yay!" Then I came down from my high and realized I should put some thought behind this before jumping in head first. To those who are wiser and more knowledgable, please share your thoughts with me. I was reading Miami at Twilight by Mischief-Maker1 this am (she really lives up to her name, let me tell you!!) and LITERALLY while in the midst of reading a chapter, she pulls all of her fics from ffn.  When I clicked to go to the next chapter it said this story doesn't exist (or something technical).  After yelling "WHAT THE HELL?" and getting very strange glances from my husband, I went back to her profile.  There it is in black and white, she's gone and taken all her fics with her.  Has this ever happened to anyone??  Now, of course, I just have to know what happens.  Can ya help a sista out?!  Does anyone have a copy they would be willing to share or can you direct me to where I might find one? PLEEEEEEEASE!!

What is going on here?  I am looking at HOME of different forest and what is going on?????  I'm not very tech savvy - have been gone for a couple of weeks but has the log in bar, search bar, etc all changed?  I'm lost!!!!!

On another matter (please bear with me cuz I'm a little frazzled)  I discovered today that another fic that I've had on my reading list has been pulled The Caged Bird Sings.  I'm trying to figure out how to search for info on this in the Forest but can't figure out how to search the campfires for pulled fics.  

I KNOW I AM WHINING but someone please HELP me!
