hello campers!!

i'm back!! i ws tlkng to withthevampiresofcourse (wtvoc)....n like u kno im super new to fandom...so we hit a hot topic n i wanted to start a campfire on it...(actually wtvoc suggested it but noone hs to kno tht rt?)

but before i ask i wanna lay down a few things....one i'm just someone who reads fanfic...i cant write to save my life...i hv no idea how the literary world works...n i know even less about fandom...

having established that im curious 'why do people publish thier well reviewed or popular fanfictions?'

i mean isnt that weird...people publishing the same thing they wrote as fanfic...i understand why people love to write it....its just a personal opinion i dnt mean to offend anyone at all...im too new to kno anyone personally...maybe i dont understand properly...i just thought that fanfiction was where people write about stories they're passionate about...it almost sounds like derived literature....

im sorry...i really dont know anything about all this...im just curious...i actually saw an author called clpsuperstar, the one who wrote Million Dollar Baby, she has 2 published novels and tons of fanfic too...none of them are same....i honestly thought tht fanfic is like a creative kickstart...once people get confident enough to trust in their writing...they dwelve deeper into thier creativity and come up with completely new characters and plots and stuff...n publish it....

i want everyone's opinion on this because i'm trying to see this objectively...i dont support one single opinion yet...tel me campers wht do u think about this?

The much awaitied confrontation is over. i love how they talked s.. about their relationship and feeling now i see jasper a s an angel that helps bella overcome her self introspection and be not afriad for the changes coz sometimes change is good... i love that they discussed their feelings.. their love is stil their..

and the lingering thoughts of edward were revealed also. now i can understand him a little bit more y he did that... i hiope that they will resolve it and talk more coz they are not yet finish to takle everything that had happened in the past....

It's that time of year again.  Time for the Dark Fest fan fiction fest.  It's not Twilight specific (it's multi-fandom) but the moderators encourage that if you want your fandom represented to spread the word in your fandom so here I am. :)  This isn't a contest.  There are no prizes.  It's just for the fun of it and to challenge yourself as a writer if you so desire or indulge your dark reading desires if you slant that way.  A tiny bit of info (I'll link their page for full details):

Dark Fest is a multifandom fest for fanfiction with dark themes.

Prompt submissions are open until Friday Feb. 3rd which is why I'm posting this.  PLEASE go post some Twilight prompts.  Pretty please?  Right now there's only three.

After prompt submission closes, the mods will put up a masterlist of prompts, and open up a post for prompt claiming on Saturday February 4th and keep it open until Tuesday 14th.

Fics must be at least 500 words long.

All completed stories must be emailed to the mods at dark.fest.mods@gmail.com by Friday March 30th. (PLEASE read the full rules before submitting.)

Once we receive a copy of your finished fic, we’ll email you and assign a posting date.

But we know there are campers here from all over this magnificent earth, and who doesn't love hearing different accents?

So...we want to know how you talk when you're NOT just typing words on a screen!

YOUR MISSION, SHOULD YOU CHOOSE TO ACCEPT IT:

2) Record us two things:

- a passage from your favorite book, or fanfic, or whatever happens to be lying closest to you

- tell us a bit about where you live! A favorite place, what it's like, anything you feel like sharing

3) Once you've fulfilled our requests, feel free to ramble! We want to hear YOU. The beautiful you sitting behind that screen, staring back at me through a series of 1s and 0s. (And if you're feeling extra sweet, say "Simon is a handsome shark" for Halawia.)

Howdy Fellow Campers,

I don't know about you, but very often when I see a picture I think it would fit perfectly with something I just read in a fic.  Even more often, I will hear a song that I think would be perfect on the soundtrack for a fic (if we had those .. oh I wish we had those). Sometimes I'll tumbl a pic or song that I think fits my favorite fic and that is always fun. It really can entice someone to read something new, I hope.

But, I got to thinking. What if I set aside a day on the PicTease where reader's could tease their favorite fics? Don't we love sharing with others what we love? Could be fun. So "Reader Teaser" Saturday was born.

I hope people like this as much as I do. It really can be fun to find pictures to go with fics, whether it's a whole fic, or a specific quote. So, if your interested, I'd love you to submit a teaser here.

Also, I'm not against authors teasing their own stuff. You do read your stories, right? Hehe. I'm sure sometimes, after you've posted your chapter, you may see a pic that you think, "Oh that would have been perfect." But, it's too late. This is a great way to share it anyway.

The teasers can be for old or new stories, but they must still be posted in a public place. I posted more information and an example here.

Edward was a famous author who moved to some isolated area, and he meets Bella, who is abused by her husban, (i think it's mike or james). And he's going to be playing Barnabas Collins the vampire.
