So, last week, I went to go visit my parents for Easter. They live here:

I adore them. I went on my first one when I was six. It was a hundred and sixty feet tall and went upside down seven times. I used to be a dues-paying member of the American Coaster Enthusiasts. Since most of the world-record-holding coasters happen to be IN Ohio, I've been on the tallest, the fastest, the first to use xyz technology, the only ones to do thing q. If I'm on vacation, I'll often make an hour or two detour to go to a coaster park and check out their coasters. 

To me, the weather warming means I should be on a roller coaster. 

So tell me. Do you like them? Do they freak you out? Had any adventures on them? Ridden any super ones lately? (I'm always looking for new recommendations.)

HAPPY Royal Friday Free for all!

I finally upgraded my phone to a smart phone so now I want to be more connected  and start utilizing my Twitter. Yeah I know I am like 5 years too late to the party, though I think I have had an account since 2008  I want to know about things like pics that set the gossip mill on fire before the cease and desist orders come out.   Want to be twitter buddies, friends? Also with the new phone has come the addiction to Words With Friends.  Seriously best nerdy game ever.  I was at a bbq a couple weeks ago and there were 7 of us there sitting and playing each other instead of really talking.  I'm proud to say I have gotten my but kicked by one of my favorite fan fic authors but right now I am pulling ahead in our rematch.  If you want to play with me my handle is the same as twitter.

Just wanted to start this campfire for people to "state" all the nice things ADF has brought into their life.

I mean, my RL friends are in awe (and kind of jealous) when I tell them that I get to know people (and exchange candy with them, wink, wink) in internet.

I learn things that are actually useful in my professional life (developing the means of communication), and I have fun learning.

I get to know really, really nice people, and I get fodder for my fanfiction addiction. I get to ponder differences in cultures (especially when peoplle comment on tv shows, and books and whatever) and I like it all, a lot.

What has ADF meant to you, what are the things you appreciate most?

Hey writers, I'm looking for some advice.  I'm working on my first multi-chapter fic, and my hubs (observant buzzard that he is) has noticed that I've been typing a lot more on my laptop lately.  He got me to confess what I'm working on... and now he wants to read it!  :P  I love him dearly, but I'm not sure if I want him to. 

I know I'll eventually be posting it on the internet for anyone to see, but I haven't told him my screenname.  So... have you let your spouse/partner/significant other read your work?  Are you glad you did?

this story is 1.5 years in the making. Is it nearing completion? Does anyone know??

So, it's Thursday. Tomorrow's Friday and some of you will be heading out for fun times. That got me thinking...

We've all watched RPatz tease us with stories of his Karaoke exploits.

We've heard him talk about late night sessions where he sings nothing but R. Kelly.

But, with the lack of photographic/video evidence, we've been left to imagine the wonderousness that this would be. Just think of it... Rob and his pals spending hours holed up in a bar. Drinking adult beverages, recording each other on their iphones as they sing Culture Club... le sigh. Good times
