I really miss Vampire Diaries. Even though I can't stand the sound of Elena's fake scream, I miss the show.
But I have to admit, it has left me with a number of burning questions, such as:
If Klaus had to kill the doppelganger (or serve up her blood, whichever) to break the curse, why would Katherine turning into a vampire stop him? These vampires still have blood, don't they?
Stefan and Damon live in the boarding house that has been owned for generations by their nephews and great-nephews. If there were only two Salvatore brothers and Stefan killed his father, how were there any Salvatore nephews?
I thought Stefan and Damon signed over their house to Elena so that no vampires could come in uninvited. So how did Rebecca just invite herself right in? Which reminds me...
The rules that apply to most vampires don't seem to apply to the Originals. Sometimes. Vervain used to work on them...does it not work on them anymore? Staking an Original only works when that oak tree is involved. But somehow second generation vampires can just be staked? And vervained? WHY MAKE RULES IF YOU AREN'T GOING TO ABIDE BY THEM?
Bonnie is a Bennett witch. Good. Her grandmother, too. Fine. And that chick who was her second cousin twice removed is a Bennett. Okay. But how are all these women Bennetts? Does no one ever take their father's or husband's last name in that family? (Actually, I like that idea.)
Why is it that every black person with spoken lines in this show is either a witch or a victim or both? Is it some kind of in-show racial profiling? Can't there be some black folks who are like Matt--not victimized, not witchified, just normal people who get to speak up when something's not right?
