As always, I'm behind times and just now watching this show. We are watching on Netflix - 11 episodes into the first season. I love it! Does anyone else watch?

So I hate to randomly show up here again just because I need something, but I don't really know who else to turn to and you guys have always come through in the past so I'm hoping that it still proves true and somebody will have something to say that will talk me off of the ledge I'm currently (metaphorically) standing on.

I've always done brilliantly in school, until now. I'm technically a freshmen in college now and I'm doing horribly. The only things I'm doing well in are First Year Seminar (which is completely worthless to me) and Biology lab. I'm doing decently, but not well, in Chemistry lab. I knew going in that I would be terrible at Calculus II, so right from the beginning I've been focusing almost all of my energy on that, going to tutoring sessions and office hours and trying to figure out what the hell it all means and I still failed the first test, and have another one on Tuesday that I am in no way ready for. Because I've been focusing on calc so much I have a D in Biology (which I rocked in high school) and no clue what I have in Chemistry but I failed the first test (I'm not so worried about that, though, because I didn't answer half of the questions because of reasons that I will not go into because they are ridiculous and will not be happening again.)

I want nothing more than to call my mom and talk to her about this but... I don't know. I guess I just don't want her to think of me as the failure I think of myself. It hurts enough as it is. 

Anyway. The reason all of this even matters is because the only thing I've ever considered doing with my life is medicine, and it's so competetive that even one bad grade could destroy my chances of getting into medical school, and considering I'm a freshmen, it's going to destroy them before they even existed and now my mind is going off in a hundred different tangents but they all meet up again at the point where I feel like I've alredy ruined everything I've been working towards and I might as well give up now and I can't do that but like I said my mind is just going there and I don't have anyone else to talk to, so if any of you have anything to say that could help to calm me down and bring me back off of the ledge, that would be wonderful.

I'm looking for some really epic Harry Potter fanfiction! 

Preferable Ginny/Harry, but Hermione/Harry is good as well.

Post-war, pre-war, during-war, whatever! I'm not being all that picky!

Who's your favorite couple in HP? How did you feel about the movies? I personally feel the movies led you to believe Harry & Hermione would wind up together. I mean, c'mon. At least 50% of scenes in the last 4 movies were Harry/Hermione. And the dance scene in the tent in DH Part 1!?  Ron was almost a secondary character and Ginny had like, 10 lines the whole series. Laaaaaaame. The books are a completely different story, but yeah.

For those of you who may not know, one of our own, Katalina Roseph, has been diagnosed with Stage Four cancer. Her friends in the fandom asked what they could do for her, and she wanted nothing for herself. Instead, she asked that they raise money for Stand Up To Cancer. That's how Stand Up for Katalina was born.

This amazing charity is doing so well. It's been an incredible outpouring of fandom love. We have over 100 authors signed up, including some of the fandom faves, like HunterHunting, TKegl, SoapyMayhem (who made my gorgeous banner), Betti Gefecht, AwesomeSauce76, and many, many more.

I'm moving from my almost ten years old house, and I'm finding really weird things now that I'm packing. How can we get so much crap over the years? 

I found an old tape (not even VHS,  it is a beta!) from my favorite chilhood anime Mazinger Z. And it reminded me of my little crush with the principal character Koji Kabuto. Yep, an anime character.

Now I'm nostalgic.
