due to hurricane sandy, we the rangers have made the decision to donate the $100 prize money to the red cross in the name of ADF.

we want to thank the participants who each wrote a great story- lady gwynedd, halawia, and wckdqueen- for participating. all of your stories were great (all for totally different reasons, too!), and we all enjoyed reading them. 

i know a lot of people will disagree with our decision to do this, and i apologize if this upsets anyone. hopefully, an act of god won't interfere with our next contest!

and if you're still reading this, i hope you've considered donating to one of the many charities that still desperately need things in the aftermath of the storm. you can go to this post here for a list of the few that i found.

The Volturi send out notice that all unmated vampires need to go to camps to pick out human mates that have been kidnapped. It seems unmated vampires are dangerous and will be killed if they refuse to pick a mate. Edward gets his letter, goes and after testing ends up with Bella. Tanya refuses to go and is on the run. Marcus tours where they keep the humans and ends up mating with Angela.

Write-a-thon

Challengers have the option of collecting a group of people (pledgers) to donate to March of Dimes on their behalf depending on how much the challenger writes during the challenge.

For example: Susie pledges to donate 1 cent for every 100 words Bob writes during the challenge. Bob writes 1000 words, so Susie donates $10.

The challenger who collects the most donations based on their entry will receive a $10 Amazon Giftcard.

To participate in the Write-a-thon, fill out a Pledge Form before the day of the challenge.

...announced via Twitter that she was publishing The Submissive, The Dominant, and an as yet unknown third novel. The first will be released mid November.

I think we could all see the writing on the wall, but there is one thing that I find particularly distasteful. She'll be publishing them under the name Tara Sue Me, a move that seems calculated to ensure that old fans know that these are her books and purchase them. The targetting of the Fanfic crowd is just so blatantly obvious that it's just sad.

It's no wonder I very rarely review stories, and only if they are AU.

What do you think about retaining both the names and the handle Tara Sue Me?

I DO NOT want to get in a huge debate with anyone and honestly not sure how many members of ADF are American but I feel so strongly about this I just want to encourage everyone to go VOTE on Tuesday. I don't care what your views are or what your party affiliation is, I just feel so strongly about this right that we have. 

It's more than just the vote for President, it is also important for any local races in your area. 

So mostly because I am curious, what issues are most important to you? 

Remember, no being nasty, everyone has a right to their opinion. 

There are loads out there, but the ones with the three leads together show some entertaining banter and camaraderie.  You've probably seen them already but I felt they at least deserved a campfire.

I'm in my 40's and after being a single mom for a long time I've finally been able to go back to college. I wanted my kids to see that regardless of our circumstances, we still have choices and can do things that seem hard. It's been really scary and difficult being back in school and feeling so different from everyone there, but I'll be graduating in May and I'm really excited!

Jude Law Joins Rob and Naomi Watts in 'Queen of Desert' 

He'll star opposite Naomi Watts and Robert Pattinson in the biopic of Gertrude Bell, described as the female Lawrence of Arabia.

Adding another title to its arsenal, Sierra/Affinity will represent foreign rights to Werner Herzog's historical Gertrude Bell biopic Queen of the Desert.

Judd Law is joining the cast of the film, which headlines Naomi Watts as Bell and Robert Pattinson as T.E. Lawrence, otherwise known as Lawrence of Arabia.

Bell -- like Lawrence -- was an explorer, writer, archeologist and attaché for the British Empire, who is credited with helping to catalyze the formation of the Middle East at the dawn of the 20th century. She's often been referred to as the "female" Lawrence of Arabia.

Principal photography is scheduled to begin in Morocco in March 2013.

Frankly, I can't wait for this film. Among Rob's projects this is the one I am most interested in, even more than Mission Blacklist.

Hey all! I hope everyone made it through Sandy ok.

As for myself, I just got power back last night. Thanks to everyone that wished me well, and a special thanks to my bff Grabadietcoke for posting my story when I couldn't, keeping track of my stats and mentions, and just overall caring and worrying about me and my family.

But now...I've been in a bubble for a week and I know I've missed a ton of good stuff! I saw some bad pic of Rob in a weird outfit? I saw a pic of some stupid halloween masks? But i've missed ALL of the BD stuff that's been going on.
