yesterday, my boyfriend (aka The Boy, soon to be aka Mr. Punk) and I decided to go ahead and be engaged. it was a very romantic discussion over omelets and french toast at a local restaurant that all the "someday" planning i sort of did on pinterest could go ahead and be "official". 

so yay me!

however, i have no idea how to plan a wedding! we will most likely have a pretty small budget and while waiting in line last night for BD my bestie and i made a rough guest list thats around 75-80 people. i have 4 bridesmaids planned (hopefully 5 if iheartthedoc can come from england!) 

i want a purple wedding dress (yes purple) and the only thing to boy demands is that he gets to wear a green vest. 

we're both pretty nontraditional and will not get married in a church. we want a laid back wedding with lots of fun and booze! (lol)

so...help me?  can people give me pointers and tips and DIY ideas? we have a tentative date of September 13th 2014. we're both nerds and i have already compromised on letting him have a Legend of Zelda groom's cake. lol

I just finished reading this book and it is the first book that has truly made me swoon and get all giggly like a school girl since I first read Twilight and fell in love with Edward soooooo long ago.

If you want to escape in to a little romance and a very swoon worthly guy for a little while..then go read this book now!!

It also has a great female lead (for a change) and good lessons about being a strong woman! And the writing was great..flowed so well and made me LOL. :)

I'm sorry but I just have not liked any of her premiere looks. Yes, they are high end labels (Zuhair Murad and Dior) but they just DO NOT SUIT HER BODY. She looks awkward here, and the colour makes her look washed out. And would it kill to actually style your hair?

I didn't think anything could be worse than the Dita Von Teese inspired dress from the LA Premiere. Then I saw this:

I have seriously, never in my life, seen such a hideous outfit. It accentuates that fact that she has the body of a 12 year old boy. Just NO.

Happy Thursday to everyone. So in June I posted about swearing in for the Air Force and all that ( see campfire "tales of terror") I've been in DEP since then, waiting along with everyone else, and I thought today would just be a normal day....until I got a call from my recruiter asking me to come to his office. To cut a long story....

Is when I'm leaving for basic training. 0_0

I'll sign the papers sometime next week, but it's already pretty much in stone. Right now I'm just...well:

because of something terrible that happened to a fellow DEP member. He left in MId- October for Lackland but was sent home last week due to a medical condition MEPs missed and that he had no idea about.  NOw, this was the last person you'd expect this to happen to-the guy was going in as Special Forces, was the most fit, most disciplined and most serious about the Air Force, and then he got this bombshell dropped on him. Nicest guy too, it's just...awful. 

Also, the news he delivered to the rest of us in DEP was somewhat alarming. Apparently, according to him, "the Air Force basic training is moving away from being a super technical specialized branch into a more Marine Corps mentality where you are a rifle man first."

He thinks they're preparing for the worst. I think they think another war is on the horizon.

He agrees. 0_0

But enough of that. The point is, I got great news! So tell me, have YOU gotten great news?

There will be some people who will be unable to see BD2 until the weekend is over. There will also be some campers who will want to remain completely spoiler free. Yes, I was one of them.  Personally, I wanted to remain blissfully unaware. I didn't want to know even the smallest extra scene added, any sort of unexpected moment, the length of a scene or campers reactions to any parts of the film.  I'm sure I wasn't not alone.  I'm also sure there are many who want all the details before they go watch it for themselves.

A few days ago I sent a PM to the rangers requesting a master post for BD2 discussions to avoid spoiler leakage. After I sent the request I realized that it was probably not something they planned to do because it may inhibit some campers who want to be free to express their love and share all the details.

The movie hasn't officially opened and campfires are starting that give hints away on the first page. I'm kind of bummed because unfortunately, I've been a bit spoiled. It's my own fault. Truly, it is. I should have stopped reading but part of me didn't think any details would really be posted on the front page for all to see. :(  LOL - Now the question is, do I try to remain semi-spoiler free or binge out on all the goodies out there? I just don't know.

As much as I'd love it if any and all spoilers -- whether campers consider them big or small -- be posted inside a campfire it's doesn't seem fair to ask. Does it?

I'm just curious... Are you trying to stay completely spoiler free or did you give into temptation? ...

Not as bad as I expected. Hard to differentiate between my general Twilight excitement (still there, you guise) and me actually liking the movie. Where oh where has the magical gothic atmosphere gone? Oh well. At least you get to see Edward in new scenes, and of course the lovely last scene which I'm sure you're all expecting, like I was. Much shorter than I expected though :((((((((  Still, I'll rewatch it tomorrow, 'cause that's the kind of sick Twihard that I apparently still am.

Anyway, I have a question: There was a lovely (highlight to read)<<<< like 20 sec. long Edward/Carlisle dialogue. Not what I was hoping for (sex questions bwahahah), >>>>>but, for me, it was the second best part of the movie. Does anyone remember if it was in the book? I'll write it in the comments in white. Not a huge spoiler or anything. Just nice. (**tiny ranger edit for those avoiding spoilers.  Details in white and within!**)

No, you are not dreaming, and you do not need a new eyeglass prescription.  You also have not eaten any bad food or ingested any hallucinogenic substances.  Breaking Dawn Part 2 is 82% FRESH on Rotten Tomatoes.

Even the top publications, like Variety and Hollywood Reporter, who have traditionally trashed the Twi films, have been remarkably complimentary.  HuffPost called it "Totally Nutso" (they've got that right!) and gave it three out of four stars.

 I was was planning on seeing it anyway, but now I actually feel like celebrating. Vindicated.  Like spending the last five years being madly in love with Twilight wasn't such a shameful thing after all.  Like after all the negative crap that tainted the fun of fandom for the last several months and years, we all finally have a really high note to go out on.

So!  I know some folks were sure BD2 was going to be complete crap (a reasonable assumption) and were planning to skip it, or at least wait for the DVD/BluRay.  Does this news change anyone's plans?
