I see that we have alot of artistic people here in ADF. Being late to Ms.R's cf from yesterday I wanted to touch base with the other crafty beings and get/give some advice/help. Much like the book club we could make it a routine to support each other's indeavors.  Even do some bartering, a fav of mine.

I'm just learning about a business liscense, how to get supplies wholesale with said liscense. And what that means at tax time. Anyone with info on this side of crafts, including etsy/ebay/etc. sites I'd love to know more.

Some of you already know that I make jewelry. I also paint, needlepoint on paper, sew, and can diy around the house(everything from paint, garden, change lighting fixtures & plumbing, and my new job is painting my cement patio floor).

If anything, I do too much and can't stop a project. If I was a writer it would be one that everyone moans she never finishes her wip. Here's a photo of my latest jewelry. Come inside and show me yours.

I used to be one of those girls too. Then I met this guy who was wearing a navy blue trench coat (with a zipped out fur lining) and a pom-pom knitted cap, during a college trip abroad. He was a nice guy, (despite the fact that he wore loafers with tassels and argyle socks) but he was definitely not my type. For starters, he was from Virginia and the only thing I knew about Virginia was Thomas Jefferson, John-Boy Walton, peanuts, and, well, ham. He was a lot of fun though, and he made me laugh. Still, there wasn’t any spark; none at all. Until…

MTI: What the piss trainee?!? Hurry up!!!

ME: (trying to lock wall locker but can’t get the lock through the hole)

MTI: Stop moving slow!!

ME: (Fumbles more with the lock)

MTI: Holy crap M, we’re waiting on you!!!


WEEK 2 OF BMT:

(during drill practice)

MTI: Holy crap M, get in step! Maintain your DCID!

WEEK 3 OF BMT:

MTI: (while checking beds) This hospital corner is disgusting. Who did this bed?

( random trainee raises hand)

MTI: Get on your face.

WEEK 4 OF BMT:

MTI:. This is the frickin 4th week of training and what are you doing? Not listening to student leaders, not getting details done on time…talking during TAPS. This is unacceptable. None of you deserve to be here right now. Ya’ll better get it together. I’m not afraid to recycle this whole flight.

WEEK 5 OF BMT:

TECHNICAL SGT.: Hey you, M. You been studying?

ME: (sitting at the position of attention) Yes sir.

TS: What is the rank insignia of a Master Sgt.?

ME: Sir, trainee M reports as ordered. Sir, the rank insignia of a master sgt…..

TS: Hurry up and don’t hesitate. I don’t have all day.
Me: …is a chevron of 6 stripes, one of which is inverted.

TS: You sure?

Me:… I believe so sir.

TS: None of that “I believe so” crap. It’s either yes or no.

Me: Yes sir.

TS: Outstanding. Carry on. (walks away.)

Me:  0_0

WEEK 6 OF BMT:

Cadre/MTI: ya’ll got 15 minutes to eat your MRE, get all the trash together, and get back in formation. Make it happen.

All of us:

WEEK 7 OF BMT:

(After we get our duty dorm inspection result)

All of us: Yeah, we’re not getting honor grad…

WEEK 8 OF BMT, first half of the week:

Trainee A: If B doesn’t shut up I’m going to knock her a^& out.

Trainee B : if you don’t shut YOUR mouth I’m going to knock YOUR A%* out.

SECOND HALF OF WEEK:

Trainee A: (to trainee B) OMG, I’m going to miss you!!!

 Trainee B: OMG I’m going to miss you too!!!



SO yeah…quite an experience. BEAST (week 6) was awesome, but at the same time a dusty, attitude-riddled hellhole, and today was graduation. We were band flight so we played during Retreat and the ceremony today. I’ll try to post some pics inside once I get the chance.

I feel….different but the same. Does that make sense? I learned a lot about myself, what I’m capable of, but most of all how to be social again (which is a really huge thing for me...the last couple of years have made me shy away from the rest of the world…I know this sounds cheesy, but for the first time in long time, I can honestly say that I’m happy. ?) I’ll try and describe some experiences in the next week.

So tell me, in the last 2 months, what have I missed?

p.s: My replies to you all might be a couple of days late. I won’t get my computer back until sometime next week (my parents brought mine for me and I’m using it now, but I can’t take it back with me on base. They’ll have to mail it to my tech school).

Hey campers! It's me again! Hopefully I won't get into trouble for this campfire-I didn't ask permission. (Naughty naughty, I know lol). It is about Norman Reedus though, and the walking dead, and kinda Rob a little bit.

So I'm not sure if any of you read my previous campfire a while back about the Nashville Tattoo and Horror Festival? It's this weekend and I'm so excited! I'm taking my nephew and we're going to meet this guy:

Yes, Daryl Dixon himself, Norman Reedus!! Also Sean Patrick Flannery, Linda Blair, Lew Temple (Axel from WD) Jake the Snake, Stacy Dixon, a couple of WD zombies and some other people will be there, so it should be fun.

But ya'll, seriously, what does one say to Norman Reedus? I mean mentally I'll be saying dirty things, but In real life I can't embarass myself lol. I need something cool but not groupie-crazy like to say besides "You're awesome and I wanna have your babies."

Have you ever met a celebrity? Were you cool, calm,collected or did you embarass yourself?

Anyone else here happen to be going the festival?

I am quite curious as to how she'll handle the m/m action.  I hope she doesn't fade to black on us.  I loved all the books, but have found some of them to move very slowly and I have to push through to get to the good stuff.  Which is your favorite and least favorite book or character?  I'm a fan of Butch and Zadist.  Least favorite is Zhex.  I'd like to see more of previous players in this book.  I feel like once they have their "own" story, they fade out and we see them in passing.
