Hi guys! I'm so stinkin' excited to say that my book will be released on May 22. It's a YA Apocalyptic entitled KINGDOM COME, and the cover was designed by the Twi-fandom's very own TwistedLea. I'm in love with it.

I'm all into Vikings (for a lot of reasons) and am LOVING this miniseries on The History Channel. If you click on the banner, you will go directly to the website for this show. I love it.

Why? Because I enjoy how they're portraying the early Scandanavians, here.  Strong sense of family, a sense of their culture and so on.  Lissa Bryan and I even do weekly discussions on our different blogs about this show. It's great.

For years I've been making videos for my girls soccer teams.

I always use the microsoft video software that came with my computer but I'd love something with more "pizzazz"

Anyone know any?  Free programs that have flair?  That's worthy of a state champion team's final year together before they breakup and go to high school?

A mother's advice to her daughter
about choosing the right man:
You need a man who has a good job and is a good provider.
You need a man who worships you and treats you like a princess.

Okay, so this is a joke, but seriously, what qualities do you look for in your ideal man? Is he buffed out? Slim? Tattoos? 

Use examples from fan fiction and literature or other media plus pics to illustrate. Also, do women expect too much from men? Or not enough?

I'm here to ask for a huge favor~

A long time friend of mine recently had a cancerous tumor removed from her Pancreas. She had her first chemo treatment on Monday.  Jo is thin as it is, and her doctor wants her to eat and eat well. Only problem is, with chemo, you lose your appetite and retain a metallic taste in your mouth (she's been told to use plastic utensils)

Back when it was on ffn, Dead on My Feet had links to recipes for those undergoing chemo in the Authors Notes. As luck would have it...it's been pulled and I don't have a copy.  So I was wondering if someone would be kind enough to forward a copy of it to me so that I could retrieve the websites for Jo.  I'd be much obliged.

I don't want to start a campfire where everybody insults everybody, so please, keep that in mind. (I'm not forbidding you from saying what you want to say either, I'm just being careful)

That beeing said, I came accross some very interesting information today : 

- For the first time in France, I heard about CNN sympathizing with Stubenville rapist. It was a single article in a online independant magazine. It was the first time I saw it. I didn't read anything about it in a national paper, nor did I heard anything about it in any other media. I find that very disturbing.

- I found an article on Slate.fr : Slate is a very reliable online paper, very independant from politics and publicity. Now for those of you who don't speak french, here's what it's about : Slate has associated with a Twitter account that counts people killed by guns in the USA. They drew an interactive map of those deaths since decembre 2012 (since NewTown). If you click on a town, you'll see how many people were killed by guns in 3 months. 

I find the fact that it's presented that way very interesting.

Please, know that by writing this, my goal is not to engage in a gun-related debate.

This graphic may be offensive to some, but really, it's just here as an example to how information his treated all aroung the world.

What I would like to discuss, however, is how, as an american or an Italian or a Greek or whatever you are, do you think your country is seen abroad?

I'm reformulating because people get the wrong idea : how much does (or not) your medias report what happens in other countries (politics, economy, society, scandals, etc.)?

What do you think about what abroad medias say about your country, yours beliefs, your politics, your scandals, etc?

Are you interested about what happens in other countries?

How do you get information? Internet? TV? Radio? 

As a french student, I read both french papers and English papers, because I think that most french papers (not all of them) are a bit to biased to reflect the reality of things. And I think french papers are really too self-centered. They'd rather have a front page about a little snow when important things happen in Mali, for example.
