Has anyone noticed that Bella and Edward never seem to have any fun together in the books or the movies? Aren't they supposed to be in love? They are so moody and unhappy all the time. Fanfiction has ruined the original relationship for me in the best way possible.

Okay, I think you'll all agree that this fandom has a tendency to twist our dear characters and make big clichés out of them *cough*Alice*cough*Emmett*cough*

But honestly (because I'm biased like that), the one that annoys me the most is Bella. Sometimes I just want to slap the hell out of her and shout at the author (but I don't do it because I'm too nice), and inevitably, fic after fic, I see the same clichés about her over and over again until and my eyes hurt from rolling so much.

So, people, dish out, go ahead: what's your most hated cliché about your favorite Twilight character? And who's your favorite [insert character name here] characterization?

For me, it's a tie between Bella's insecurity (seriously, cut it out people! Okay, she was insecure in the books, but it wasn't to the point where she questionned herself every 5 seconds!) and Alice's overly pushiness/bounciness/too-muchness. Now, I'm not saying a really broken and damaged Bella who has no self-confidence can't be an interesting plot, but it would be a very emotional fic and it would require damn good writing skills. And most authors can't pull it off without making her annoying.

And my favorite Bella is without a doubt Cascade & Cyanide's Bella. I might be biased because it's my favorite fic too, but she's just so... In character but -amazingly- without being annoying and overly insecure. She's even more relatable than in the books. Sweet and cute and caring and just... Bella. Now that's a Bella I want to read about. I just wish there was more of her out there.

Oh, and if you haven't read Cascade and Cyanide, go do that. Now. Seriously. Whoever hasn't read it, I envy you. I wish I could re-read it for the first time.

Capricorn75 is at the theater watching a little flick called 'Remember Me.'  In honor of that flick, and the fact that she told me she has breathed her last because of Rob's beauty, she asked me to say goodbye to all of you lovely campers.  Jenny, I guess that care package you got will be the last thing any of us get from her.   Her last text said, "Let everyone on the forest know that I am officially dead."

I thought this would be an interesting discussion. Rangers, feel free to delete, but it is Twilight related.

There have been many discussion's regarding Twilight and the repetitive characteristics of our beloved Bella and Edward. Some readers don't mind and other's are willing to flounce a fic at the mention of a BRIDGE OF NOSE PINCHING EDWARD or a BLUSHING BELLA because they feel it's been done too many times. Some readers simply pull their hair out with the question, "Do people really do that in real life?"

Here is a lovely picture of Jessica Simpson from her appearance on Oprah last week. She has nothing to do with Twilight, but that lovely shade of blush does. The one thing I find that annoys most people is how much Bella blushes. Some even question as to whether "BODY BLUSHING" really happens. 

Here's the proof. If you look real close you can see the slight rash, which is called a "Nervous Rash" And we all know how nervous our beloved Eddie makes Bella, so you can only imagine.

So, My question to everyone is, "WHAT ARE YOUR REAL LIFE NERVOUS QUIRKS THAT OTHER'S MIGHT THINK ONLY HAPPEN IN FANFICTION? DO YOU FIND THEM BEAUTIFUL OR JUST PLAIN IRRITATING?"

I sort of pestered an author yesterday about writing a particular scenario into her story. Now, I realize I have no right to do this sort of thing, but sometimes we just can't help ourselves.

One has nothing to do with the other. I just wanted to say, first, that RM starts in 40 minutes so I'm getting ready to head out in the middle of this big thunderstorm we're having, in order to support my man. I will be wet in more ways than one. As DeeLovely can attest, I have been not-so-patiently waiting for this for a while!

Secondly, I believe Fanfuction is being fail again. I noticed a story of mine updated and I got a private message, but it didn't send me alerts for either. So you might want to keep an eye on your alert list today.

About 9-10 years ago I was in 7th grade, 11-12 years old, searching the internet for stuff on Sailor Moon. Yes, Sailor Moon.

And then I discovered something called "fanfiction". I don't joke when I say I got most of my sex-ed from fanfic. Yea, I know, shocking to most, but I turned out pretty OK if you ask me (in no way condoning children reading smut, just giving my personal experience)

Back to the point, at the time I thought Sailor Moon fanfic was the King of AU. All the Serena's suddenly became clumsy but strong, independent, and usually pretty smart. Darien became either cold and depressed or cocky...and depressed....Seeing an iteresting comparison yet? No, not saying anything was plagiarized so get that idea out of your head now, just thinking how interesting it is how similar an AU can be whether it be Sailor Moon, or Twilight.

10 years later and I'm thinking up stories for Edward and Bella that seem oddly familiar to me...and then it dawns on me that it's because I already read them with Darien and Serena (or Mamaru and Usagi if you wanna go all proper with me).

I've read fanfiction for PLENTY of other fandoms, but nothing comes as similar to Sailor Moon to Twilight. Probably the epic love and all that jazz.

What was your first fandom? How old were you? Can you find similarities between the fandoms?

Okay I need an excuse to avoid doing work tmrw so looking for a new fic to help with my procrastination .

Hit me with some suggestions,  I'm a canon girl all the way so Ex B fics (completed would be a bonus) 
Also if anyone can recommend something similar to Kidnapped, Blessing and the Curse or I Hate You with an Insurmountable Passion. Love/Hate sort of r'ship that'd be awesome.
