This might be a last minute Free for all Friday campfire, but I'll post it anyways.
Let us share our quirks, the things that might be strange to some people but is a part of what make us... well, us.
Perhaps you need to stir your coffee anti clockwise, or maybe you need to chew your food a certain amount of time. Whatever it is, and as long as you feel comfortable enough to share it, write about it here.
As for my quirks, I am a person who is easily scared, but somehow often finds myself watching horror movies, and as a result I've picked up some quirks that all evolves around me protecting myself from horror creatures.
Not that I believe horror movies, but you know, it's better to be safe than sorry. :P
We can take the scary the grudge kid for example. Ever since I watched that movie I must sleep with my blankets tucked under my feet, just in case that kid would decide to show up at my house.
Then we have Samara from The Ring. There is a scene in that movie where the main character dreams and Samara is sitting in a chair, completly still, and then when the main character comes close enough does something sudden (I've forgotten what it is). After watching that movie I cannot go to bed without making sure that the chair in my room is covered in clothes or something else, cause I don't wanna wake up and find her sitting there.
I always make a sort of a sprint/jump from my bed when I need to get up in the middle of the night, because I don't want someone under the bed to catch me.
Then I've had some non permanent quirks, like after watching The Exorcism of Emily Rose, I spent two weeks not going to bed until the clock had passed 3am, just because she would always wake up at 3am and the hautnings would start. I figured that if I was already awake, then I would be safe :P
Yes, horror movies has left me permanently damaged, lol.
As a more "normal" quirk, I always read the newspaper from the back to the front. I have no idea why I do this, it's just something that has to be done that way.
