Remember way back when everyone was consently picking on Rob for his make-up in Twilight??

I have to ask...why do they insist on painting his lips? Do they become softer for when he goes into his big kiss? Or is it meant to keep him dry incase he spits or something?

Anyway...I also have to ask...what can a guy wear for chapped lips? What do your boyfriends/hubby/dad/uncles, and so on, use? Anything? Nothing?  Hubby won't use any of my stuff, which is great since all I can picture is Rob in the first film and then every body at work would pick on him [my hubby].

I can understand his indignation.  

I don't think he realises that his fans assume the love scenes will be clipped and cut to a PG-13 level, and the chance to see any R-level romance is only possible through these ill-gotten photos.  

Does anyone know why KryssyBee pulled her stories?  Or How I can contact her? Or have a copy of Can't help loving you? Thanks

I have been privately told that two of my stories: “The Parachutist” and “Eros and Psyche” have been nominated for the Faithful Shipper Awards. Very excited I too nominated somebody else ‘story for it. Only, the site looks totally dead, there is not a list of nominees, albeit nominations closed on March 24th and the voting should happen between the 8th and the 18th of April. In this way nobody can look at the stories. This is very disconcerting. I wonder what is happening there. Does anybody know?

So instead of making two campfires and taking up precious space, I have a two part campfire.

1) I'm reading the first book in the Hunger Games series, and I'm hooked! I love this book so hard right now, it's def going to be on my favorites list for sure! Does anyone else love it as hard as me? I can't wait to see what happens in the next two! And I'm excited b/c I hear there is a movie in the works?

2). I've been hearing this Katy Perry song on the radio. At first I didn't like it, but it's grown on me and now it's stuck in my head. It reminds me of 'The Host' by S.M. Seriously, ignore the Kanye parts and it would be a great soundtrack to a Host trailer. I love that book more than Twilight, I swear. Here's the video:

Is anyone else having trouble uploading new chapters with the document manager. Every time I hit submit document nothing happens. Is it just me?

pla·gia·rism  [pley-juh-riz-uhm] –noun:  the unauthorized use or close imitation of the language and thoughts of another author and the representation of them as one's own original work.

So, being an author of any kind, you are vulnerable to being a victim of plagiarism. I've recently come across people discussing how this happens in the ff world more often than any other place. I'm not even a "popular" author and am aware of THREE acts of plagiarism using my work. I can't imagine what the more well known authors deal with.

Come inside to discuss the following:

1. Someone downloaded my fic and reposted on another site without my knowledge. Though it did state that it was written by me, I had no idea that it was there. Is this plagiarism? Just rude? Or should I be flattered?

2. Another person copied my story Bounty, did not even bother to change the name, but did change the names of the characters and reposted it as a Glee ff. I was informed by a reader who recognized the story and the pseudo author eventually took it down. Should these people be banned from ff.net? Is that even possible?

3. Some argue that ff is BARELY an original form of art, since we are using someone else's characters and ideas, and therefore is its own form of plagiarism and could not be plagiarized itself.

So, tonight (well, for me it was tonight, it was actually this afternoon PST) Twi Network hosted the Iron Pen Challenge, Japan Edition.

I decided to participate and am excited to find out the results in two weeks.

I don't want to start WWIII here or anything.  I'm just trying to find out if there is a way to copy a chapter or a fic from a story that is posted here on ADF.  I'm going on vacation this week and just want to download some pdf files to my ipad to read in the car.  Any help would be appreciated.

(for those who don't remember, Sebastian Robichaud wrote The University of Edward Masen.

so i noticed a funny thing: the senders address said "Sylvain Reynard <ninapolitan @ gmail . com"

....um, is Sylvain Reynard/Sebastian Robichaud/UoEM's author ninapolitan?

i mean no harm, no disrespect to anyone, and i seriously hope i didn't blow up some secret. not here to cause drama at all about UoEM or its author. i'm just wondering if everyone already knew this and i'm late to the party.
