I was finding a story 'Love comes after wedding' by Techie.freq, which was pulled down. I decided to ask the writer and she was nice enough to send me the copy. Her answer about pulling down it made me sad. I mean some people are really that cruel that they tell on the face of the writer that they'll still her plot and she can't do anything, coz she doesnt own anything? Really?  I mean I know that she is not an expert author even she says it by herself. But even then it doesnt give you a right to steal her story. 

So have you ever come across anything like this in the fandom?

I'm going to be starting a new fic and I'm in need of some good music - bluegrass, specifically. My Bella's gonna be a banjo player! But then I realized, I don't have a heck of a lot of bluegrass music to go off of. Anyone have any favorites or know of any fics like this?

CyraBear, author of For Whom the Bells Tolls and other fics, has passed away, per her sister's note on twitter:

• I am CyraBear's sister. For those that don't know CyraBear in real life, she passed away March 18th after a heroic battle with cancer.

She also left a note in her tumblr last month, when she was struggling.  My thanks @AlbyMangroves for tweeting the link to that.

She will be missed.

First of all I apologise if this has already been discussed in the forest but I have so far avoided most the Hunger Games campfires because I haven't been able to see the movie yet. 

I was just surfing the net and reading about how succesful the Hunger Games opening weekend was when I came across a story about some "fan" reactions to Rue being cast as a black girl. Rue is described in the book as having dark brown skin (as is Thresh also from District 11) so her casting is certainly one of the most appropriate ones yet some people have had an ugly reaction to this. One tweeter actually said "call me racist but when I found out rue was black her death wasn't as sad to me." I am actually so disgusted by this type of reaction that I feel slightly incoherent right now. As a half black woman married to a white man I have had my fair share of racism and to tell you the truth I am not surprised that some people are this ignorant. But boy it really does make me sad. I keep thinking about 13 year old Amandla Stenberg who doesn't deserve to have her first big success in an acting role to be tainted by these dumb racist fools who haven't even read the book properly.

What does anyone else think about this?

So I'm at my friend's house taking care of her after her surgery and guess what?

Her little brother has the flu. He's not keeping anything down and, as far as I know, the hospital can't do anything for him. Any ideas as to how I can get him to keep food down? He's miserable.

My beloved cat is no more. She had a tumor and we called a vet to help her sleep before she started to suffer. The signs were there. All in all, she had twenty happy years with us.
