I am so sad right now.

Adam Yauch, one-third of the pioneering hip-hop group the Beastie Boys, has died at the age of 48, Rolling Stone has learned. Yauch, also known as MCA, had been in treatment for cancer since 2009. The rapper was diagnosed in 2009 after discovering a tumor in his salivary gland.

Yauch sat out the Beastie Boys' induction to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in April, and his treatments delayed the release of the group's most recent album, Hot Sauce Committee, Pt. 2. The Beastie Boys had not performed live since the summer of 2009, and Yauch's illness prevented the group from appearing in music videos for Hot Sauce Committee, Pt. 2.

Yauch co-founded the Beastie Boys with Mike "Mike D" Diamond and Adam "Ad-Rock" Horowitz in 1979. The band started off as a hardcore punk group, but soon began experimenting with hip-hop. The band broke big with their first proper album, Licensed to Ill, in 1986, and further albums Paul's Boutique, Check Your Head and Ill Communication cemented the band as a true superstar act.

In addition to his career with the Beastie Boys, Yauch was heavily involved in the movement to free Tibet and co-organized the Tibetan Freedom Concerts of the late Nineties. In 2002, he launched the film production company Oscilloscope Laboratories.

I have two young kids.  They're 5 and 2.  And they make me laugh like nothing else.  They say the best things sometimes and it's hard not to laugh when they are so serious.  

I ran across this letter on the internet this morning and I couldn't help but bust up laughing.  It is THE best running away letter ever!

Okay I've got a get together possibility that should rock your socks off. Atlanta. September 21st and 22nd(plenty of time to prepare). Midtown Festival! FooFighters. PearlJam. Florence and the Machine. Ludacris. Joan Jett. CivilTwilight. etc. I'm coming in from Charleston so tighten up your wigs cuz it's PAR-TAY TIME! I've got reservations at a hotel about six blocks from the park so, yeah, I'll be in the music zone. To make this interactive I want to hear from the talkers who say, "Let's get together." and turn them into the doers who say, " I'm there, girl. Let's meet up." And for those who aren't in the area tell me your concert stories. I want to hear if Sugar Britches saw Kristen Stewart at Coachella. Or OuterIsland's trip to Sasquatch! 2012. Kings of Leon Rocker Jared Followill is Getting Married!

Jared Followill, bass guitarist for the famous rock band Kings of Leon, proposed to his model girlfriend, Martha Patterson, back in April - and the word is finally getting out. Interestingly enough, before Martha, Jared dated Twilight star Ashley Greene; and before Jared, Martha dated pop star Joe Jonas who had also previously dated Ashley Greene. So just a tiny love square occurring between the four of them that makes for a fun fact.

Another somewhat surprising fact? Jared Followill and Martha Patterson started dating in January - so their engagement comes roughly three months after they made their relationship official. Jared proposed on April 11th with a custom designed, 4-carat ring, which Martha reportedly showed off at Coachella. Despite Coachella being 3 weeks ago, reports are barely coming out about their engagement which is awfully surprising as Hollywood is usually on top of things. Regardless of the almost month-long lag, the couple appears as happy as ever, and everyone should wish them a healthy, lengthy marriage - something else that is not very common in Hollywood. But good for both the rocker and his model fiancé, both seem to like staying out of the limelight, so that should help.

I looked at my list this morning and "Skin" has disappeared - I is sad.

This is now a Kings of Leon lovefest!!! ENJOY!

So I recently went to dinner with one of my close friend and we started talking about books that we are reading and are on our to read list. Apparently she is reading the unmentionable book that many, including myself, loathe. She loves it and thinks its a step up from the trashy romance books she buys at the grocery store.

I tried to keep myself calm and explain to her that its not really well written story with a solid plot...blah..blah...this led to my coming out of the Twi-Fic closet. Nobody in my real life knows about my reading of fanfiction. Its crazy but yeah...

Long story short, she loves the unmetionable book mainly because of the ~erotica. I told her there was so many other stories that are well written with better erotica. She asked for suggestions but I only had 2 stories because I mostly read angst not smutty FF.

So question is: What are your favorite well written smutty stories that you would recommend to my friend? They can be both books or fanfiction.

Alright, so I have just officially ended my freshman year of college. For the past month, I have been diving into the books doing final projects and studying for finals. So what stories am I missing out on? I feel like there are so many WIPs or just amazing stories I may of missed because of college finals taking over my life and making me hate the world. 

I just started Dusty today, that is so good! I saw it rec'ed on here a few times and gave it a go while waiting to come home.

My rec is Tips For Better Living  by adorablecullens —> Edward is a self-centered college drop-out, waiting on tables and living an empty life. Redemeption arrives in the guise of a quirky customer who offers him some much-needed advice for happiness. Does Edward have the character to rise to the challenge?
