I know it's not really a recent fic - and I could be the last one to a well-known fic classic, of course - but I'd never read it before... and can't get over how much fun it was. An excerpt from the review I just left there:

'What a funny, quirky, clever and completely charming & disarming story. You avoided every pitfall that can (too often) come with those adjectives, and managed to make this Bella one of the most endearing ones I've ever read. The plot is just right, the twists are where they need to be, the conflicts don't work themselves out too neatly or too quickly; everything really is exactly right without being too preposterous or precious.

What's not right is the criminally low number of reviews for this sucker. ?????? I came here from a rec made on ADF today; I'll go back and see if I can drum up some more business for this gem. You deserve all the faves, reviews, follows & fans that you can get!'

Your thoughts?

I followed Master of the Universe when it was a fanfic (skipping the lemons...sue me :-) ) and I enjoyed The University of Edward Masen immensely, but I haven't read Wallbanger or The Office (aka Beautiful Bastard) -- I couldn't find these stories appealing.

Okay so I am drunjk. I wanted to start a campfire about why everyone got in to Twillight to begin with. For example, How obsessed did you get with the series? Did you get so obsessed that you carried the books around wherever you went, just as an example? Or did you dive in to fanfiction right away?

Talk to me, I've had about 4 glasses of Jameson and 7up and I wanna know. AND BY THE WAY, I LOVE YOU ALL.

... when you realize that the awesome new series you've just picked up needs an additional year before the next book comes out.

have you read the Lunar Chronicles? if not, you seriously should:

very good reads, and the blend of fairytales and sci-fi is pretty refreshing. sad thing is, the next book won't come out until sometimes next year. so now i have to stew in my anticipation for a very long time.
