Have you ever met your favorite band/musician?  Did you act like a spaz or play it cool?  I have the chance to meet my favorite band 30 Seconds to Mars and I'm so excited I could pee my pants and I might if I get to meet jared Leto who you may remember as Jordan Catalano!  I'm sure I'll say something awesome like "I carried a watermelon..."

Those who have been around since last year know I'm a big Westlife fan who followed the band around England.  I follow the guys on Twitter and one of them, Nicky, is looking for a "Pirate Pup" that his kids had.  He lost it or something awhile back, and is in the doghouse.  Any of you from the UK or Ireland have one for him?  He says "reward" for anyone willing to get him one lol.  Pic below of what he is looking for:

I have no idea if these two discoveries today (new to me, at least) are cosmically related or just serendipitous in some way that I don't yet grasp, but - since it's FFA Friday time - I definitely wanted to get caught trying to pass this note, and will gladly share the following with the rest of the class:

This Bon Iver cover of I Can't Make You Love Me/Nick of Time is one of the best and most beautiful interpretations - by one artist of another - that I have ever heard.

And this description of Bella & Edward making love for the first time (or anyone making love for the first time) - in Secret Sex by erinbatt - is the sexiest, sweetest, most awkward, charming and perfectly-written description of young friends-to-lovers that I have yet found.

So yeah... it's been 7 months since my wedding, and my husband and I have finally reached the financial stability necessary to book a honeymoon. WE'RE GOING TO LONDON! I've always wanted to go to Europe! Not only is this my honeymoon, this is a dream come true. We're going in July (14th - 21st), and I am literally counting the days til then. If we have some campers here who live in England, I would love some pointers on how to get around. 

I don't want to come off as rude, so what are things that I absolutely HAVE to know? 
Etiquette rules on tipping, hailing a cab, ect. What are some great restaurants that aren't extremely expensive. Is The London Eye really worth it? Great pubs? Ect. What the heck is smart casual?

We're staying at the Doubletree Westminster on John Islip. 

To those who have flown from the US before, what is it like flying over the Atlantic? I've had friends tell me that it's scary (lots of turbulence), while others said it's not that bad.

To say it's horrible and heartbreaking would be an understatemnet..I'm terribly upset , I couldn't sleep that night when I saw the videos. and yes that's my home country . I can't believe the things I'm watching on TV...This is just terrible so terrible.This happened on Wednesday still there are people alive buried under the concrete. Say a little prayer for those souls please. They have found 306 deadbodies so far..

As I look forward to moving once again (if someone finally stops running around knocking pears off the trees with his dick and makes a freaking decision on this promotion), I realize that all the things I used to collect are now gone. Somewhere along the way they got sold or given away because I needed either the money or the space. I can't even say I collect books anymore--I finally got tired of hauling them around and went almost completely digital.

I want to see your collections. Hummels? Action figures? Matchbooks? Bottles? Shot glasses, stamps, golf balls, salt 'n' pepper shakers, whatever. Tell me also if there's one piece in the collection that you prize above all the others, or if there's a Holy Grail you still haven't found.

Feel free to use this CF for any parenting questions you have. My question is about my oldest son going to college in August. He's going to a University that's known for it's partying ways. Although my son is very social he doesn't drink & he hates drug use. He's turned down going places because of drinking. My concern is that he's going to at some point try drinking & not have the support system available to watch his back. I'm I just too protective? Nervous? Being a helicopter parent? It's been ages since I was in that situation & the college girls of today scare the shit out of me.

This is what I'm afraid of, along with unprotected sex.

I have been stuck at home for the last few days due to a minor surgery and have to stay in during the weekend too. I have been out of fanfic loop for the last 1 year due to work pressure. My recent idle time got me to read The Cullen Legacy and like most people here I love it. I started reading twilight fanfic since 2009 so I  guess I am past the stage of 'omg Edward and Bella are having sex' stage! These days unless its a good plot and some awesome writing I lose patience with it. So please help me pass my time this weekend by reccing some fic similar too The Cullen Legacy. I don't mean similar in plot rather same mature writing with some angst and of course HEA. And yes it has to be complete please! I am already left hot and bothered with anticiptation of the upcoming TCL chapters *sigh

What kind of plans do you have this weekend? Anything fun? I'm having my new living room furniture delivered today (six weeks after I ordered it, thanks Ashley Furniture) and going out for drinks and grub tomorrow night with amigos.

I'm also watching music videos on youtube when I should clearly be doing work. Fridays are my work-from-home day, or as I like to call them- Sleep in late and then pretend you had modem/router/tech-y type problems and couldn't log in until late morning day.
