so, i'm home sick today.  the good news is that the strep culture was negative.  the bad news is that i might have mono.  i suppose that's a job hazard that goes with working in a high school, right?

so, while i'm sitting around waiting on some of my fav fics to update, i wondered if anyone could recommend some absolute have to reads while i'm sitting in bed.  i think i might want completed fics, or at least fics that update regularly.

any suggestions? 

Good Morning (or afternoon or evening)

I have a question for you all.  There are several stories that I follow that have not updated in sometime. One storie in particular, the author seems to have flounced as I am now getting emails about her writing for another fandom. I want to pm her or review her and ask her if she plans to continue the story.  As an author, how do you feel being asked that about your stories?  I always felt it was rude and bothersome so I never did. Readers: do you pm authors about their stories, updates etc?

'Bones' star David Boreanaz is joining the Tiger Woods' club of infidelity. (Other members include Jesse James and Tiki Barber.)

Boreanaz admits to PEOPLE that he was unfaithful to his wife of 9 years, Jaime Bergman. "Our marriage has been tainted with my infidelities. I just want to be open and honest. I was irresponsible," he revealed.

The actor is coming forward because his former mistress threatened him. "I was associated with a woman who I was involved with and had a relationship with. She asked for money. I felt as though I was being blackmailed or there was some sort of extortion."

He says now he's focusing on Bergman. "We're working on our marriage. We're working on repairing what has been damaged so badly."

 The Author of the Outlander Series, Diana Gabaldon recently made a blog post about her thoughts on FanFiction.

It's not very positive. Which is fine, she's an author, she has EVERY right not to allow Fic. 

However...i don't agree with some of her points. 

But she also mentioned the Support Stacie Auction...

I find out lots of interesting things on Twitter--wacky facts, sex facts, what everyone's up to in their day. And @TwiFans twitted something particularly interesting a little while ago:

There's a new book out called Twilight and History. It explores the history that has influenced some of the characters & how Quiluete legends, fairy tales, & Edward's history affected the love triangle. It's kinda interesting.

What does everyone think of this--is it taking Twilight too seriously (I don't think so, but everyone's entitled to their own opinion)? Could it shed a light additional light on the characters? I'm curious of how others view this book Personally, I'm fighting against the desire to buy it until I can afford it.

So I was watching the replacements last night and I heard a song I haven't heard in a while

I heard it its first verse and my mind instantly went to Edward and the fact he used to watch Bella sleeping. some of the lyrics actually could go along nicely to when he left in NM
