So, it's a nasty, rainy mess here in the Bluegrass State today.  I'm gonna stay in my pj's and read fanfic.  Hit me up with some rec's for some lesser known fics.  Pretty please?  You, know, ones that have less than 500 reviews.

I just bought my ticket to the Twilight convention here in Vancouver and I'm quite excited.  I was just wondering if anyone else has been to a Twicon.  What should I expect?

By the way, this con is organized by Creation Entertainment.  I'm thinking if all goes well I'm going to attend their Supernatural convention as well.

All of our usuals are in college and Rose has a one night stand with Emmett who she hardly knows...she's affraid to tell him that she's pregnant so Bella goes over to the house that he shares with Edward and Jasper and gives him hell.  Jasper is a weird cowboy wannabe and Edward is an artist who smokes entirely too much pot.  Throw in Edward painting a fake baby and some sex.

Hey campers! I found this earlier, and I don't know if it's already been posted, but I thought it was really interesting and she pretty much hit the nail on the head.

So what do you guys think, is Twilight anti-feminist?

So like Greeen Goldfish said in an earlier post, tomorrow is Derby Day. Here in Louisville, the two weeks leading up to the Derby are ONE BIG PARTY. Tonight the kids and I went down to the waterfront for the Chow Wagon and Festaville, which consists of fair food, vendors, and rides. I love fair food. I hate that I only get it once or twice a year. So in order to tide myself over til the next time I eat some, which won't be until August, here's a list of what I had in the span of 4 hours tonight:

• Ribeye sandwich
• Chili fries
• Orange shake-up (a mix of fresh squeezed oranges, sugar, water, and ice)
• Half a funnel cake
• Pork chop sandwich
• Ice cream cone
• Dr Pepper

I know. It's embarrassing. I will live at the gym next week to pay for it, trust me. I'll try to justify it by stating that I did not have any lunch today, so I was really hungry.

What did you eat today? Please tell me I'm not the only one who ate their weight in food!

So like, it's Friday Night and I'm totally bored.  I was supposed to go out with my friend Lauren.  She knows these college kids in Port Angeles who are having a party later tonight, but she mouthed off to her mother this afternoon and she got grounded.  And it totally sucks for me, because it was already too late to make plans with anyone else....so I'm stuck here at home with nothing to do.

I thought I'd come see what you ladies are doing here in the forest.  I mean, like most of you are all old and stuff, but you're still pretty cool.

I just wanted to say a huge thanks for the happy thoughts and prayers before my surgery.

The last few days I've gotten several anonymous reviews, some good, some bad.  All of them have made me anxious to respond but clearly that is not an option.  So how do you guys feel about anon reviews?  I'm thinking of turning the option off because it's starting to make me ragey.

It's been forever. Because I have taken in my 13 year old niece suddenly I have no time for anything else :( This two minute break is a rarity.

I'm coming to you for advice. Already there is a girl at school who wants to fight with her over a boy who looks like Moto-Moto. I just don't understand. I have told her to keep away from them both like the plague, and hold herself accountable for any part she plays in the situation, but things continue to escalate.

My question is this: If your child were bullied and it got physical, would you tell them to hit back or walk away? Does walking away ever work? In the eyes of most school officials, whether you were defending yourself or not, hitting is wrong. I do not condone violence, but I am so foggy on the idea of self-defense for teenagers.

I know a lot of you have kids, so what do you think? Let her handle it? Get the school involved? Get parents involved? My brain is spinning.

I need anything I can get.
