Gripes and suggestions.

Here's the deal with ADF:  It is user generated.  Rangers do not want to police this site.  We want it to be whatever you want it to be.  If you want this to be your place to love on Nikki Reed, it is.  If you want this to be your place to discuss Catherine Hardwicke's antics, it is.  I can't stress this enough:  ADF will be whatever Twilight site you want it to be if you post. 

Quite simply, it will be what you make it.  And each of you have the power to make this pretty much exactly what you want it to be.

Please, use this thread to make suggestions or point out things you think could be improved, or any general complaint about ADF.

We are learning about this whole thing, too, and we just have no way of knowing what things are rubbing people the wrong way if no one says anything--and we want to know.  We want everyone to feel comfortable and welcome, and we can't do that if we're not aware of issues.

Please, speak up so we can work on making ADF awesome-er.

This is my first campfire, so bear with me.

I live in the Netherlands, but am taking a vacation to the US in 2 weeks. Planned it so I'll be in LA when Eclipse premieres.

So now I was wondering... are there any campers who'll be in town that week? Maybe we can work something out, meet up, make sure we're noticed at the red carpet so we can get up close and personal to the cast...

Why? peeps may ask - well, because despite my serious enjoyment of all that has to do with South Korea, I'm in a funk over not being back in the US to see a midnight showing of Eclipse with my friends.

Yes, that's right, I'm going to have to miss a week or so of ADF, Twitter and just about everything else I do on the interwebz  just so I dont stumble across any spoilers (not to mention me missing out on a good old drunken GNO and squealing like a pre-teen at hours when you'd usually find me tucked up and fast asleep)

Yes, I can hear some of you tsking away at me - I do indeed need to count my blessings, but despite me contemplating all the good things in my life I just can't get past this funk over my outside of CONUS status for June 30th....so, please, cheer me up over this...pictures, Twilight funnies, in fact anything Twilight related..oh, and catch me up on all the fandom gossip because I've been away from my computer for the past 5 days.

 Discovered this read tonight and quickly devoured it.  I'm loving it.  The writing is smart and witty.  Edward is charming and Bella can hold her own.  And you can tell the writer puts a lot of thought and research into the story.  And super sweet.  I've already received a reply to my chapter review!

I just watched Zombieland for the second time and I am in the mood for some apocalypse fics.  They don't have to be about zombies, just about the end of the world.  There was actually one I remembered favoriting a while back, but I can't seem to find it now.  All I remember is that in the summary it said that Bella and Edward were the last people on Earth?  Anyway, if you know which one I'm talking about or have any other recommendations, I'd really appreciate them. =)

So Jandco and I were just chatting about this random FB update from someone who tried to take Robert's picture last night. We think that an angry Robert is kind of hot and much more interesting than "Oprah Rob."

 What´s the best oneshot ya´ll have ever read?

I find really annoying when I review and the author doesn't even reply to my review, not even a 'thank you'. Some even say they don't have the time because they are writing... I think that is  bad excuse. And even that 'thank you', really? That's what you have to say?

I review, because I know how much a review means, I review a story and the author is amazing, she replies to every review and even mentions some reviewers in her A/N. That is being grateful.

For me this is when authors are too lazy and to reply and sometimes I feel like they don't reply because they have +1000 reviews, so they don't care.

This is completely random, and I can't believe I never really thought to look for this before, but does anyone have any Austen/Twilight crossover fics they'd recommend?  Or do they all suck?  Or, is it like, sacrilege?

The Austen fandom is not one I ever got involved in.......why not?

It's a New Moon AU with a complex real Bella who has more problems in her life than a gaping hole in her chest - debts, a job she dislikes, engaged to a wolf she only loves like a brother. And it has a Jacob who is in turns adorable, irresponsible, agressive, loving, tries far too hard...

An Edward who really is truly sorry for the right reasons - he should never have made Bella's decisions for her and he knows it.

An Alice who can't just 'fix' everything with a shopping spree and knows it and acts thoughtfully and is sad and reflective over all that has happened more than the little pixie we all know and find let's face it rather irritating.

More than this it is written by an English 15 year old. You will not believe the standard this girl has achieved so early on.

((On her  FFnet profile it states she's 16 but she got told off for posting an M rated story so quickly had to have a birthday! ))

Please go and read it  and review it - an author this good so young needs encouragement and she's got a measley 350 ish reviews for over 150,000 words.

And the M rating? It's not really warranted in my opinion so no need to worry about encouraging the corruption of minors. We British are more earthy at a younger age anyway LOL
