Heartfail.

I know there is talk about it as a reader. But I want to talk about it as a writer. As a writer have you ever reached that point? Where it LITERALLY messes you up. Where you're balling so much while you're writing that you just have to take a break? Or you're writing something and the whole while you're thinking "I can't do this?"

I'll share an experience, I don't know if it's just me, it might be because I'm crazy like that, but I was once SO involved in a story (original fic)--in my character's mind set--I was writing and the heartfail was NONSTOP for a while and I just COULDN'T take it but each time I broke it up it hurt too much so I plowed through and decided to get it all out in a single swoop. Then when I was done I got sick. MASSIVELY sick for about a week. Fever, nausea, sore throat, the whole nine. Has anything like this EVER happened to anyone else? OMG and if something like this hasn't please don't make me feel like an idiot about it.

What do you do to cope with this? How do you write your heartfail? What works? What doesn't? Do you talk to people about this? What's been your worst experience?

Let's talk about it because I'm having a crisis this AM.

there has been a lot of talk lately about good stories where the primary characters are not Exb.  Purely Secondary or Non Canon - doesn't matter, just so long as ExB are not the primary characters (they can be in it though).

So - I am going to try and make a Master list.  Here's the rules:

I'm tired.  And over-worked, under-paid.  I have insomnia.  I have dishes in the sink and a basket of laundry to fold.  A thunderstorm destroyed the umbrella to my patio set tonight.  I have to be awake in 5 hours.

All this means that I'm probably a little cynical at the moment.

While it would be fun to play find the differences I'll just tell you. Ashley Greene is clearly missing from the video which makes me assume she was just photoshopped into the picture. Now if they are doing a Eclipse girls special shouldn't they have included Kristen? Why do you think that Kristen wasn't added to the photo too??? Do you think it was Kristen who opted out??

Has anyone else ever received a review and/or a message from Ducky'sgirl4ever? I got a review from her that was short but not really odd, and then she favorited/alerted me on everything - favorite author, author alert, favorite story, story alert...

Then she sent me a message which just seemed like she was REALLY liking this story, which I returned politely - and just now she replied to that reply, asking what I do in my spare time, where I live...and ended it with "write me soon."

I checked out her profile and she literally has tens of thousands of favorite stories and authors! I don't know if I'm just easily weirded out or if there is something strange going on - but I figured if anyone was going to know, it would be the people at ADF.

 I'm going to start this a little early and pin it due to all of the requests. Let's see how this works out for everyone!

OK, So I have a bee in my bonnet and I want to give everyone a chance to weigh in.

Over the past few days we have been gabbing quite a bit about KStew and RPatts and their reactions to fame...or more appropriately, their reactions to being stalked by the paps.

Some people feel that "they knew the job was dangerous when they took it," so they should just take it. Others, like me, may not agree.

So here's my thing:

What is the difference between a celebrity and a performer/artist? And are there different standards for each group?
