Help out a campfire-starting virgin?

I'm tiring of fanfic...which might be good for my career, but makes me a wee bit sad.  Rec me something to restart the fire, por favor.  I prefer smart fics about smart people.  Clean writing is a must, and I can only read ExB or slash.  Updates that come less than 1x/month drive me nuts. Also, you should assume that I've read the big name fics already.  Because, sadly, I think I've tried them all.

I love roleplaying but its nearly impossible to find any sites that are 1. interesting and 2. gives you a lot of control. So I was thinking of starting my own site and i was wondering if any one was interested.

Does anyone else think that Rob sniffs excessively, and wipes his nose a lot during interviews? 

Maybe it's just me, but I have noticed that he touches his nose, or sniffs A LOT during interviews - consistently, not just a one time thing that might indicate a cold or something. 

Maybe its allergies, but it could also be drug use, right?  Anybody else notice this?  Any theories, thoughts?

Yes, it's once again time to play "Name That Fic!". It's a story about hwo Bella loved Jasper, and Jasper marries Alice in the begining. Edward's at the wedding, and they meet, and then Bella moves and doesn't tell anybody like that or something. Jasper and Alice get divorced, Jasper gets with Tanya, and Edward goes to ask Bella's dad for permission to marry her. Does anyone know this story?

so, i was squealing about what an epic update week this had been.  the cannabean betrothal in my box this morning made me gleeful and of course, the resurrection of piano lessons was the highlight of my year.

so it got me to thinking.......there are some stories that i would do just about anything to have an update for.

So I've been waiting on a campfire to pop up. It's not happening. So I might as well distract myself and read.

But, alas, I don't want to read angst. Too early for that shit. And anyhow, I don't keep a to-read list because...well, I'm a bit lazy. So gimmie some fic recs!

I have been lurking in these here woods for a while now, and thought I'd be brave and pop my fire-starting cherry.

I'm in a bit of a reading lull at the mo, and wanted to know if anyone had any hidden gems out there?  Not the fics that everyone is reading, but fics that have low recognition and you think 'why the jeepers isn't everyone talking about this.'  The undiscovered jewels of the fandom.

WIP's are good--in fact I love a good old chappy alert rush with my coffee in the morning :0)

Has anyone read the bree book? (you don't have to buy it. its free at breetanner.com) anyway i'm reading it just for my favorite character, victoria but after 88 pages she's barely in it. i was wondering if anyone knew if she was going to make another appearance or if this is just a waste of time?

Also, what spin-off should SM do next? i say either an Alice/Jasper book or Victoria/James. What do you think?

Rob talks football with Access Hollywood

Although he’s not on Twitter, “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” star Robert Pattinson told Access Hollywood’s Shaun Robinson on Saturday he too was sucked into the international sporting event.

“I have to ask you, how are you doing this junket when England is playing USA?” Shaun asked Robert on Saturday as he promoted his upcoming film while the historic match up was taking place.

“Especially when they are drawing,” Robert chimed in, referring to the score at the time, which was 1-1.

“And if at the end, if the end comes and they’ve won then that’s the end of the junket,” a worried Robert said over a possible U.S. victory, although the game eventually ended a short while later in a draw.

“Are you a big fan?” Shaun asked Robert regarding soccer.

“Yeah. Is it the end of the match yet?” Robert asked, looking around at the crew. “Have they already lost? I would be so depressed!”

While I am not fond of reporters manhandling Mr pattinson, he is too cute in this not to share! Thoughts on his press conference today? He always seems to mention how different Eclipse and this Edward is than the other 2. And do we really believe he hasn't read Breaking Dawn?
