Hey there Campers,
The Rangers (and by that I mean mostly just JOHN) have been hard at work pruning the trees and trimming the shrubberies and generally making improvements around the Forest!
Get ready to experience a new and improved woody wonderland!

Did you know that "biting the bullet" came because back in the day if you did your head would get blown off?  Food for thought.

Anyway, so I've had some traffic on my fics, which I love, and I really don't care if someone reads them, okay that's a lie, but lately the only people reviewing and adding me to alerts are those that I can tell aren't over the age of 15 and what I'm writin' isn't for babies, catch my drift?  So I would just love to know that someone out there reading has at least been of age to pretend they are of legal drinking age for a bit.

This is from the press conference, but I like reading instead of viewing so I hope no one minds me posting it. I really loved this interview. It seems like she actually gets the Twilight Saga a lot more than others involved in the filmmaking process.

My favorite part:

Q: In this film, Bella has to make a decision. Did you feel like that was a big challenge?

Kristen: Yeah. There’s definitely the conflict, in that she’s pushed to the point where the decision needs to be made in this one. What’s cool is that things change and, as certain as she is sometimes, and as absolutely gung-ho, young, courageous and brave as she is, she’s also willing to take a step back and go, “Okay, I’m going to reconsider my options and reconsider how I’m treating everybody.” She acknowledges that she’s being a little bit selfish. She makes the choice. I feel like the choice has been made. As soon she sees Edward in the first film, it’s done, but it’s hard for her to get to point where everyone is going to accept that, and this is the film that it happens in.

Also, the producer did an interview that mentioned two things that made me feel a little better concerning BD

And how might you use 3D in either part of Breaking Dawn?

We have considered it, and everything's being discussed, but I know that part of a way to differentiate the two movies would be to have one be in 2D, and when she becomes a vampire we move into 3D. But we haven't really gotten far enough to decide what we're going to do. I'm of two minds of it, frankly, and I think everyone is; I don't want to chase the format if it's not organic and appropriate. If we think it is, we will.

Fans around the world seem to have one big request, and that is: Feathers. Lots of feathers.

We have feathers currently being grown on geese around the world so that we can steal them for our pillow-biting feather eruption!

I thought the feathers comment was great. I also like the idea of the second half being in 3D now that he explained it that way.

Help out a campfire-starting virgin?

I'm tiring of fanfic...which might be good for my career, but makes me a wee bit sad.  Rec me something to restart the fire, por favor.  I prefer smart fics about smart people.  Clean writing is a must, and I can only read ExB or slash.  Updates that come less than 1x/month drive me nuts. Also, you should assume that I've read the big name fics already.  Because, sadly, I think I've tried them all.

I love roleplaying but its nearly impossible to find any sites that are 1. interesting and 2. gives you a lot of control. So I was thinking of starting my own site and i was wondering if any one was interested.

Does anyone else think that Rob sniffs excessively, and wipes his nose a lot during interviews? 

Maybe it's just me, but I have noticed that he touches his nose, or sniffs A LOT during interviews - consistently, not just a one time thing that might indicate a cold or something. 

Maybe its allergies, but it could also be drug use, right?  Anybody else notice this?  Any theories, thoughts?

Yes, it's once again time to play "Name That Fic!". It's a story about hwo Bella loved Jasper, and Jasper marries Alice in the begining. Edward's at the wedding, and they meet, and then Bella moves and doesn't tell anybody like that or something. Jasper and Alice get divorced, Jasper gets with Tanya, and Edward goes to ask Bella's dad for permission to marry her. Does anyone know this story?

My favourite part has to be the Jasper slapping scene.  I've watched from 5.22 onwards so many times now!

How do you even respond to something like that? And, I really do think I need to respond, I just don't know the proper context. I could freak out. I considered freaking out, but I don't know if that's the right thing to do.

so, i was squealing about what an epic update week this had been.  the cannabean betrothal in my box this morning made me gleeful and of course, the resurrection of piano lessons was the highlight of my year.

so it got me to thinking.......there are some stories that i would do just about anything to have an update for.

I have been lurking in these here woods for a while now, and thought I'd be brave and pop my fire-starting cherry.

I'm in a bit of a reading lull at the mo, and wanted to know if anyone had any hidden gems out there?  Not the fics that everyone is reading, but fics that have low recognition and you think 'why the jeepers isn't everyone talking about this.'  The undiscovered jewels of the fandom.
