First, I am really liking the ability to "favorite" certain campfires.  Anyone else taking advantage of this terrific new feature?  It's extremely useful for finding rec's and keeping track  of the FGB auction thread and so on.  

I am ALSO liking the latest updated chapters/stories feature.  It's helped me keep track of where I am in my far-too-involved fanfic reading.

ADDICTION.

I classify this as the innate need for something EVEN when it is proven to be detrimental to mental, physical or emotional health. 

I am ADDICTED to fan fiction. 

I came home from my Wi-Fi free (!!!!) vacation and found about 40 updates in my inbox. Because I follow a LOT of stories (not as many as Capricorn75 (?#) I am sure, but still, a lot.  So I had to catch up with them this week WHILE monitoring my auction thread (I am far too chatty and obsessive) and write fic and so on... 

And now my wrist is messed up. This is NOT good. Because, though it is a proven deleterious obsession, now, I MUST CONTINUE TO READ. Because of course more fics have been updated this week (duh!) and I am still writing my mating imperative series (almost done) and I really do have two or three novels to work on (truly) and I am doing all of these things too...

But I have to have my fic fix, blast it.

And retile my house.

With a stiff and sore wrist.

corn on the cob, watermelon, fireworks, barbecues, block parties, too much sunshine, whiskey and coke, sneaking sips of beer from dad's bottle, running barefoot in the grass and lobbing water balloons at your siblings when you're young, boys when you're older, moms in really lame red/white/blue getups, sitting in the back of a pickup and eating a watermelon, spitting seeds at each other and the juice dribbling down your chin, sparklers tickling your skin with electric burns, the older boys lighting cherry bombs while adults pretend not to notice, little kids running around and shouting with excitement even though they don't know why...

I come here often looking for help with finding fics, i'm hoping you can help me now.

I read A LOT of fan fiction. Probably too much. I mostly read AH, because I don't need a re-hash of Twilight. It's been done, and done well or we wouldn't all be here in the first place.

So I'm hoping to get back into Vamp fiction.

I've read: And With Thee Fade Away, If Love Could Light A Candle, A Creature Of Habit, Masque of the Red Death, and a few others.

I'm looking for VAMP fics, that are NOT a re-telling of Twilight. I'm looking for stuff that's not the same old, same old.

That's right!  My happy ass is leaving (North Dakota) on a jet plane and making the almost 2000 mile journey to Boston, MA on July 16th.  My intentions?  I'm going to the Twilight Convention and will be trying not to get escorted out of the building by Kellan Lutz's security team when I attempt to tongue-rape his dimples!

Now...since I'm making this longass journey, I need to know...who all is going?  We MUST schedule a meet up!  I'm not going all this way to not meet any of you amazing campers that are going to be there!!!

What was different this time was his haircut—cropped on the side—which made him look younger.

In this chat, Robert talks about his anxiety over the coming end of the “Twilight” series, how he feels about the kissing scenes between Kristen Stewart’s Bella and Taylor Lautner’s Jacob, and a life-changing moment, among others.

Robert has come a long way from the first time we interviewed him on the London set of “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire,” in which he played Cedric Diggory.

What are you looking forward to about “Breaking Dawn” being shot back-to-back as two films and of Bill Condon directing them?
I’m glad that it’s Bill Condon. I love his stuff. I haven’t seen the script yet but I am fearful about the series’ end. It’s such a great security blanket. It’s like a net. You can afford to make mistakes when you have another “Twilight” film to make. After that, I guess you’re on your own.

I’m glad the “Breaking Dawn” films will be done together. Because otherwise, it’s quite hard to fit another film in-between each one. Like what happened in “Eclipse”—having to get your mind back to where it was before. I had about a week of preparation time. It was quite stressful in the beginning. With the two films done together, you can just stay in character the whole time.

Being a total nerd about this...but the other night I had a total fanfic moment in my RL that made me laugh.

When you're out and about (or in honor of Canada Day...oot and aboot), do you ever see something that reminds you of your favorite fanfics?

The last time I was in the liquor store, I saw a big 'ol box of Franzia wine, and all I could think about was the Tour De Franzia from Texts from Last Night.  Also, every time I see a Toblerone bar, I think of Emanicpation Proclamation.

Have any of you seen it more than one time? How was it at second viewing? How is it now that you can look back without all of the excitement? 

My boss is grumbling today. This makes my day long and nerve-wracking which I dislike.  I thought to myself "we all need a rage/dislike post" and guess what? I WAS RIGHT. I asked the grand old Ranger wolvesnvamps if I could make this post and she said "ABSOLUTELY. GET IT UP NOW."

So I'm going to see Eclipse today, and my theater is playing it in IMAX. 

Have any of you all seen it in IMAX? If so, is it worth the $15 ticket price? Your opinions are appreciated!

LONDON, UK, 17 June 2010 – Shorts International will release the short movie The Summer House featuring The Twilight Saga: Eclipse star Robert Pattinson on July 13. The film will be available to download from iTunes Movie Stores in the US, Canada, UK, France, Ireland and Germany.

It is Northern France and the swinging sixties are well underway. While mankind is landing on the moon, a young girl becomes a woman and learns that life on earth can prove to be just as alien as those famous first steps.
