Am I the only one knocking around the forest that has tried reading a few of the OMG!!YOUMUSTREADTHIS!! fics and either not made it past the first few chapters or flounced on them when they drag on?

So...as many of you probably know THE CHERRY EXCHANGE CONTEST is ticking into its final days before entries must be submitted (by Nov 30).

I'm sure many of you have been eagerly reading the entries already posted on the Cherry Exchange C2... and I must say - THEY ARE BRILLIANT! The wide range of one-shots authors have written is astounding.

I posted my entry just yesterday. It was my first contest AND first lemon AND first attempt at historical fic (set in the 1950s)...so it's been a huge writing challenge and leap for me. And it's definitely helped me to get my mojo back!

What's your fave one-shot from the Exchange so far?

Do you love fics that actually take time to build up character relationships before the lemon, or would you rather they got down and dirty straight away?

Okay, don't want to offend but I needed to know what derogatory slang american teens, maybe east coast? use for Homosexuality?  I hope I won't get in trouble for this.  Its the evil character in my story is going to start a rumor about my MC being gay.  I'll put my slur in comments.  Don't come in if you are offended easily.  Its not my opinions, it's a close minded fictional character.

Panic/Anxiety attacks? I have been lately (for d past couple of months now) but had a pretty bad one today which has me pretty down. Its really starting to get to me now. I'm wondering was it always going to be in my biological make-up or has something triggered it! My drink was spiked a few months back and it seems to have co-insided with the anxiety and panic attacks so I'm wondering if that could be a trigger? Anyway anyone with any knowledge to share please do it would be greatly appreciated.

Also is there a fanfic with panic attack or anxiety that Edward suffers from? Think I seen it in a campfire before!

Ladies, I need some lemon laden fiction.  There's very few love-through-citris kind of stories.  I'm reading Ride, Million Dollar Baby and Last Tango in Forks, but I don't come across many other stories of that ilk.

When I look at my current alert list, I'm amazed over the variety of the kinds of stories I have on it.  I've got angst, humor, smut, romance, hurt/comfort, fantasy, sci-fic.....There's first love, second chances, love triangles, beating the odds, unlikely senarios, HF, cheating (gasp!)...and I'm betting a lot of your lists look like this, too.

So we always say who is your Edward or who is your Bella. We even discuss who we see as the Cullens. But I want to know who you see when it comes to the high school students. In the movies we don't get Lauren or Ben. But when you sit down a read a fic, who do you see as Mike, Jessica, Eric, Tyler, Angela, Lauren, and Ben?

Hello Hello! I apologize for the lack of wordiness but since I'm writing this off my trusty iPhone I'll have to keep it short. I'm looking for some fix recs. Specifically one where Edward is in a wheelchair. I have already started to read Men Without Eyes by danieller123 and it is fantastic, I love it. But now I'm looking for some more similar fics to read. I'm also putting off writing an essay so long/completed fics are a plus.
And it's still FFA right? How bout them Maple Leafs? They lost again yesterday but the Sabres are pretty much an automatic L for the Buds these days. That Ryan Miller. Are you into hockey? I'm a lurker by nature. I'm happy to gather the moss and small twigs to build a camp fire but I rarely sit in the circle and chat. Though I'd never turn down a roasted marshmallow.

Okay, so if you're in the UK, chances are over the past few days you will have seen at least a little bit of snow. Especially up in Scotland. SCHOOL CLOSURES IN NOVEMBER? What is this?

And of course, Northern Europeans are laughing at us all right now.

GLOBAL WARMING! Or... well, really, it's climate change, 'cos evidence shows that the United Kingdom would actually cool, rather than warm... But whatevs.

What are your views? Is Global Warming happening? OR IS IT ALL A BIG CONSIPIRACY BY THE GOVERNMENT? Or do you just not care at all?

so. today was an interesting day for those of us interested in the NCAAF Top 25 and/or the race for the National Championship title game.

No. 1 Oregon held onto their rank fairly easily against No. 21 Arizona.

No. 2 Auburn managed to clinch a late victory over the No. 11 'Bama Crimson Tide in a 28-27 win. Their rank could possibly be up for grabs by Sunday (but it's pretty unlikely).

No. 3 TCU plays NMSU tomorrow. NMSU is currently at 1-10 this season, hopefully leaving an easy win for the Horned Frogs.

here's the craziest part -- No. 4 Boise State DEFEATED by No. 19 Nevada

Now, friends, come talk about the greatest American sport (well, at least to college students) -- NCAA football. Do you think the BCS needs to disband? How do you feel about a playoff system? Is it fair that TCU - a team most likely to go undefeated - faces the possibility of being jumped by a one-loss team because of their conference affiliation? OSU v Michigan is tomorrow -- do you claim sides in this rivalry madness? Texas A&M beat the Texas Longhorns 24-17 this year; Gig 'Em or Hook 'em Horns?

One Dog - Saluki, black and tan, kind of fluffy - thinks that it's hilarious to get owner up at 7:30 on a Saturday and then escape into next doors garden, so owner then has to go outside in my shory PJ'S and flipflops to get him back.

We know there have been a few campfires about E-Readers before; however, In view of the new editions and upgrades.....

Which  E-Reader do you use? (If you have one.)

Do you have to pay for uploads to the reader? Or can you 'drag and drop?'

Do they read PDF or do you have to find a converter?

Can you share among friends? (Because The Lurker and I always harass each other to read stuff on a regular basis)

Is there one that is better for uploading say...saved fics?

 So far the top 3 E-Readers we've found are the Kindle, the Nook, and the Sony E-Reader
