So I just finished Emancipation Proclamation (LOVED IT, but this campfire is NOT about that story), those of you that have read it know that it was complex, long, angsty, and emotional. 

So I need to read something to get me out of the mindset that story put me in. Something a little more lighthearted, sexy, fun...here are my choices (not sure what all of these have in terms of what i'm looking for):

Interestingly enough, Cyber Monday isn't the biggest online shopping day of the year.  It's December 15th, the last day that most online retailers can guarantee shipping and delivery by Christmas.

So... if yer like me, you have your email window CLOSED for the day because you don't want to be bothered with all of the ads piling up inside.

Or maybe yer not like me, and you're excited with your CC # ready and you're taking advantage of the many FREE SHIPPING deals today.

Chapter 6 update

I hate Breaking Dawn.

Hate it.

Despise it.

Now that we got that out of the way, I want you to share with me all the ways you hate Breaking Dawn. I hate it so much that I think I missed things to hate. This makes me angry. I want MORE to hate. So make me happy and give me some of your best hate.

Here are a few of mine:

The little house on the prairie wedding dress

The snooze-fest wedding with the predictable Jacob/Bella gone wrong reunion

Fade to Black (yea I know that one is universal)

The utter destruction of my beloved Edward  (SM-I will never forgive you)

10,000 random vampires who mean nothing to the plot (whoa wait, what plot?)

Bella as a boring vampire (but then I should have expected this because she was the most boring human ever)

A syringe? Seriously?

THAT THING THAT JACOB IMPRINTED ON (I refuse to utter it's name)

GIVE ME SOME HATE!

I love you all.

Leslie Nielsen, the funniest dude ever, in my opinion, died today :( He was 84.

A hiliarious actor, he was known best for his roles in the Airplane! movies.

I loved him in everything he did, but the Mel Brooks movie "Dracula: Dead and Loving It" was a favorite of mine.

Yesterday I woke up with part of a broken tooth in my mouth. 

$400 and five hours of not being able to feel my face later, I have a surgical appointment scheduled.  I apparently have one broken and three impacted wisdom teeth(one pretty bad, not sure if they can surgically remove it.)   I have an appointment in a weeks time to have all four removed and I am TERRIFIED.

Has anyone had their wisdom teeth taken out? How was the pain? The recovery?

I'm having visions of the Marathon Man scene.

I've been spending sometime reading today.  Today, it's Dylan Thomas... he's one of my favorites. I love the poem Light breaks where no sun shines. It's beautiful and mysterious and sexual... but it's also vague and there's some debate about the actual meaning behind it.  I wrote a paper about it once back in school, I always figured it to about the loss of virginity and about self-discovery....but later on I've realized that there's more to it than that.  I think good poems speak to each person differently and mean something different depending on where you are in your life.  When I was 17, I related everything to sex. (i kinda still do, but whatevs)

Anyway... I write poetry sometimes.  Really bad poetry that no one ever sees or will ever need to read, it's horrific.  The other day a line of words popped into my head and I haven't been able to continue it.  I've just been repeating it to myself...it's silly.

So let's do this.  I'll give you the line, and you give me something back, and we'll write a poem together.  Maybe?  Here ya go:

Hey to everyone

Over the last couple of days I have read some of the posts, and I can not believe how strong, passionate  and determined you all are.

I know that the majority of us have there own issues and things we have/had/are dealing with, but I just gotta say WOW to all of you out there that has shared yours with us.

I know that some read and/or write as a form of escapism or find it cathartic, and I know that by doing that you are helping others in the same way.

So the whole reason for this post is to say a big THANKYOU to all that write fanfic, to those who founded places like ADF so we can chat, to those who post campfires, and those who comment, for sharing and caring.

'Coz I know that a simple "hello" or a rec for a fic or song etc really DOES make a whole lotta difference in my life! and I guessing that I'm not the only one!

So take this chance to air any gratitudes to people that may have made your day/week/month/year by doing one of the above, share your thoughts on why you love ADF and Fanfic

Writers it's your opportunity to give a little lovin' to your readers...
