and seriously, seriously you guys. this contest was such a runaway success that i can't even. thank you so much to everyone who participated and allowed us to creep on their lives! the rangers loved it, the campers loved it, and that chester who lives down your street/is a member here at ADF loved it.

LoveGame just updated. It's the darkest Edward I've read and the most interesting take on the Cullen Clan if you're wanting them to be alittle more true to the vampire nature.  So is anyone else still reading this one that started years ago. It's worth the wait and is moving in new directions. What's your opinion?

Hello forest! It's been ages since I've been able to frolick in your leaves! Long story short, I had moved in with my sister, about three hundred miles from my original place, and it did NOT work out. In the five months I was there, I never coud get internet...so now I'm back and staying part time with my dad and part time with some friends...and YAY, my dad has the internet! I have missed you all so much!

NaNoWriMo Prep Week 5: Get Off The Block

When I was in junior high, I ran track and field. I was mostly on the "field" end--my main events were shot put and javelin, but of course, you still needed to be able to run a 100 and 400 just to be on the team. One thing I remember very clearly was all the work that went into learning how to get off a starting block.

Professional runners can spend hours upon hours practicing getting just the right position, just the right weight shift, just the right propulsion at the starting gun. At the highest levels of competition, races are won or lost by that crucial moment of getting off the starting block correctly.

Hey all! I'd like to try something new, maybe no one will go for it, but it could end up being something to do again in the future! 

I've been obsessed with this song all day, and it seems kind of...meloncholy and wistfull to me. 

The challenge is:

I'd love for someone to rec me a story that they felt this song could be the backdrop to! In mood, overall vibe, whatever! I'd love your take on maybe a down on his luck Edward, or an Edward that's overcome some hurdle in his life (that's what I get out of this anyway). I see him walking on a shore regretting his past choices or something, I dunno.

What are your thoughts?  REC ME PLEASE!

Please. I have questions and I didn't know what else to do besides make a campfire to get answers.

Who all recieves the email if we send it from the contact page? How does that work? Who answers it? Do you all recieve it or just one ranger? How long after we send the email? Do you guys ever skim campfires that ask for help? I've sent a contact email question more than once for different things and no one has ever answered me back. There is something wrong with the upload button on avatars alot of campers are having problems with it. Its not working.

Thanks for any help anyone can give.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!  This is just a friendly PSA about Breaking Dawn.  In case you haven't heard, AMC Theaters is showing Breaking Dawn at 8:00 p.m. on the 17th!  No waiting around for midnight! You have to have a Stub Club card to buy a ticket.  I've bought 14 so far for friends and my theater says they are still only half-way full.  I'm surprised I haven't heard more about this promo.  I cannot wait!!

Hey ladies! So I'm sitting here watching Twilight on FX (squee!!!!) and I just thought, even after watching this movie so many times I'm still enamored by the love between the original Bella and Edward. I have only read a few stories that I feel measure up to the level of the original. That is what I would love to have recommendations for, is a fanfic with such a beautiful love between B and E that it gives me butterflies and I can't stop thinking about it. Thank you so much in advance. :D

We just got back from our regional kickoff. I'd not gone last year but took the plunge this time around.
