The interesting thing about this fic is how it came to be. It is a spin off of a wonderful story by Gleena: The cold war. It is complete and your should read it. Anyway, a male author (Yes, rara avis), crmcneill, obtained permission to develop a scenario from Gleena's fic. The resulting one shot won the Mentalward contest award and crmcneill was asked to continue it. He started, but RL got in his way. So now Content1 is continuing it. I understand that she has already a number of chapters ready to post. All in all it is a great exaple of cooperation between authors.

This is my first rec for 2012 - I just couldn't keep it to myself!! 

this morning, i attempted to turn my ceiling fan off by pulling the affixed chain that is meant to power the thing on/off and change the settings.

i pulled the thing about 38 times before finally sticking my hand in the blades to see if it was off.

the point is,  doesn't everyone pull the ceiling fan chain at least 38 times before it finally goes off?

I've gotta say, these chapters where elements of nature observe the goings-on are my absolute favorite.

They're so wistful, so nostalgic, like a moment out of time, a memory. I just adore the way Miaokuancha writes. She has a very subtle way with words. She lays them down like dew- they're so delicate, but so perfect, each one.

So, yesterday, I posted an update to my fic and, probably like a large percentage of the fandom, didn't get as many reviews as I had hoped. I'm not special in any way, but I don't think my reaction is a normal one.

Am I the only who feels like crap when you post an update and no one reviews? I feel like everyone rejected me.

So... I just noticed that there have been a lot of updates to site and some of which I'm WAYYYY behind on!  I noticed some people's profiles have a link to their stories they've written.  I've updated mine for facebook, twitter and fan fiction but I can't get the "This person is an author" link in the general section.

Is there something special I'm supposed to do to get that?

Well, it's been a couple weeks with some holidays in between. :)  I'm happy it's Wednesday, let's have some fun!

Which fic did you pimp out the most (and did you regret it)?

In my case probably The Blessing and The Curse. It had like 100 reviews when I started becoming obsessed with it. And as much as I didn't like the characters or the prose towards the end, I'll never regret it. I still think she's one of the most talented authors in the fandom.

The female in me hates posting this (I even hate saying 'pimp'), but I can't help myself
