So.
I've been having a bit of fun entering a few flashfiction comps and stuff lately, and it got me thinking ... but I don't want to go to a heap of effort if no one is interested.
So, here's my question:
If I set up a fanfic flash-fic blog, would you a) write for it, and/or b) read and vote for the entries?
I'm thinking fortnightly, I'm thinking 100-200 word entries in a 24 hour period, so our friends all over the globe can play. I'm thinking a judge picks their top five entries, and then everybody votes on these finalists. I'm thinking the winner each time gets to a) pick the next prompt, and b) choose the next set of finalists.
I'm thinking I'd love to see people tweeting the heck out of it.
So, let me know in the comments if you'd participate, if you have any sugeestions for how I could make this work, or if you think I'm just crazy and should take my bat and ball and go home.
Here's a rec or two, just 'cause I want to, and they're bloody awesome pieces of writing...
