What's this Twilight Fanfic?

Wednesday January 23, 2013 at 5:15 PM

Hello :)  I read this twilight fic but I never got to finish it, I can't remember the name and I've been searching for it for ages! If any one knows the author or the title PLEASE tell me!!

It's an Edward and Bella fic, Bella is married but Edward is single, they're having an affair together. Bella keeps telling him she needs to get back to her husband, when actually she's already separated? That's the most I can remember. Edward gives her an ultimatum of sorts and that's as far as I got :( if anyone knows this fic PLEASE let me know!! Thank you all so much, Bex =)

Oh and if anyone does read this, you MUST read "FicThisGifAnonContest" story "The Girl Who Jumped" if you haven't already =) It's a one shot and absolutely amazing! I've read it countless times, it's so cute and also check out "Wat'sMyNomDePlume's" story "The Best I've Ever Had".  Its fun, hot, sweet and incredibly adorable =) Both are Edward and Bella stories :D

Here's the links for them:

Heeeeeeelp!!

Hello!

Yesterday I was arranging my fanfiction file and my dying computer is not opening any files that are saved in rtf. So I'll have to download the files all over again, now in pdf.

So there are still that Google docs page that has several fanfictions, or somewhere else for me to download them!?

Thank you!

Life's a...fairy tale?

Tuesday January 22, 2013 at 9:40 PM

I just saw this trailer for the new movie Jack the Giant Slayer.

I don't know...I'm conflicted.  It seems that once Hollywood gets it's mind on something, it becomes such a trend:  Red Riding Hood, Alice in Wonderland, Snow White and The Huntsman, Mirror Mirror, the upcoming Hansel & Gretel and Oz movies.

I've liked some - I actually enjoyed Red Riding Hood, and I thought SWaTH was good.  I couldn't get through Alice and didn't see Mirror Mirror.  I'm actually looking forward to Oz the Great and Powerful, but I'm not sure about Jack or Hansel & Gretel.

What about you?  Is it just too much?  Or are you happy about all of these fairy tale type movies being made/remade?  Which ones are you looking forward to or which ones have you enjoyed?

May the odds... be EVER... in your favor*

Monday January 21, 2013 at 6:05 PM

So, I plowed through the entire Hunger Games series this weekend. It was awesome, much better than I remember (okay, I still have to finish Mockingjay, but I that will happen tonight), and I kind of love Katniss. So of course, the next stop is fic. I don't feel the desperate need to find fic, like I did with Twilight, but I would love to read some post Mockingjay fic (after events, before epilogue) that is just spectacular. I would love it to be Katniss/Peeta, or maybe Katniss/Haymitch (which, I think Woody Harrelson was perfect casting, OMG), or even, dare I say, Peeta/Haymitch?

The only thing I don't want is any of them with Gale. Ugh. Gale can suck rocks. He can be a friend (he was a bad friend), but that is it. A pox on Gale.

So, there you go? I want to go through the tags, of course, and I'll check out any master lists I can find, but I would love a point in the right direction.

My rec!

I have recently been somewhat enamored of Honeybeemeadows, who wrote the lovely Chalk, and is writing the wonderful The Other Way. That Edward is full of delicious angst, and also tattoos. Delightful!

* Unoriginal, yes, but I've been saying it all weekend.

Every Monday, I'm going to dedicate a CF to the Hot Guy of the Week. The catch? The CF can ONLY be about the current nominated guy.

We all have different tastes in men, so please don't yuck anyone's yum. If you have a man you'd like to see crowned for the week, PM or hit me up on twitter (@ffcherry) with his name.

So come on in and see who won the crown this week!

Online addiction and ignorance

Monday January 21, 2013 at 1:47 AM

This O/S got me thinking.. .Have you ever felt you're ignoring your family and friends because of your online addiction? What do you do when you feel like that? Do you change your pattern or you're too much addicted?

A-Christmas-Present

Bella Cullen is a crazy, obsessed fan of superstar Jacob Black and spends hours in talking about him on internet. This annoys her husband Edward Cullen a lot. But one incident changes everything. What's that? O/S

Asking for help with a banner

Sunday January 20, 2013 at 4:11 PM

Asking for help is not something I do very often and it makes me uncomfortable.  (Yep--I know it's something I shouldn't feel bad about, and I need to get over it.)  So ... deep breath ....

I'm hoping someone here can point me in the right direction.  After over a year, I'm finally ready to post a new story and cannot seem to find anyone who's taking banner requests.

If a friendly camper or ranger could point me in the right direction, I'd very much appreciate it.

Thanks in advance.

Italians, gig-attending fans, please help

Sunday January 20, 2013 at 3:44 PM

Hi :) I'm in real depression these days (yes, the ex-BFF problems have become even worse. Much worse) so what does a citizen of a financially struggling country do in such circumstances? Book trips abroad! Two nights in Crete at the end of April and four nights in Milan at the end of June to see MUSE!!!!

I tried to book the tickets for their concert, but I can't figure out which ones to choose. Camilla, Raum, help please?

Prato € 63.25

Tribuna Ovest Numerata € 71.88

Tribune Est € 66.13

Curva Nord Numerata € 54.63

Does anyone have any clue what would be best? Thanks :)\

Fan Fiction meets real world/life

Sunday January 20, 2013 at 3:03 AM

With how global our little fan fiction niche is (thanks P2P peeps! and 50!). I can't help but flash to a fic or so when I hear about something or read something and wonder if it was fic influenced or vice versa.

I somehow came across this article More NYU and Columbia female students or 'sugar babies' are seeking 'sugar daddies' to pay for rising school costs and immediately thought of a fic. Took me awhile because it hasn't updated in awhile but it hit me. A May to December Romance. Same concept. Same schools. It was just funny to notice the similarities.

What have you come across that's made you go hmm was that I fic, inspired by a fic, I wonder if that non-fic person skimmed a fic, etc?

write me ALL the things!

Sunday January 20, 2013 at 2:57 AM

So.

I've been having a bit of fun entering a few flashfiction comps and stuff lately, and it got me thinking ... but I don't want to go to a heap of effort if no one is interested.

So, here's my question:

If I set up a fanfic flash-fic blog, would you a) write for it, and/or b) read and vote for the entries?

I'm thinking fortnightly, I'm thinking 100-200 word entries in a 24 hour period, so our friends all over the globe can play. I'm thinking a judge picks their top five entries, and then everybody votes on these finalists. I'm thinking the winner each time gets to a) pick the next prompt, and b) choose the next set of finalists.

I'm thinking I'd love to see people tweeting the heck out of it.

So, let me know in the comments if you'd participate, if you have any sugeestions for how I could make this work, or if you think I'm just crazy and should take my bat and ball and go home.

Here's a rec or two, just 'cause I want to, and they're bloody awesome pieces of writing...

Love In Idleness. "...for aught that I could ever read/Could ever hear by tale or history/The course of true love never did run smooth." A little Edward. A little Bella. A few fairies, and a robot. Into the woods we go. Twilight meets A Midsummer Night's Dream.

Beneath this Sky. Nineteen years ago, time unraveled. In a changed world, Bella fights to save a man from the past and a girl with no future. AU.

A Place of Her Own

Saturday January 19, 2013 at 12:33 PM

I spent yesterday changing the unused diningroom into " a place of her own" for myself. I find myself borrowing the kitchen table to work on my jewelry, leaving piles of art projects in my bedroom & the dining table. So I decided to take claim of this room for myself alone. The seldom used table is my workstation. The bookcase is my paint & supplies shelves. My easel placed for morning sun. And my laptop placed on a clean & uncluttered simple desk.

So, how many of you have "a place of her own"? Do you find it a necessity to complete who you are & what you can be? Or do you find a laptop on your lap enough? That everyday family chaos is simulating and bolsters your happiness.

Bella, the liar?

Friday January 18, 2013 at 9:07 PM

Have you read a fic where Edward and Bella are in a relationship, Bella lied to Edward and Edward left her? When I say lie, I mean lie for months about something unforgivable. It could be cheating but the deception could be based on anything. In fact, I'd prefer if it wasn't about cheating.

Is this uncommon in fics? If not, I'm wondering how authors developed the situation, described all the emotions involved in the lie and cover ups, built up the betrayal before revealing the truth, then created a possible reconciliation.

The Twilight Train

Edward joins his family to celebrate Alice's wedding on a cross-country train trip. Bella left Edward 5 years before and he doesn't believe in miracles anymore. Can a father's love and a pixie sister make everything right again? The Christmas train, twilight style. Guaranteed happy ending. AH M
