Recently I've been on http://library.ficcentral.com/ alot because they featured fics that aren't well-known, but for the most part are still really well written and deserving of more viewership. If you're anything like me, you've probably read most of the popular fics and those that get rec'd a lot in these camp fires. So my question is what sites do you use to find the rare gems fics in the fandoms, or specifically what fanfics you've liked that you felt deserved more review/readership? 

I really like this two-shot. It isn't that well known (with under 200 reviews), but the writing is very thoughtful and this is a type of Edward that I like; where he is attractive but not godly so, confident but not arrogant. Enjoy!

The Lux series by Jennifer Armentrout was highly recommended to me last week, and I bought a prequel on B&N cheap and was able to get the rest of the series from the library.  I'm so hooked on them.  Book 5, Origin, will be out this coming August.

It's a YA series with aliens, and the characters are strong and well written, imo.

Interesting side note: the cover models for the Lux series met years ago and just happen to be engaged. She's a model and he's a model and professional soccer player from Cypress.

Need a rec:

I'm desperately looking for recs, fic or otherwise for books of a similar nature. I prefer slim to none on graphic smut, but I can always glance over it.  I'm really into the  alien love thing right now, but any good Sci fi/paranormal/fantastic tale will do.

thirdly, i know it's been dead around here. the beginning of summer is the doldrums as far as the forest is concerned. that's why i'll be declaring that the freeforall shall continue all next week. i'll remind you all come monday, don't worry. 

fourthly, i'm doing a new kind of campfire this week: a swap. swap books, swap gift cards, swap husbands, whatever; the only rule will be you take care of shipping on your end and they take care on theirs. no money is to exchange hands or paypal emails. that one will probs go up tuesday, unless my dad ends up in surgery.

fifthly, jandco and i just finished the first draft of our novel. it's all happening!

sixthly, i want you all to watch orphan black. find it. it's only ten episodes. i'll be writing some fanfiction for it soon.

seventhly, we will be looking for people to take on the weekly rec, pimp, and help desk posts. do not inquire within; i will post about it later this week. you will have to apply for the position. if it's something you'd like to do, start thinking of proposals, because that's what you're going to be writing for us.

Since everyone has been so awesome here and patient when answering my questions..... I just want you to know that we know the sex of the baby and it is a BOY!!!  We are so excited, but I'm nervous at the same time as my siblings and I have all girls....  I know it's early, as we are about 16 weeks, but it feels nice to finally know and to start planning.  I thought we had the name picked but hubby wants something different so we are trying to meet in the middle.

Anyway, we haven't had one for a couple of weeks so I thought I'd kick it back off!

How have we all been doing?

I've got some ideas for this campfire, since I think the whole idea of a 40 week challenge just isn't working (with how many people have been commenting as of late) I figured instead of a challenge, it's simply a weekly or biweekly (depending on when people remember to make  this CF) when we talk about being healthy, losing weight (if that's what you're wanting to do) and generally swapping fit-tips.
