I finally started reading "And with thee fade away" by derdriu o Faolain, which I stored on my Kindle back in the days when it wasn't pulled, using flagfic.

And guess what? Some network error must have occurred while flag was downloading it, because there are several chapters missing, replaced with some kind of timeout error message. And of course I didn't check for stuff like that right after I got it. Sigh.

Anyway - does anybody maybe have a copy and would be willing to share? (Preferably mobi, but I'd be grateful for pdf or any other format, too...) I really don't want to miss out on this classic. Thanks so much in advance!

ETA: To make this interactive (thank you PNW Luna for the inspiration) - have you ever had a malfunction of anything technical (software, microwave, car, whatever) that you found out about just a tad bit too late? Usually, I'm the girl who doesn't properly check if everything I intended to copy has actually ended up on the USB stick. Guess who sprinted home more than once right before an important presentation...

OMG. I laughed out loud so many times throughout this whole story. Generally, I hate when real life people are written in to fan fic, but I have to say that Robert Pattinson in the story is my favorite character. One of the few fics I’ve read twice. Goes from hysterically funny, to angsty and dark, but blends the two together very well.  I might just read it again!

FF has spoiled me- there are some FANTASTIC authors offering their blood, sweat, and tears for free. But I foolishly followed a rec here for the Black Daggar Brotherhood and was hooked on books that had characters not named Edward or Bella. 

I know we already have a "feed my e-reader" campfire but I would love to have more recs of original fiction at any price. So help me spend my latte budget on my kindle instead.

My recs for you:

I’ve plowed through the whole BDB series so far and loved them (some more than others but I’m a nosy bitch and love to know the inside scoop on everyone, even if after the fact I’m just a tiny bit ~meh~). I went looking for more vampire stories. I didn’t get past the first chapter of a couple until I stumbled on this gem by Elizabeth Hunter (and I just noticed the kindle version is free).

It’s def. not as raunchy as BDB so if that’s what floats your boat, this might not be the series for you. But if you like a strong female character, an intriguing mystery and exotic locations, I highly recommend it. I’m on the last book of the 4 book series and I’m rationing it like it’s the last bag of skittles in the universe. I will be very sad to see it end.

And if you prefer your characters more of the human variety I have another recent find in honor of football season. I’m not sure anyone does football better than my fellow ACC fan nolebucgrl or jayhawkbb but this was a fun, easy read that combines football with a sweet southern boy.

(I have to say that I hate pasting romance novel images bcs they can be sooooo freaking cheesy)

I am so sorry. I was fic diving into the favorites of my fav fics'authors and I found a promising one. I started reading but I made a mistake and erased it and I had not saved the link. and can't find the faves list I was examining. Lost|

The summary said that Edward, a travelling  businessman, found a room an a resort/pension whatever  managed by the Swans, but weird things happened. It was marked AU and complete

In the first chapter (Bella's POV) we learn that Renee is rather out of her head. She left Charlie but fortunately she came back to him when Bella was 13.  Now they are managing this pension. At least Renee thinks she is, but all the work has to be done by Bella.
