Please help!

A dear friend of mine has been going through a very rollercoaster relationship with her maybe soon-to-be ex fiancee. I have been trying to stay neutral and out of it, but it seems that no matter what advice I suggest to her, in the end I feel inadequate because I don't know what she's going through. I've never been in a relationship, so the only sources I have are from observing past relationships, my friends and family have had, and what the media suggests is best (basically, I'm just going with my so-called common sense). It hurst me seeing her get hurt. I feel like the answer is simple, but again.....what do I know.

I wanted to have a campfire dedicated to "Chick Lit."

Several years ago, there was a publishing company called Red Dress Ink.  They produced funny, witty, romantic femal-driven novels.  The company still exists but was bought out by Harlequin and frankly, I don't think the caliber of stories have been the same.

Come in and talk about your favourite chick lits.  What did you like most about the novel(s)?  Why do you recommend it?

p.s. I have an ulterior motive.  I'm actually looking for something new to read.  Something funny and witty and if it's got romance thrown in then all the better.

So, my sassy toddler is competing in the 2013 Glare-Off contest put on by Mommy Shorts. You may have seen this on the Today Show last year. The winners were terrifying. The photo I entered is of my now-toddler before her 1st birthday. I felt it really showed her glare in its beginning stages, surrounded by Halloween-appropriate zombie gore. Votes do NOT determine the finalists that will be chosen at the end of October, but they do help. Certainly they don't hurt.

If you're so inclined, go check out my little lady and the competition and 'vote' (click the photos that you like!) for her or anyone. It'd be really neat for her to win, but it's mostly just fun. :) I've even 'voted' for some of the competition because there are some pretty fierce glares there!

The times they are a-changin. Fic is definitely slowing down these days, and I really miss the olden times when everyone got excited about an update. I miss the controversy about plot developments, and the storyline speculation, and all the pretty banners, so on and so forth.

But then I remembered that Twific isn't the only free, serialized fiction available on the internet. I recently discovered this AWESOME webcomic. I've never really read a webcomic before, or actually comics in general, but it's pretty fun, and a WIP.
