This is going to sound really silly but please don't make fun of me. Is anyone here besides me a practicing witch? Samhain is another word for Halloween - its the witches new year.

So anyone? Anyone at all? And how do you celebrate besides with trick or treating?

I was checking on FFN this morning and find that many of the stories I had on alert have not updated since 2012.  I have put a list of these below.  A few of them are by names I see on this website and most all of them have lots of reviews.  I hate to delete them from my alert list if there is any chance they might be completed.

I was wondering if anyone knew what happened to these authors and if they have maybe moved their stories to another fiction website.  If you know anything about them I would appreciate you letting me know.  If you happen to have a completed copy of these I would appreciate your sending me a PM and letting me know what format you might have it in.

Let's play a round of  "who woulda thought?" this week.

Like, who would thought Kansas City would be the last undeafeted team in the NFL this season? (Seriously. Who woulda thought?)

Who woulda thought Florida State's freshman qb might lead them to a national championship game? (nolebucgrl, did you know this would happen? That kid is magic)

Who woulda thought Alabama would be number 1 (uhhh, everyone, everyone shoulda thought that so far, lol).

Also, come in and see an absolutely amazing video of a University band doing a tribute to Michael Jackson. It's really cool but I can't jinx said University by putting it on the front page of the campfire, it might cause their team to do poorly (cuz we football fans are superstitious and weird).

Anyone know or recommend an illustrator?

I'm writing a children's book with my son. We're just about finished but we'll need to have it illustrated before we try to self publish.  We would like for the proceeds to go to a charity we founded a year after my little guy was hospitalized with RSV.  

The book is called...The Santa Secrets.  It's about a seven-year-old boy named Charlie who wants to visit the North Pole.  Through his efforts to be on Santa's good list, Charlie comes to learn that the true spirit of Christmas is about a lot more than just getting presents.  (more inside)

Our charity was founded in 2007 and supports 1,500 families each year who have a child in intensive care.  We provide travel sized items to the families so they have the basic necessities to get them through the first twelve hours of a hospital stay.  Here's more

1) Does anyone here have a copy of Resisting Edward by Oooohlala? Mine exists only in jar format which I can't convert into doc now, and that's really sad..((

2) Could you please advise a person who'd been living under a rock for the last year (or two already, I'm not sure... my God, how time flies..)) ) what are the "it-fics" nowadays that everybody's reading and discussing and admiring, some high quality writings like in the old days.)? AH preferred.

I have been living under a rock for a while, apparently, because it took me until last month to succumb to the awesomeness of this show. I've been in a mad frenzy to catch up to this season, watching like a mad woman on the nights I don't have class (7 more episodes until I am all caught up with the most current episode)!

Does anyone else here share my love for this show? Who is your favorite character? Does all the tension drive you crazy?!

Peter Quinn gets me all hot and bothered. Oh yes he does.

Robpics have been scarce in recent weeks until the last 24 hours, during which we have been blessed with a groovy assortment:

3.  Ah yes.  That weird Caitlin Cronenberg photoshoot.  Rob in red with black tulle.  There are black leather pants photos out there, but they were more weird than hot.  A lost opportunity, Caitlin.

Would you tolerate your man wearing the bright jeans?

Last weekend I met a man (friend of a friend) who was wearing bright green jeans and a mustard coloured watch. I chuckled but did not guffaw until we all went out to a restaurant and he proceeded to put on a matching bright green sweater.  He is fifty and slightly overweight.  But very nice.

Our first look at Sam Heughan as Jamie Fraser.   Um ... I'm not loving the hair.  Or the scowl.  And he has a big ol' fivehead.

(There is room for improvement, yaknowwhatimean?).

I discovered Twilight AFTER Robert Pattinson had been cast and filming had already begun.  So I haven't really gone through this with a character I really LOVE from the beginning.
