so, hullo, gents. a few notes:

-the freeforall lasts from midnight eastern thursday night until 6pm eastern sunday evening.

-no permission needed to post anything at all during this time- but please, refrain from nuding the front page (meaning the "add campfire" part). also, no foul language. save all that shizz for euphemisms and the comments. (why? you might ask. well, darling- because it keeps the casual observer from coming here and being all OH DEAR SWEET FIRTH WHAT HORROR HATH THOU WROUGHT. by going inside the campfire, you've already clicked the registration agreement that you're going to see that stuff and therefore cannot complain. well, i mean, you can always complain, but you can't say you weren't warned.)

-holiday freecycle coming up- i've decided to do a separate candy/baked goods exchange and will make the intial post thanksgiving week (i have ellinor to thank for that, it'll be tidier to have two separate posts for it). if you don't know what a freecycle is, click the "freecycle" tag at the bottom of this post and check out some of our previous freecycles!

Professors Test Fifty Shades of Grey Library Book, Find It Has Traces of Herpes

Two Belgian university professors decided to apply their knowledge of toxicology screenings to the 10 most borrowed books at the Antwerp library. Each book underwent bacteriology and toxicology tests, and the findings reveal that library books are even more germ-covered than you expected.

While the experts found that all 10 books contained traces of cocaine–enough so that people who touched the books wouldn’t feel the effects, but might test positive for the drug–they also found something pretty gross: Fifty Shades of Grey, your weird aunt’s favorite mainstream erotic series, tested positive for traces of the herpes virus.

The professors assured everyone that concentrations of the virus were so minimal that there is no public health risk and it would be impossible for people to contract it by touching the book. Still, something to keep in mind next time you consider taking trashy erotica out of the public library.

I find the FSOG angle of this story somewhat hilarious.  That said, I love love love the library and this really creeps me out.  It's not like I didn't KNOW people took the library books into their homes (into their beds?!), but knowing and KNOWING are two different things.  I don't even want to think about that cute set of wine glasses I bought at the thrift shop 2 weeks ago.

Thoughts?

While I love Theo James he is way to old to be Four :(

Bella and Jasper are together in H.S. When Bella tells Jasper she's pregnant he turns on her refusing to accept her or their child wanting nothing to do with either of them. He even accuses Bella of cheating on him with Edward, Bella's slightly geeky BBF and or neighbor. Jasper ends up leaving state. I can't remember the circumstances of why. I think collage or military school (?).. Edward, who has always had unrequited feelings for Bella steps up and supports Bella through her pregnancy, there every step of the way. Bella soon develops feelings for Edward. E/B eventually become a couple. After Bella has the baby & notify Jasper he flips out when he learns Bella and Edward are together, threatening to take Bella to court for custody. One of the parents (Edward's dad?) fly's out to speak with Jasper. The parent returns with papers giving up all parental rights signed by Jasper..

Diving Deep for Fan Fic Treasures

This week I read too many fics to count. Found some that were readable, but just weren't....interesting. :(

Baby drama.  Edward is kind of a jerk in this one.   We'll see how this pans out.

This one is more a fic rec, than a fic dive.  I love all of this gal's quirky characters. Including this cranky, hot-n-cold, loafer wearing Edward.
