I wanna talk about the past. Earlier people were saying how long they've been in the fandom. And just the other day I went back in time to the 1000 page section on here, and there were campfires about people LIKING the published fic that shall not be named.

Obviously, this was eons ago. But do you miss it? 2009 and all the hubub about New Moon and was there or was there not a Robsten. There wasn't a fic being pulled every other minute.

Tell me someone remembers fondly....

Bella and Alice live in an apartment building in Manhattan. Edward and Jasper live across the hall. There are no boundaries, and one day Edward walks in on a topless Bella. Their lives become a series of competitions to see who can embarrass the other one more. AH/OOC, eventual HEA, with lots of coffee and lots of references to "Friends." Rated M for future chapters & language.

I am a huge fan of the show Friends. This is our Twi-faves in a Friends setting and I am really enjoying it!  Even if you've never watched the show, you can still appreciate the snark and witty banter.

Bella is going to need money to pay for her senior year of university, or run the risk of having to move back home to Forks. Poor Charlie gets forced into early retirement.  Bella has to make some dough. Cute and fluffy story so far.  CEOward.

Only a few of chapters in and I can't wait for the next update. Quirky OOC characters. NOT your typical Alice and Jasper! Can’t wait to see who else turns up!

Interesting premise. Ed, Em & Carlisle find a human baby Alice on their doorstep and have to navigate the waters of child rearing. Canon elements with fun twists. The writer states that the chapters are complete and will post regularly.

Evening Shade was no different than any other small town in middle America. The biggest problem Mayor Edward Cullen was faced with was the placement of a stoplight and the fact the town didn't have reliable satellite service because of the weather. That was, until she sped into town. That was when everything changed. AH/AU/OOC. Canon couples. EPOV/BPOV. Adult Situations.

Mayor Edward tries to convince Bella to stick around this odd little town. I love all of this gals stories.

Hey campers - well, it's actually pretty nice here in central Jersey (exit 10ish) this weekend. More snow on the way tonight, but should stay to the south and down the shore, so hopefully I won't be shoveling out (again) in the morning.

I did something totally out of character for me - I purchased the published version of Hydraulic Level 5. Just more curious than anything and it was only $2.99, so I figured no big deal, right? Apparently, this fanfic was published in September of 2013. So, I've spent the past week or so reading this money version of the fic, and at the end of the book, I discovered that she stopped before it was complete - and now there's a sequel coming out called Skygods.

Thus, the dazed and confused portion of this campfire. So, here's a couple of questions: first, does anyone have a pdf of the original fanfic - I never finished it before she pulled it and now I'm burning to know what happens to these two.  Please pm me if you would extend your kindness to send me a copy.

Secondly - what has been your experience with published fic? Do you find the stories mostly the same, or have they been changed enough to make it a "new" reading experience. What stories or authors do you think translate nicely to published fic? Are there any stories in particular that you would recommend? Any that you purchased and then wish you didn't?

This  is my first foray into published fan fic - I find the whole idea interesting, even though I kinda feel cheated by not knowing HL5 would become more than one book. Not that $2.99 is a huge amount of money, but I feel weird knowing I'm semi-hooked and have to wait for a sequel to be published.

 I know that the majority of us loved Coming Through the Rye by Mac214, but I'm pretty sure that she wasn't the only talented author to create a Scottishward.

Ever since I can remember, I've been pretty obsessed with weddings in general. Just the idea of having a big fat Indian wedding is just.. woah. Anyway, we have just about a bazillion traditions. Maybe more. One of my fave things is the dancing!!!! SO fun and exiciting and energy packed! Examples (2 of my faves):
