Hi everyone, Kris Bliss (MyInfiniteBliss) posting her first campfire!  Why does that sound so... cool?  Yes, I'm stuck in summer mode and I'm currently in the mood for a s'mores.   Getting off track... Wondering if anyone can point me towards a manipulation/banner maker or group that takes requests.  I've started working on a new story, The Red Carpet (thank you again for the rec on here) and I need some art for it.  I'll be the first to say that I can't even correctly draw a stick figure let alone use a mouse and make the magic happen, it was a failed attempt that I tossed rather quickly.  Any info would be great and thanks in advance!

I missed the ADF drama but I have had enough in my RL lately that my cup O'Bull poopy runneth other. To summarize, someone let me down, turned into a personal grudge against me, then took it out on my daughter, so momma bear came out and then the stressed caused a RA flare up that crippled me for a few days, got a shot, got better, more of the aforementioned drama and I am upset again. Trying to relax though because I cannot have another RA flare up. Seriously, I couldn't walk, move, open a door, brush my own hair.... like I was in a coma but I could sit up and talk.

So, it's my MFing Birthday (8/17) and I want it to rain down men! I think we all need some pick me ups, so let's see those hotties. It's FFA right?

I have corrected (I think) the URLs.  I didn't do it earlier as I had hoped we would be able to get the .COM back, which isn't happening unless we pay thousands of dollars to the A-Holes filling the internetz with malware.

If anyone sees any alerts / urls etc which are still .COM let me know and give me an example in this campfire and I will do my best to correct it.

So, a lot of drama just blew up. It looks like my direct ways are to blame in some way. People have left ADF, some hinting that I'm the reason. That is not what I want - to drive people away. I'd like to know if people would be more comfortable if I left. This is the internet and I can't tell if people have cut me out of the circle of conversation with sublte back turns or glazed over eyes whenever i speak. There is no way to see people looking at their watch, or walking off. Post in the campfire you views, please.

I just found out that a few really awesome people deleted their ADF accounts.

This pisses me the hell off.

This is a community I've been involved with since 2008, and I've never made a dime from it. In fact, if you were to calculate the virtual cost of my time based on the salaries I've had since then, I've put a helluva lot of my own money into it. Not only that, but I literally had my credit card on the servers to auto debit, keeping this place running for about a year. My investment remains HUGE, even if I disappeared while finishing grad school.

I've always blandly tolerated the people whose posts led me to dislike the poster. On the other hand, I've grown personally attached to those whose posts led me to feel a warm connection to the poster.

I've made a few lifelong friends here.

I'm outraged that childish carelessness on the part of some folks with no filter causes good peeps to leave ADF. I'm allowed to feel this outrage, and although I expect some folks to speak out against me here, I know others feel the same outrage, even if they're less concretely but just as emotionally invested in this place.

Some of you don't deserve this dressing-down, but some of you do need a reminder not to be a total douche. If you make a comment that someone takes umbrage with, in future, please try diplomacy instead of sticking to your one-sidedness at all costs. It might be a cost that I am not willing to pay.
