So, a lot of drama just blew up. It looks like my direct ways are to blame in some way. People have left ADF, some hinting that I'm the reason. That is not what I want - to drive people away. I'd like to know if people would be more comfortable if I left. This is the internet and I can't tell if people have cut me out of the circle of conversation with sublte back turns or glazed over eyes whenever i speak. There is no way to see people looking at their watch, or walking off. Post in the campfire you views, please.

I just found out that a few really awesome people deleted their ADF accounts.

This pisses me the hell off.

This is a community I've been involved with since 2008, and I've never made a dime from it. In fact, if you were to calculate the virtual cost of my time based on the salaries I've had since then, I've put a helluva lot of my own money into it. Not only that, but I literally had my credit card on the servers to auto debit, keeping this place running for about a year. My investment remains HUGE, even if I disappeared while finishing grad school.

I've always blandly tolerated the people whose posts led me to dislike the poster. On the other hand, I've grown personally attached to those whose posts led me to feel a warm connection to the poster.

I've made a few lifelong friends here.

I'm outraged that childish carelessness on the part of some folks with no filter causes good peeps to leave ADF. I'm allowed to feel this outrage, and although I expect some folks to speak out against me here, I know others feel the same outrage, even if they're less concretely but just as emotionally invested in this place.

Some of you don't deserve this dressing-down, but some of you do need a reminder not to be a total douche. If you make a comment that someone takes umbrage with, in future, please try diplomacy instead of sticking to your one-sidedness at all costs. It might be a cost that I am not willing to pay.

Ladies (and gents) I come to you for help!

A friend of mine has decided to get married in Vegas, next May and I have been given the honour of helping plan the hen.

Now, I've never been to Vegas before and was hoping I could get the inside scoop from everyone here?

Where are the best places to go? Any super secret night spots that us English women may not be privy to?

The brides step mum has refused the traditional (debauched) hen activities so I need something suitably classy and muted for the day.

But we want hard core, cheesy, drunken hen-do activities in the evening

(recommendations for places to see semi naked men are more than welcome)

Bonus task: Vegas themed songs? Trying to put together a playlist to add to give everyone flying out for the wedding :)

I've branched out into a different fandom. Don't get me wrong - I'll always be in the Twilight fic fandom but I'm happy to have found a different Fic to love. Last week someone asked for Hunger Games fics and got a few suggestions. None of those worked out for me, but I found one by skimming the stories an author read.

This fic, The Worse Games, is book canon and not movie canon. No sex, no violence beyond the idea of Katniss giving birth.

The link will be in the campfire. I'd love to see us do something like add more non-Twilight suggestions!

One of my real life friends was posting on her FB page every day the things she was grateful for.  I love the concept--looking for the joy in all the little things, not just the big things.

So this week, I challenge you to share with us not just the big things you are grateful for, but all the little every day things that we take for granted.
