the nom nom nominations for the eddies/bellies are HUGE this go-round, and it's been, what.  three days?

you have until december 10th to nominate your favorite fics.  keep 'em coming!  think of it this way: i have to wade through and make sure the fics are even eligible, so you can at the very least annoy me with nominations.  i've got quite a lot of homework this weekend.

Some of you Doctor Who fans may know Alex Day (nerimon) from youtube. He's in a band called Chameleon Circuit and he sings songs about the show.

ANYWAY, he's just a really hilarious guy and I'm addicted to his video blogs and found that he's started posting about Twilight. He basically bought the book out of curiosity for it popularity and is going to read it and make comments about it in his videos, chapter by chapter. For the most part he's making fun of it but it's just too funny and his comments are completely justified. LOL It's completely entertaining and you should really watch them!! So far he's done up to chapter 4.

 Back in the day, my excuse was "homework", it has since advanced to Comp rewrites and web modding (neither of which I do all that much of). I tell ya.. cell phone web browsers sure do make reading FF a very inconspicuous endeavor. Now I can ignore whole groups of people while I 'check my email', yet seem social at the same time.. since I'm out and about in public.

so my day today sucked. I mean, it blew major chunks. I wanted to cry but I didnt even know why. 14 hours and the only worth while thing to happen was me finding a kitchenaid stand mixer for only seventy bucks on sale and then the closing song on Glee.

Any way, I really need to laugh and smile. so got any rec for something funny? Really funny. It doesnt even matter if its cannon or human or what ever. though i would prefer twilight, at this point just any subject would be fine. thnx.

from the dreams i can remember, i've dreamt about comforting rob before the new moon premier as he had a panic attack.  last night, rob and i chatted in a swimming pool.  to my dismay, we only ever talk, which seriously disappoints me since i've read quite enough fanfic to provide inspiration.

'Twas the Night Before Christmas, Twilight Style!

I didn't write this.  Twilighters Anonymous member hexingirl did.  It's a cute offering for the Christmas Season, featuring the characters and some moments in The Twilight Saga.  

Has anyone else done a rewrite/parody of a famous poem for Twilight?

I am having a really shit time in real life at the moment, same as last August when I discovered the world of Twilight. 

Anyway my saviour is anything to do with Twilight - if its reading really good fan fics, 1st option, looking for Edward shots, 2nd option or hiding myself away at the movies to watch New Moon repeatedly, like I did last year for Twilight.

i posted this thread before, but then i deleted it... err... yeah

So I was reading the new chapter for Burn and Shine by pulsepoint.. and the thing that really interested me was the thing about Edward's sleeping habits--

“I can’t sleep in here with you,” he told me bluntly. “It’s freaking me out. Like having you right there and I don’t know I’d be asleep and you might or I might I don’t know. It’s making me sick.”

It got me thinking about my own sleeping habits... I can't have anyone come near me when I'm sleeping, I jump awake.. I scare the shit out of a few nurses when in hospital they'd come into my room while I'm sleeping to take tests and I'll jump awake before they get close to me..
If someone is sleeping in my bed, they have to be there when I go to sleep, and if I wake up in the middle of the night, they could get pushed out of the bed. And then on the other side of that is if someone is in my bed when I go to sleep, I freak out if they're not there in the morning when I wake up.
I also have this reacurring dream where this woman runs into my room, stands over at me and screams at me. She actually looks like a human version of the cat lady in the Simpsons..

So after I've probably sounded completely insane... I want to know your sleeping habits, and reacurring dreams.. have you ever had characters of books (yes Twilight) come into your dreams? have you ever had a dream of something, and within a few days it happens.. some people are said to have dreamed about their own death and then died within a week after.. (Abraham Lincoln to name one).. Would you like to experience that.. (well obviously not the dying bit, but the prophecy bit) 

Sorry this may seem mad.. But I have always found dreams really interesting.. and sleep to be honest, I used to suffer from insomnia, I'd have nightmares that haunted me and I could never sleep after them. They were always the same one..

to prove I'm not completely insane I would really like to know your thoughts.. dreams etc..

So yeah… I seriously hate Alice in fanfiction, which is a shame because she’s one of my favorite characters in the books.

I feel like I read the same relationship over and over again when it comes to Alice. It doesn't matter how OOC the characters are, Bella always ends up being awesome friends with Alice, and Alice is always pushy and manipulative and Bella just lets her run her life. It's gotten to the point now where I'm mostly reading one-shots cause I get so frustrated when I have to read yet another chapter about Bella developing a friendship with Alice. And yes, I know character development is necessary- even in fanfic, but I've read so damn much of it that I really just want the juicy E/B bits (cause I'm annoying like that).

Can someone rec me some fic (primarily E/B) where Bella just hates Alice. I’ve only read two, Secrets Don’t Keep Friends and Just Like Them, that don’t follow the, “let’s be bestest-best friends and sisters!” pattern that a lot of fics seem to follow. Or better yet, can someone rec me a fic where Bella just yells at her for being a manipulative, selfish tool? Or says NO to going shopping? Or tells Alice to fuck off when she interrupts her getting it on with Edward?

This is based on the same principle as Fuck my Life or Vie de Merde (if you're French). Basically, you tell a story of how Twilight affects or affected your life and you end it with MLIT.

In the ninth grade biology class I teach, there is a boy named Ed and a girl named Bella. I have paired them up for every lab assignment we have had so far in this year in hopes that they will get together. I even asked my supervisors permission to hold a blood testing day. MLIT

Today, I was half naked and getting dressed when my Edward cutout (which I bought on one of my frequent trips to Forks) fell on top of me. Instead of pushing it off, I exclaimed, "Oh Edward! Not this early!" Then my mother walked in and took him out of my room saying, "its for my own good." MLIT

The other day, my teacher was trying to compare the recent Swine Flu outbreak to "the illness outbreak of 1918", but she couldn't remember what illness it was. I told her it was the Spanish Influenza, and she was quite impressed. Thank you Stephenie Meyer, for helping me in history. MLIT.
