Soooo...this is my first post ever. I have been reading ff for over a year now and have been lurking on ADF for a month now but I felt it was time to say something...

I'm currently sitting on my boyfriend's bed reading ff while him and his friend play "Call of Duty," and my boyfriend all of the sudden decides to finally notice me with my eyes glued to the computer screen (mind you I've read ff a lot around him) and he was curious to know what I was doing. I tried very hard to explain to him exactly what ff was without sounding completely psychotic. After I told him what it was he called me a weirdo and I told him to suck it. I AM NOT ASHAMED OF MY FANFICTION ADDICTION:)

I was just wondering (if anyone is open with their ff addiction) how you would describe it to someone, or if there is a different way you could explain it to someone other than saying "I'm reading stories written by people who use the characters of "Twilight", but mainly have nothing to do with the plot of "Twilight" whatsoever..OH... and it completely consumes my life... just sayin.

Anyhow, I started reading Roseward months and months ago.  If you know me at all you know  I hate canon I appreciate any well written story.  And the best part about Roseward is that I dont have to worry about too many cliches (ie insecure Bella, selfish Bella etc. because Rose is too bold to play around)

Since it has been so rainy and cold over here in the west coast area, I have been reading ff. (go figure) and I have notice in TONS of stories that Bella, Rose and even Alice always seem to wear Yoga pants around the house. I don't even won a pair of Yoga pants much less actually do Yoga. (I tried it wasn't pretty)

so my questions to you is... What is your favorite comfy clothes? Do you wear Yoga Pants? AND What things have you found common in stories you have read?

Hey everyone!

I'm in need of a beta for my new story. Short summary: Bella is a little bit fat and one night, she meets Edward. It's the story of their relationship. There won't be any angst or drama. It's just the story of two people and how they make their way toward love. It'll be a short story: from 5 to 10 chapters tops. It's entitled: The Beautiful and the Damned.

I'd really love someone who is an author herself as I'd love to bounce some ideas for future chapters. I've alredy written the 1st chapter.

I am looking for fics where Edward uses one of these things.  Yes, that's right, I want to read an Edward with a disability fanfic, but not of the mental variety. So he can be 8 - 80, blind or crippled, but NOT crazy...got it? Deafward would be ok too.

And for the love of cheese, please make it something you actually enjoyed reading (no throw aways please). I'm just in the mood for something different and I have seen a few Bella with a disability fics, but very few Edwards. They gotta be out there somewhere, right?

Okay. So this is a stupid idea I just had.  Blame the lack of caffeine and resultant headache. I'll fix that in a moment.

I was just reading the most recent "Can you help me find this fic?" post and had an idea.  What if someone just blurted out some random plot that COULD be a fanfic but that they had never seen done as a fanfic? Has someone actually written that plot, no matter how implausible, in the fandom?

Ex: Bella decides that she'll stay human because Edward emotionally blackmailed her using HIS SOUL as reason for her to stay human and keep HER SOUL.  She does it and they're both HAPPY.
