Ultimate fans of Twilight have a reason to howl with excitement: a sneak peek at The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. Walmart announced today it will be the only retailer to carry The Twilight Saga: New Moon Ultimate Fan Edition on standard DVD, and Blu-ray, with never-before-seen footage from the upcoming The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. Walmart also will feature “Twilight Saga Shops” in stores – a dedicated shopping experience for Twilight fans to bite into a variety of Twilight -themed clothing, jewelry, and merchandise, including new items to show their wolf- or vampire-fan pride.

Fans can pre-order The Twilight Saga: New Moon Ultimate Fan Edition on DVD or Blu-ray, as well as the national two-disc Special Edition DVD or Special Edition Blu-ray today at Walmart.com. With the new movie and 50 minutes of extra footage and interviews, The Twilight Saga: New Moon Ultimate Fan Edition also contains an exclusive, 7-minute sneak peek of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. It begins with an exciting behind-the-scenes look at the production of the newest film. New interviews with stars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner, as well as with series-creator Stephenie Meyer, are integrated with revealing on-the-set footage of some of the key scenes and sets from the upcoming movie. This first-look at The Twilight Saga: Eclipse concludes with the world premiere of an actual scene from the upcoming film.

With the movie release scheduled for March 20, 12:01 am, fans can be among the first to own the DVD, joining friends nationwide at midnight release events in more than 2,600 24-hour Walmart stores. here's my beef with the vamps:  if you have the opportunity to repeat high school/your career over and over and over and over again, OF COURSE you are going to be good at it.  If i could repeat high school twenty times, i'm sure i'd be the effing prom queen by the end (i was very anti school spirit at the time...).

I studied to be an architect for a number of years before i belatedly realized i was terrible at it and hated it.  Now i'm working at a brewery and in the process of saving money to go to art school.

Hiya! So this is my first campfire.....I'm kinda nervous!

I just wanted to put it out there that Emancipation Proclamation has been taken off fanfic! So sad! I nearly cried! Luckily the author has a blog to continue on!

So, to make this more interactive, what fic disappearing would affect you most?

With FF.net pulling a buttload of fics, I've heard some people are just pulling their stuff all together and going to a new site to post their stuff. What about you? Are you sticking with ff.net or are you going to jump over to Twilighted...or the Writer's Coffee Shop, or Blogger, or any other place?

And if so, why are you choosing to go there to post your work?

 Can anyone give me the lowdown? 

Are they filming it or not? 

Will it be one film or two? 

When is it going to start filming?

Any targeted release dates?

I can't keep up with the latest.

 Sorry for beating a dead horse but since it's come up SO much lately I'm dying to know.  It seems like quite a lot of the campers have a strong dislike for fanfiction that contains sex/smut/porn/erotica and I am honestly surprised.

So what I want to know is why.  Why do you dislike it so much?  What about it specifically bothers you?  Are you convinced that any fic with sex just simply couldn't possibly be good?  Does this dislike of sex (whether it's PWP or porn with plot) extend beyond fiction into the 'real' world?  Do you also harbor a dislike for sex in the regular fiction you read?  Or in movies?

And conversely if you like fics with sex, why?  Besides the obvious unf factor what draws you to it whether as a writer or a reader?

Inquiring minds want to know.

All this talk of fics being pulled due to violation of the fanfiction.net terms of service has me thinking. What if this is a good thing? It's no secret that there are quite a few stories out there that rely primarily on lusty romps to draw crowds. Maybe with that particular aspect required to be toned down there will be a fic revolution. Less heavy breathing, more plot? Thoughts? 

(This is not in any way meant to be a dig at any of the fics that have been pulled. I haven't even read most of those mentioned here. This is meant purely as a discussion starter.)

About ffail.net and their TOS and fics being pulled because they violated it, well, I guess we can't do a thing about it, right? What we are getting are authors being extremely mature about it and some fans freaking out, but, again, freaking out is sort of expected when people discover their favorite stories may be pulled.

So, besides making a list of who is going where (which I know some people are already doing and I would love to know where to find it when it is done), and suggesting alternative sites (such as ADF, adultfanficion.net and so on) I get to the reason of this camp fire: unless the fic is a PWP smut fest, why not just write the fic as usual, and if the author feels the need to put explicit sex scenes on a chapter, just... I don't know, let the reader know that an uncensored version of the chapter is available somewhere else? I had a friend who did that and it worked quite well.

And why bother doing that? Well... mostly because, whether we like it or not, ffail.net IS the biggest place to go when looking for a fic. And also, this way fics wouldn't get scattered all over the interwebz.

Uh... any thoughts? Do you guys think it is a stupid idea? x)

 Hey Ladies! You guys seem like awesome gals, and I know this is my first attempt at a campfire but I'm pretty desperate...

I received a rejection letter from my favorite college today and I'm feeling pretty down in the dumps

I have been lurking around for a week now, and probably should formally introduce myself.  I am ManiacMotherland. That is my pen-name at FFNet. I am not on Twilighted because, frankly, I find that site just a wee bit intimidating.  I am buying Photoshop as an early birthday present this weekend and I am going to see if I can make myself up a banner for my WIPs. Then, clutching a friend's hand for support, I might just jump into Twilighted.  Here is a link to my FFNet profile page.  I still don't know how to do more fancy hyperlinks or include GIFs in my posts, so if anyone wants to help me out there, I'd appreciate it.

I write historically based twific with a gentlemanly Edward. That is the niche I have settled into.  I like playing around with the when and where because I prefer an Edward who isn't too OOC.  He wants to be a good person, and I want to let him be a good person.

I recently released a new chapter of "Just Like a Woman" which is set in 1968 Vietnam, with both Bella and Edward as doctors at an evacuation hospital who had a one-night stand before Bella's first day there. I like this story because it allows me to sit around listening to Otis Redding and Sam Cooke and Bob Dylan all day and have Edward say and do romantic things.

I also have another story, my main WIP "Bella's Cowboy Romance", which is set in 1919 Arizona with Charlie Swan as a cowboy and Edward as a transplant from Chicago who is trying very hard to fit into Bella's world.  He can't rope and he can't whittle but he can ride a horse very well *wink-nudge-nod*. I like this story because Charlie is basically my dad, since I am a cowboy's daughter. This one got nominated for a couple Twific Indie Awards.

Here are a couple things that make me laugh.  I will say hello to everyone who says hello to me... until LOST comes on tonight, that is... and then you are on your own. :)
