Hey now...there's that little thing called chemistry!  Also...yum.

So, there I was this morning, staring blearily into the mirror as I put on my makeup for work, and it struck me that I have quite the routine for my face in the mornings. Which led me to the thought that Bella... well, our little vampire lover didn't have much of a routine at all.

I love makeup, and cosmetics in general, but there are a couple of things that I can't live without, and are so part of my "routine" that I don't even realise I'm using them.

This being top of my list...

Yup, I can't live without mascara, and this one is fab... If I was stranded on a desert island, this would be my one request - yes, I know it's very vain of me, but anyone with pale lashes like mine will understand!

I have many other things that I use every day, but I won't bore you with the details!

So campers, what beauty products can you not live without? If you were stranded on a desert island, what would your must have beauty product be?

And what would you recommend for Bella, product wise?

Personally, I would tell her to use a moisturiser with built in SPF - even in rainy Forks, those pesky UVA and UVB rays get through, and we all know the girl has enough issues with aging as it is!

I have just been thinking of this and thought I would start a campfire to see if anyone else is of the same thinking.

Abandoned Fics. 

We have all I am sure read fics that have just stopped after a few/alot of chapters and never get updated.

What I am wondering if some of the authors that visit this site have abandoned their fics for some reason and have no interest in finishing them, give them to the Forest for other authors to pick up and run with or if we have friends of the authors of the stories we can direct them here to do it as well.

Simply make a campfire and enquire "anyone want to finish my fic?" or along those lines.

I am starting this as I just read 2 chapters of a story by one of the campers here, not realising it was done a while ago and not going anyhwere, but I really enjoyed the premise of what the story could be.

Please let me know if I am out of line, or have no idea what I am talking about seeing I am a reader and have never written a fic in my life. (I don't count the BCR one! when I was 13).

 In an earlier thread Fantasy Mother mentioned 'requirements' in regards to the fics she reads which got me curious.  What are YOUR requirements?  What gets you to read a story or not read a story?  Particularly I'm looking for things outside of content meaning for example what in a summary will get you to try and read a fic or vice versa what in a summary will turn you off.

I'm tinkering around with a new fic idea, putting together an outline, etc. I'm currently debating on how I want to tell the story.

I'm debating on 1st person, but I also like 3rd limited. I've done both styles in various forms and am comfortable with either one. Part of me is considering a 3rd omniscient, but I'm a little apprehensive of going that route. 

I'm curious what your thoughts are on the pros and cons to various modes as well as selecting the right POV(s). What types of stories lend themselves to what modes? What is more interesting to read? Why?

I was just reading a fic, and it got me thinking: when there are lemon and the taking off of clothes is described, why do they never take off their socks? Possibly Bella's not wearing sneakers, but when would a guy ever not be wearing socks? They talk about taking off pants, shirts, jackets, ties, dresses, etc... but often you're left wondering... are they bumpin' nasties while wearing socks?

here's my beef with the vamps:  if you have the opportunity to repeat high school/your career over and over and over and over again, OF COURSE you are going to be good at it.  If i could repeat high school twenty times, i'm sure i'd be the effing prom queen by the end (i was very anti school spirit at the time...).

My question for you is - if you got a do-over, what would you change?  or if you've had one already, what was it?

I studied to be an architect for a number of years before i belatedly realized i was terrible at it and hated it.  Now i'm working at a brewery and in the process of saving money to go to art school.
