So I've just started writing a new fic, and I'd really love someone to read over it...so I was wondering if any one of you lovely people would like to read it and help me out?

And I was also thinking, when you're writing...and you get stuck (if any of you ever do get stuck lol)...what do you do? Do you just leave it and wait for inspiration to strike? Or do you have something you do?

 Remember the post I made the other day about seeing Jackson Rathbone/100 Monkeys doing a free acoustic set in Boston?  Yeah.  I didn't quite tell you the whole story.

As I *think* some of you know I am a staff writer for Blogcritics.org.  Well thanks to that snazzy title and a bit of initiative on my part I scored an interview with Jackson and the band the following night.  I haven't written the article yet but I thought you guys might appreciate some pics in the meantime and I'll post a link to the article later if you want.

As most of you know two months ago one of our wonderful moderators over at Pemberley, Lisa (lasmke) passed away in a car accident. We have decided, as a nice way to honour her memory and what she held dear, that we would run a one-shot Austen fic contest with her in mind. Thus we will be hosting the Austenatious Endeavours Challenge. Come one, come all and write us some fun, frolicking and fabulous fanfiction.

The challenge will combine Austen with everything imaginable, and hopefully be delivered to you in a way different to most other fanfic challenges. There will be no "prizes" or "winners" - just fic, fun, laughter and respect - the way she would've wanted it.

So I was wondering what other readers did with just completed Fics?

I have them on my Alert Watch List, but I can't bring myself to let go and remove them.

I keep the fics that I want to start on Favorite List.

"A Litany at Dusk" is just sitting there because I just feel it is disrespectful to just remove it after all the hard work the writer put into it...the ending haunted me it was so good. ( if you haven't read this you must!)

Any suggestions?

I asked this question on my twitter, but I'd like to hear what a lot of people think.

I'd like to know everyone's ages - if you don't mind telling, of course - because I was feeling extremely young in the Twific author world and Twific community for being only 22. I find Twilight fanfiction is dominated by the lovely ladies in the late 20's-30's range. 

I started off in Harry Potter fanfiction, and I've been reading since I was 14, so I almost thought I was too old for fanfiction (fellow VIP Author Ruby_Wednesday and I were discussing this on twitter), but then I discovered I may be one of the young ones!

So, this is a post where I need help finding a story. It's one where Bella and Emmett are step-siblings. Emmett plays in the NHL with Edward. Bella calls all the hockey players hockey whores, or something like that. Of course, Edward and Bella hook up. Please help me find this story

I don't know if it's just me, but I LOVE seeing banners for people's stories. Whether they're funny, or they draw you in, or they have a really hot Rob on the front...

I think it's awesome how talanted some people are in making banners, I recently made three for a new story that I'm writing and wanted to take the oppourtunity to see the ones that others have made.

So show me your banners!

Include the ones that you don't even use if you'd like, or the ones that others have made you.

Or just pick your favourite to share!

Another thing I'd like to ask is what do you use to make your banners? 

Do you have something fancy like PhotoShop? Or do you just stick with good ol' paint?

Everyone loves that show. And even if you somehow happened to not love it, we’re sure you’ve at least seen it. So locate those DVDs or flip through the channels until you find a rerun.

We want them all! The show we all know and love chopped up and stuffed into a blender with the book we all know and love.

Twi-ify that Friends-ness! Because that is the essence of this competition. We'd love to see Jasper and Emmett as nap partners! What if Rosalie had a touch of Monica's OCD? Edward and Bella on a break? Or maybe you want a story about Jasper and Hugsy, his bedtime penguin pal?

"You're a paleontologist, dig a little deeper."

Feel free to explore your creativity! Combine pieces of episodes, toss some B-list characters in the mix. Maybe Jane is the one who runs out on her wedding and then ends up homeless writing songs about smelly cats and sticky shoes.

We'd like to keep this as light and funny as possible, but please don't feel limited to write about fluffy kittens and floating bubbles. This isn't NBC, so if you feel like squeezing lemons or dropping the eff-bomb, by all means, please do so. Just add a proper rating.

Submissions will be accepted through May 6th, which is a Thursday (and since I couldn't resist quoting Joey here) that means the third day of the week:

"Monday, one day; Tuesday, two day; Wednesday, when? Huh? What day? THURSDAY!"

So I was just driving home and I was thinking about all the things I love about my favorite fics. And, then I thought about how much we all love to share these tidbits of information. So I propose a fill in the blank of sorts:

Now, it doesn't have to a big part or your only favorite part about a fic. Just something you really loved about the fic.

I love this fic Redshift, Blueshift by lts29 because Edward has  a border collie named Clyde.

I love this fic Elemental by TallulahBelle because Edward and Bella are compelled to touch one another all the time even while fighting and the most innocent of touches brings both of them peace.

I love this fic My Escort by Bratty-Vamp because Edward wears huge yellow smiley face boxers to a interview with an escort service. Ok so I love everything about bratty vamp's stuff but I digress.

Hi everyone!

I'm very excited by the new VIP authors here on ADF! BUT...I like to only read completed stories, and I find it difficult to discern which stories are in progress or which are done. So i'd like to know if there's some way to make them easily recognized as completed.

Also, is there a way to see posts you've submitted or left comments for? That would be very helpful as well.
