If your pet could talk, what is the first thing s/he would say to you?

So I was re-reading a favorite story of mine this morning called Catastrophic Love Implosion, and remembered all over again why I fell in love with it. It had some great one liners and paragraphs in it. Ones that really touched me. If I had to pick a favorite it would be this:

What does a marriage sound like when it implodes? Is there a deafening crash that leaves an acrid, putrid cloud in its wake? Does it fizzle and pop like an impotent percolator? Or does it shock the soul with silence, with not even a sigh to mark its demise?

So it got me wondering. I know this has probably been done before, but I can't recall when. So... what are some of your favorite lines from a story you like? Which ones really stuck out the most? Is there a specific reason why?

So, a reader of mine has sent me a message through twilighted, offering me to translate one of my fics in Spanish. She has stated that other readers, who understand spanish better than english, want to read it in spanish, and thus, they approached her.

Now, I'm not really against translations or anything, but... I want the translation to have the same quality as the original work. That is, I don't want my work to turn into a silly, half-cooked translation in spanish.

How am I to check that? I don't know spanish (maybe a few words here and there, but not in literal sense). I cannot see if she'll do justice in her translation.

So. should I accept her offer?

Hello, i just wanted to ask if any of you here had purchased Unidentified Redhead ? I bought two e-books at omnific last february, valentinecompilation and Alice Clayton's. I'm just not so happy of Unidentified Redhead becoz i can't access it with out internet. Maybe it's their idea of protecting the story against piracy or whatever but still, i think it's ridiculous.

I was just looking for a story I read awhile ago and noticed hey it's not there anymore. After some googling I learned that it has been renamed and reworked and can now be purchased on Omnific.

I understand why an author would do this as they deserve some compensation for their work but I kind of feel used as a reader. I thought of checking out the reworked version but I am not even sure I would want to read it as the use of twilight characters is obviously what made me want to read the story in the first place.

So what is your opinion on the whole Omnific thing? I am sure it differs between readers and writers and I am just genuinely curious.

After many talks with doctors and the insurance company, I have gotten myself approved for surgery. I'm going from an embarassing size to a happy size. I'm ecstatic and fucking freaked out at the same time.

A lot of people have been finding various stories through campfires so I was hoping someone could help me too!  There is a story I am searching for and I tried to search on FanFic but it didn't produce the correct results.  The summary includes something like this:

Alice and Bella are roommates and Alice thinks Bella and Alice's cousin (Edward I think) are made for each other.

I think the author may have a story on my favorite list, but I can't remember.  I am pretty sure it is also completed. 

Any help would be super appreciated!! :D

I was talking to a friend today remembering odd "accidents" we've had when we were little, and I realize I was pretty "Bella" in my younger years... Here are two examples:

When I was 11 I was stepping out of the shower and I slipped. I hit my ribs against the toilet, my toe against the tile (which was broken!) and the skin on my knee got ripped and I had to have stiches.

A month later, I was fighting playing with my sister while sitting on the floor next to a chair, and she "threaten" to hit me with a bottle (yeah, we were angels) I just reacted, and looked away, hitting my brow against the edge of the chair... I looked like this:

So I was wondering... Where you "Bellas" when you were little? Do you still feel klutzy? I should admit, it's been a while since I've seen the floor up close, but I walk more carefully now!

So, a frand raved over these books.  And then another one did and another one did and I was all, weva, I don't read vampire books, duh.  (It should be noted that I said this with a straight face.  In my head.)

So finally I succumbed and I read Dark Lover, the first of the Black Dagger Brotherhood books.

After almost a year of living in ‘wah wah wah we don’t eat humans, we’re sweet vampires’ world, I found vamps with fangs.  And tats.  And guns and scars and oh holy hale, these boys have fangs. 

Or should I say…these MEN have fangs.

I’ve read six books in about 8 days.  I want to write some seriously smutty BDB fanfic, but JR Robb has said no way to FF.  I think she’s a fucking moron for this, because lemme tell ya something.  IF there was no twific?  I guaranfuckingtee you that I would have gotten over twi a long damn time ago and moved on with my life.  No movies for me, no soundtracks, no sweethearts candy that says I <3 EC.  None of it.  (Okay, that last bit was bought as a gag.  Rilly.)
