Dakota Fanning's Perfume Ad: Too Pedo for the British

The banned advertisement was for a new Marc Jacobs perfume. As you can see, the 17-year-old Fanning is fully, even modestly, clothed – yet holding a large perfume bottle with a giant hot-pink blossom atop it on her snatch.

Hopefully this counts as supernatural (cause, er, it sure ain't natural)!!

Is anyone else loving American Horror Story?  OMG, I missed the first three episodes and then a friend told me I HAD to watch this.  Thank goodness for Infinity's On Demand (otherwise Comcast bites, but whatever), because I was able to quickly catch up.  This show is SO GOOD.  I haven't liked a new show this much since The X-Files was brand spankin' new.

Does anyone else here watch AHS?  What do you think?  I see that they've been approved for a Season 2.  How is THAT going to work, I wonder?

This well known actor from the Twilight franchise is set to come out. He wanted to do it in this round of press tours but is being pressured to wait until the final installment tour.

Thoughts? I am torn between two...

As divisive as the final book in the Twilight Saga is, it seems there is one thing we can all agree upon:

Renesmee is a pretty god-awful name. 

My query to you, campers, is what if your parents had pulled this on you? Portmanteau-ed the grandmothers (or grandfathers) names to create something unique, special and memorable for their child to cling on to as they were bullied through life. 

I have it simple. My grandmothers' names were Mary-Ann and Miriam. I'd end up Maryam or Miriann. Nothing too bad, but with that name I'd probably spend my time trolling bingo halls, drinking gin and crocheting toque's for new babies in the fam. 

Hiya Campers!

I just kinda sorta came back from a long needed break. I say this because it's better than the truth, which is that I couldn't figure out how to log in apparently. I had a blonde moment for about....7 to 8 months and thought that I could just happily type in my username only instead of my whole email. And this frustrated me, oh how I missed the comments and the interaction of the forest....the wind in my hair as I rode through the trees on my stallion...okay so that's going too far.

Anyway, I failed at failing.

Now, to make this interactive and connected to something important: what say you about the frustrating moments of Twilight (or the Vampire Diaries because I finally got it on Netflix!). What really makes you tick about either series? (And I know most might say Breaking Dawn so be creative here.)

So I need some new fic to read, since I'm kinda bored in the pairing department.

I read a lot of Edward/Bella and Edward/Jasper, but I want something new. So I thought of a pairing I haven't read.

It has come to my attention that writing is a very hard thing to do well.  

I love to write more than almost anything but sometimes I want to bang my head against a brick wall and cry into my laptop, not literally because that would break it and stuff, but you get what I mean. 

So many of us are writers.  We write fan-fic for all different fandoms, original fic and loads of us are taking part in National Novel Writing month.

I thought, why not start a campfire where writers and readers alike can share not only what they like to see in FF and Books, but any tips they have picked up from experience, any advice that they would like to share to make our writing life just that little bit simpler and a little less lonely.  

So I present to you the...

Writing advice campfire!!

The idea is that you pop in here and share absolutely anything to do with writing.  Tips or advice, links to useful webpages, what a story should or should not include, plot advice, grammar and spelling, advice on planning, on publishing, what you think makes a good fan fiction or novel.  Just anything that can be useful to current writers, or people thinking of getting into writing.  

Then, if you favorite this campfire you will be able to come back when ever you want and use it as a reference guide or just read through it again to get some ideas.  

Even if you don't write, please still come in and let us know what you like to see when your reading.  Books or Fan fic it doesn't matter.
