As I cannot recommend just one story, so I'll recommend an author whose work I go back to again and again: Rochelle Allison.

Here's a rec that I am really enjoying ! The White Pen joined the forest not too long ago, so why not show her some love by giving this supernatural fic a looksee...it's well written and quite intriguing!

I started out in the Harry Potter fandom, with Lily/James fics. And this one, this one fic, has been there with me practically from the start! It’s the only HP WIP I still religiously followed, even after my fandom switch (though I’ve lately gone back to reading HP fic as well).

If I had to recommend a HP fic? Yes. This one would be it. But as it hadn’t updated in about a year, it was difficult to rec. BUT I HAD HOPE, OH YES! And finally, it has paid off!

And in a BIG way! This update is just shy of 50,000 words!

I know the sheer size of this fic might scare off some readers, but I would urge everyone to give this on a try! It is just THAT good.

I just finished reading the latest book in the Outlander series, and am feeling incredible withdrawal pains!!  (Actually, first I should thank that person who mentioned their love of Jamie Fraser in a campfire back in Feb -- they are the reason I picked the first book up and fell in love!)  

Now, after 4 months of Jamie and Claire at the breakfast table, Jamie and Claire at the bus stop, Jamie and Claire at the drs office, Jamie and Claire in the bathroom (!?), and Jamie and Claire in bed with me and my husband, I am all alone (well, except when I'm in bed with the hubs!). So now the question becomes -- what next?  What's a good series to start on while I'm waiting for the next installment to be published next year?  Has anyone read the Clan of the Cavebear series?  Any and all recs would be greatly appreciated!

A couple weeks ago I had a campfire where I asked if you guys think I should move to Canada for a couple years or not and EVERYONE said I should go for it.

I started the whole process and the agency I'm working with send me an email yesterday regarding the interview process.

Now I know interviews are a necessary evil that you can't escape when looking for a new job, but I've only ever been to one job interview (the job I have now) and it was in my native language not English which is my second. It was also in person and not a phone / skype interview (likely what will happen with this one).

The agency told me to prepare a list of potential question that I may be asked with my answers to them. I really like this suggestion but I don’t have a clue what to do.

They included some of the most commonly asked question, but even then I don’t know how to answer them!

Questions like :
• Can you tell me about yourself and your work history? (I’ve never been able to sell myself, if someone asks me this question I always ask what THEY want to know! I can’t very well do that in an interview!)

• What interests you about this job?

• What skills can you bring to the position?

• What is it about our company that appeals to you?

• Can you describe your last job?
 

Can you guys maybe help me with any potential question that employers ask in an interview? Maybe also how to answer them? 

I would really appreciate it a lot!

A weird question that I had in my interview was "Why is a manhole round?"
