Some professor of psychology has made a composite police sketch of the infamous Mr. Grey based off of several different women's descriptions of what he looks like. This is the description: 

The resulting picture is a mash-up up Patrick Dempsey's dreamy eyes, Brad Pitt's rugged jawline, and David Beckham's classic face shape, among other features. "While we don't want to intrude on anyone's fantasies," Skelton said in a statement, "This is the image of Christian Grey they have in their heads when reading the novels."

Rec: This is one of my fave One Shots that I wished  would have been continued into a full length stories...or at the very least a few more chapters. I LOVE this Edward. (If anyone knows any tractor driving Edwards on par with this I"d love a rec!)

You'll have to excuse me for the Armitage tag. When I saw I missed him at ComicCon this year I was utterly heartbroken. I've had to watch North and South a couple of times to compensate. Incidentally, he's also become the picture I have in my head for one of my characters in my novel. So I'm going to stretch it and say it applies ;)

It was announced today that Sony has penned a deal with Diana Gabaldon to adapt the Outlander book series into a series for the small screen.  This has been rumored for years, but it appears to be moving closer to reality now.

I am elated and terrified at the same time.

Casting this well will be HUGE.  I'm not sure anyone can do justice to our beloved JAMMF.

And so help me God, if they stray as far from the books as HBO did with True Blood ...

I'm also a little more than frightened by the fact that they got a sci-fi guy to take the helm on this project.  THEY DO REALIZE THAT AT ITS HEART, THIS IS A LOVE STORY, DON'T THEY?

I am reading this Twilight Horror/Romance story at the moment called Haunted, by author Cestlaviesuckers. Has anyone else read it?

I've really been enjoying it and have been finding myself getting fired up over the questionable things that this Edward does! It is very entertaining and I recommend it, I think if you like reading Twi fanfics, you'll enjoy it- so if you think you will, do check it out and leave the author some appreciation. :-)

 This Edward is a little dark and jealous, too.

Summary:

When Bella accepts a ride home from Edward Masen one rainy afternoon, she feels an instant attraction to him. A crush. I don't know if there was a campfire about this or not, but this is the first time I'm hearing about it.

For those of you out there who watched The Secret Circle that came on after The Vampire Diaries on the CW, the show has apparently been cancelled. There also doesn't look like there will be a DVD/Blu Ray of Season One coming out either.

I was actually getting really into the show, so I'm disappointed that it's over. The Season One finale basically set the audience up for Season Two, and now we'll never know how the story will unfold. I'm not sure how close the t.v. series was to the actual books, but I feel like I need to read the books just to know what happens.

Thoughts? Opinons? Was I the only one finding this out over a month after it had been announced? lol

I have never done a "bitch" session here before, but I wanted to tell you a little story about what happened to my family this week when they visited Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure. I am spitting mad, and I'm sharing this with the intention of saving you some SERIOUS dollars and potential headaches. During these tough economic times I think its important to share with others those places worth your trouble, and those that are not.

I will preface this by stating that we live in Jacksonville, Florida, which is a couple of hours north of Orlando. My brother, who brings his two kids (ages 9 &10) down from Washington, DC each year to spend his annual week long vacation with us and my youngest sister, who has five kids (ranging in age from 1 year to 14 years) decided to visit Universal Studios so their kids could  see the Harry Potter Park, Spiderman rides, etc. My sister's husband and two of the kids did not go with them.

Upon arrival, they purchased tickets to "Universal" -- which unbeknownst to them is NOT part of "Islands of Adventures". (It is important to note that although we live in Florida, the Universal Studios parks are very confusing and you're not really sure what is and isn't included in each park -- my sister assumed that Islands of Adventure was the "roller coaster park" because that's what they heavily promote). The cost of the tickets were $90 EACH (because unless you are an embryo, virtually everyone is considered an adult). As they were paying, they were told that the lines for the rides were quite lengthy and they were "upsold" fast passes at a COST of $50 PER PERSON.

Once they were in the park, they discovered that half the rides their kids were hoping to visit were in "Islands of Adventure", so my sister schleps back to the customer service desk to see what their options were. After waiting in line (with numerous other customers), she was told that since they had passed the "one hour mark" the ONLY option they had was to pay the special two-park fee, which was an additonal $40 per ticket! There was also a cost differential in the fast passes, but due to my sisters vocal ire, they "comped" the $20 per ticket upcharge.

Back in the park, they discovered the following: 1) most rides have a height regulation, so the younger kids were forbidden to ride many of them 2) Universal's "E.T" ride and Island of Adventures' "Harry Potter Experience"; were broken, so too bad, so sad 3) a large portion of the rides are actually simulators and come with warnings for people with bad backs-- even the Dr. Suess ride!!! My sister said her 5 year old dare devil cried throughout the Dr. Suess and Spiderman rides, and both mother and daughter were nauseous most of the day. Also, my brother carried a standard backpack and was told it was too big to keep on his back and therefore had to put it in a locker (another line) only to discover it was too big for most of the miniscule lockers.

Buying food was another joy. My sister spent $50 for lunch -- two sandwiches and drinks and two kids meals. Snacks later consisted of chips and drinks at an additional cost of $40.

Oh, and unlike Disney, where the parks remain open until midnight or 1 am, Islands of Adventure and Universal close at 9 and 10 pm, respectively.

By the time their Island of Adventure HELL was done, it cost my brother more than $700 and my sister almost $1000. My sister told their customer service desk on the way out she hoped they enjoyed her money, because it was the last penny they would ever see from her again.

I am sharing with you so that those who plan to spend time at these parks are prepared both mentally and financially!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
