I came across this article and thought it would be a good conversation over here at the forest.  I've been vocal on my feelings toward P2P stating that a story line can exist beyond the "twilight" realm and that an author creates and owns their plot, etc.  I think this article is really good in showing an authors perspective and the different between a 50 Shades nightmare and the "right" way to P2P, I guess you could say, if you believe there is a right way.

Either way, it's an interesting read :)

Anybody else watching the concert for Superstorm Sandy? Kristen Stewart just introduced Bon Jovi and she looked LIKE HELL. Sunken eyes, greasy hair, pasty skin, veiny hands.

My husband knows nothing about Twilight and he said "Whoa, that girl is on some hard s***. She needs to change her lifestyle or she won't last much longer." (Unfortunately, he's seen a few friends go through addiction, so he isn't totally talking out of his butt with that comment. Not that you can really tell through a screen, of course.)

Otherwise, the tunes are freaking awesome. Don't forget to donate if you can.

So, this Sunday I was supposed to attend a concert of this amazing gal here in Brazil.

But unfortunely, her father, Indian sitar Ravi Shankhar (who influenced George Harrison to do that amazing arragement for Norwegian Wood) passed away yesterday and she had to cancel her Brazilian tour to be with her family.

Not gonna lie, I'm bummed. I was really, REALLY looking forward to her concert, especially considering how amazing her new album is, but my heart and prayers go out to her. It must be a tough time for her right now and I hope she has a good support system.

12/12/12!!!!!!! Last time our generation(s) will ever see this!!

So, when I first heard that they were re-doing Superman, I was feeling just "eh" about it all.  I'm not a huge fan of the superhero genre, but I have enjoyed a few.  But today, I saw this trailer and I AM EXCITED!  I love that this seems to be a more introspective and moody take on the Superman.  I can't wait for June!  I think this looks awesome.

For America's critical establishment, 2012 is the year in which they are going to have to say good-bye to their favorite whipping child, the Twilight series. Since the first film debuted, scoffing at this, silly girls, and their preposterous thrills has been a cottage industry for our critics.

It’s worth asking, however, what middle-aged male film critics think they are watching when they view a Twilight film. But it's even more worth considering who they think they are speaking to when they throw tantrums about the films’ failings in their eyes. For teenage girls to get a major-event film series of their own after generations of being expected to tag along to their boyfriends’ favorites is a cause for enormous celebration. And critics who don’t see the charm might well ask themselves whether the series calling out to something deep in the teenage female’s psyche represents the line beyond which a critic’s powers have no meaning. But instead, for Twilight film after Twilight film, the critical establishment has staged mass freak-outs, demanding that the half-witted poppets who fall for such drivel evacuate the multiplexes immediately. All well and good for a critic to take a stand against a film, but that they so rarely feel the need to smack down the teenage boys who take in an endless stream of far more vapid action fare shows that Twilight’s wolf whistle did, in fact, tap something in the psyche of our critical establishment — and that they didn’t like it one bit. —R.R."

Interesting to see how Kristen's upcoming romcom "Focus" will do in the BO. Quite a height difference with Ben Affleck :) I haven't seen a romcom I liked in ages. Then again, I hadn't seen a movie I liked in ages. And then Twilight came along. My guess, without having even seen the movie, is that it won't do well. But then again I'm in my worst mood rn. Gonna have to meet and talk with my ambushing former BFF (ha@forever) tomorrow :S

All human, Jasper and Bella. Rosalie is Jasper's sister.

He is older and goes into the service (I think).

Bella and Jasper have sex. She gets pregnant. She leaves Phoenix to live with Charlie. Nobody in Phoenix knows she had a baby except her mother Renee. Baby is a girl.

Bella did not want Jasper to know she was pregnant and had baby. I think because she didn't want to "ruin" his life.

Renee becomes ill. Cancer, I think.

Bella and baby/toddler go back to Phoenix to be with Renee as she is failing.

Rosalie, next door neighbor to Renee, sees little girl and guesses Jasper is father. Bella swears her to secrecy.

Jasper comes home from service or whatever. Ends up seeing Bella's child. Sees himself in child.

Some angst ensues.

They end up together.
